There are often generic brands coming and going on the market. So, I am asking peoples experience with current generics in the U.S.A. for Armodafinil? Compared with each other, with the name brand, or the online generics since they are available to any one Due to insurance company I have to use goodrx.com to get my discount. But don't know if the lower prices at pharmacies they list apply to bad generics that don't work well or not so trying to see how much I need to spend to get a good brand. My prescription right now goes for $66 to $711 depending on the pharmacy. Figure this info will be beneficial to to others as well. And haven't found a thread yet with a good number of comparisons. Reasons I mention U.S in particular is because we don't know if products in other co...

I take armodafinil 300mg 1st thing, and 250mg 8h later. It's for excessive daytime sleepiness. It's successful in stimulating me mentally - I now have full days instead of half days, like normal people. My body's still tired, though, often feeling worn out and ready for bed. Is this normal for some people? Ideally, I don't want to take a smart drug to stimulate me physically as well. The other thing is that it sometimes makes me anxious - but I do need this dose. I have access to Diazepam, green tea (containing theanine) and alcohol - what's the best answer? Is it correct that Diazepam undoes the effect of the armodafinil, the opposite if you like? Does green tea contain enough theanine? I'd rather avoid alcohol, if I can.

Nuvigil (armodafinil) saved my life. I've had treatment resistant major depression for over 20 years. Tried so many anti-depressants - most don't help, or only work temporarily. Side effects of others are intolerable. Numerous rounds of ECT haven't fixed the problem. I even tried TMS, which is not covered by insurance - didn't work. A year ago my doctor prescribed Nuvigil and it's given me my life back. Not enough hours in the day to do all the things I actually enjoy. Also able to feel contentment and peace of mind. Unfortunately, I've had to continuously increase the amount to keep it working and now I'm at a very high dose and my doctor won't let me go any higher. I can't find anyone else in the medical field aware of what Nuvigil can do for my typ...

I have been put on the generic nuvigil (armodaginil) 200 mg. I had started a new medicine about the same time and was having side affects of lipitor. I had swelling, sore joints, headaches, just felt awful. I went off lipitoror right away and about 3 weeks later I still feel awful. Has anybody that got put on the generic nuvigil have problems waking up or functioning at all. I'm very forgetful and just want to sleep all day. Doctors/pharmacy said Iit is exactly the same. I dont understand why since I got switched to generic it doesn't seem to work. I'm going crazy thinking this is all in my head. ## Which generic brand did the pharmacy give you? I'll bet anything your reaction is due to that. Even if the dose of medication is the same fillers/etc can influence how your b...

Has anyone tried these generic Modafinil and Armodafinil meds who can compare them to U.S. prescription brand name or generics? I know 2 of them are made by Sun pharma. I've had Sun pharma generic Adderall which was utter crap and another generic of theirs that seemed weak so no faith in them. The other is produced by HAB pharma which is another Indian company. Nothing against India in general, just their pharmaceutical industry culture is really bad and make cheap drugs often resulting in weak versions. ## Modafinil If I remember correctly when I took this it was for MS fatigue It did nothing for the extreme fatigue it was suppose to help . for me it was just another junk med thrown at me I tried taking it for a month with so much hope huge let down. ## Been a while. Have tried the...

What you are experiencing IS NOT listed as a normal side effect, you should call your doctor immediately, as this may be a serious condition in need of treatment. You can learn more about this medication here: Nuvigil Click Here Are there any other questions? ## I took my first Nuvigil pill this morning around 6:30 am. I wigged out so bad like I was on speed. I don't recall the drive into work, shaking/tremors, confusion and everything is kind of dark. Vision is not blurry just seems darkened. Kinda scary. Called my doctor, spoke to a nurse, waiting on a call back. It seems to be calming down a bit, ...

what is the difference between the 2 medicines besides the doaseage and the Nuvigil is cheaper ## Provigil contains the active ingredient Modafanil and Nuvigil contains the active ingredient Armodafanil. They are in the same drug class and treat the same things. The only difference is the needed dosage of each and the fact that sometimes one medication works better than another for different people. For instance, I have a severe problem using Metoprolol to treat my high blood pressure, I get a ton of bad side effects from it, however, I have no problems at all using Carvedilol, even though they are in the same medication class and do the same thing. It's just how it works. Which one has your doctor recommended?

Need to know if there are. Any side effect to take nuvigel while on methadone prescribed to both but by two different doctors. Crossed my mind to ask my last visit. ## Based on my research, there are no drug interactions listed between Nuvigil (Armodafinil) and Methadone; so you should be fine taking the two together, unless otherwise told by your doctor for some reason or another. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Armodafinil Details You can learn more about this drug on the page for Methadone Details I hope this info helps!

Started taking nuvigil 250 mg 2 weeks ago. Today noticed bloody stool is this a common side effect? Can't find any info on it. 45 year old female. ## Based on my research, dark urine and/or clay-colored stools, are both listed as severe side effects of Nuvigil (Armodafinil) that should be reported to your doctor immediately. Although I'm personally not aware of just how serious these types of side effects can be, it is likely that it may not go away until you stop taking what's causing it in the first place. So the sooner you're able to contact your doctor, he or she can then recommend other alternative medications in the meantime. Anyone know what this pill is I found it in my sons room? I need to know what it is I am worried that he may be doing drugs ## Hi. I just received a pill in a prescription with these details. I hope I am correct so that this ends your inquiry. I believe it is armodafonil, the generic form of the drug Nuvigil. Google the drugs so that you are aware of what it does. I take it because I work various shifts at my job and it helps me stay awake. ## @Kelly & Phil, Just wanted to confirm Phil's findings that he seemed a little unsure of. A white round pill with M on one side and A 32 on the other, is reportedly identified as a 150mg Armodafinil tablet; indicated for use in treating sleepiness. Basically it's a wakefulness promoting agent. For additional verification, the pill itsel...

Ive been working over night for a year now and I am in serious need of nuvigil or provigil. I am having trouble getting a hold of this medication. My doctor said he didnt believe in the drug so I no longer see him cuz I have a prroblem and he wouldnt help it. What type of physician should I talk to that knows about this stuff cuz mydoctor had no clue what he was talking about. ## Armodafinil is used to treat excessive sleepiness caused by narcolepsy (a condition that causes excessive daytime sleepiness). Based on the description of this medication, I can see why your doctor doesn't believe in it. The underlying cause of the narcolepsy (sleepiness) is what really matters here, and not just treating the symptoms of it. I guess you have to ask yourself if there's really any aspects...

Looking for some real life experiences to hear about. I'm new to nuvigil as of today, and like to have the occasional cocktail. I've read warnings saying not to combine, so am I going to have to quit drinking? Anyone with experience I'd love to hear from you. ## Hi James, I'm not one to speak from personal experience, but according to umm.edu, there are no drug interactions listed between Nuvigil (armodafinil) and Alcohol. Based on these findings alone, I have no reason to believe that you'd experience complications upon using the two together in a responsible manner. Other drug interaction checkers I've come across do not list anything discrepancies either, so depending on where you read those warnings suggesting otherwise, it seems to me like the best thing to ...
