I have several problems in my back and psoriatic arthritis... Am disabled and cannot find a pain clinic talking Medicaid. Pcp Lewis is referring me out but I suppose she (rederral lady) missed the fact the last place does not take Medicaid... Options are zero as far as I can see... PLEASE ANYONE HAVE ANY INFORMATION??? ## Hello, Liz! How are you? I'm sorry that you're having a problem finding a doctor. In your case, it might be better to contact Medicaid and see if they have a listing of doctors in your area that accept it. Many do have directories of various specialists, so they might be able to help you. Did you remind the person doing referrals that you have Medicaid? Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area? ## If u haven't found anyone White River Pain Management...

I work in the log woods doing hard labor. My back has been hurting me badly for about 3 months now. I need a doctor close to Oklahoma/Arkansas area that will try and get me some kind of prescription to help me through work. I tried Hydrocodone and it makes me sick. I have not tried going to the doctor because I'm young and feel they will most likely laugh in my face. So please if there is any doctor around this area that is willing to help out please contact me ASAP. ## Back problems are known to occur at any age and no doctor will laugh at you about it. The real issue is that it may be something that would be easily fixed with treatment, that you are just making worse by not going to a doctor for a proper diagnosis. I originally wrote on 3/16/14 looking for a pain doctor in north central Arkansas or southern Missouri...I live in Mountain Home, AR & am willing to drive to Springfield MO or as far south as Little Rock AR, as far west as Fayetteville or as far east as Jonesboro. I moved from California to Arkansas to be with my sister a year ago & am still unable to find a doctor here who will prescribe the meds I was taking in CA, which were 60 mg MSContin twice daily, 350 mg Soma three times daily, and 1-2 10 mg oxycodone every 4 hrs, plus a 3rd one 45 minutes later if I really needed it. It is like the twilight zone here in AR; every doctor thinks you're a drug addict even though I have all my surgery records, films, discharge instructions (I'd been in a nursing home for 2 yrs befor...

I moved from California to Mountain Home, Arkansas (north-central Arkansas) last year & have been unable to find a pain management doctor. I have seen two doctors. The first one accused me of being a "drug addict" on my first visit despite the fact that I brought all of my surgery records, MRI & X-Ray films, discharge instructions (I'd been staying in a nursing home) & my original medication containers. He was rude, abusive, and would actually yell at me during visits. To my great relief, he finally referred me to another pain mgmt. clinic two hours away. But, guess what, I received the same treatment from the new doctor! I don't want to bore you with all the details but will share some of the facts. I have been in a wheelchair for 9 yrs., I've had 2 lumb...

I moved from Florida to Ashdown Arkansas area and need to find a caring doctor that will continue my medicine. I have all my medical records and I am on Medicare.

please I need help finding a Methadone Doctor In South Arkansas, Opiate Dependent, and cant take Suboxone (makes me horribly sick!!) if anyone knows or if a doctor reads this PLEASE HELP ME! just want to be as opiate "low" as possible have to many back problems Drs, told me I could "probably" never be able to stand the pain without some sort of pain management! any help would be greatly appreciated Thank You ## There is no "Methadone Doctor" so to speak, any doctor that can prescribe medications can also prescribe Methadone. If you require it for addiction, then it will need to come from a Methadone clinic, but for pain, any doctor can prescribe it. Which are you looking for? ## Moved to Arkansas last year from Texas and drive 6 hours every month for a doctor app...

I have taken methadone for about 9 yrs. and other pain medicines before that. I have chronic pain post polio syndrome, Degenerative arthritis, Degenerative disc. in back due to severe Scoliosis. New laws passed , so my Doctor stopped doing pain management, not sure why. The pain management clinics are expensive and they do not take medicaid. I need a Doctor for pain management that can prescribe pain medication, but who takes medicaid patients. The Disable and poor are out of luck now. Need Doctor from south Arkansas ## I'm sorry, but even for any listings I find in your area, I have no way of knowing what types of insurance they accept. Have you tried asking your doctor for a referral somewhere else? Have you tried contacting your local Medicaid office to see if they have a list of...

Need pain doc in Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi or Arkansas? One who Is willing to help you. ## Hello, Lucygirl! How are you? Due to the new directives set forth by the DEA that involve prescribing restrictions, you'll need to see a doctor that is located in the same state you live in. Do you currently have a PCP that might be able to refer you to someone? If so, that might be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need. Which state do you live in? This information would enable someone to recommend a good doctor for you, if they know of one.

Have had back problems 6 years now due to car wreck and also pulled it again at work. Just had a baby 3 weeks ago and now it is affecting life with my new baby like picking him up getting him ready etcetera. Need a family doctor that I can talk to that will prescribe opiates to make life easier. I also have Medicaid. Please help! Email {edited for privacy} ## Hello, Cynthia! How are you? If you require such medications on a long-term ongoing basis for the management of chronic pain, you'll have to see a pain management specialist. A PCP won't be able to prescribe them for you, due to the new regulations that were put in place last year. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly, though? That would be the quickest way to find the help you need. Can anyone suggest a good ...

Was in a car accident with back and neck injuries. Have been given hydrocodone that doesn't touch the pain. I live in Arkansas and heard oklahoma pain clinics understand and are more compassionate. Can anyone help me and tell me what clinics I can go to to get oxicotin??? I am desperately seeking help. The Dr. I had seen before for pain is no longer in business. ## Most will not prescribe for out of state patients, and most pharmacies will not fill, unless the doctor and patient are located in the same state. It is also never a good idea to seek out one specific medication, since most doctors will see that as being drug seeking behavior. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mou...

Anyone know a doctor that will prescribe pain medication in Mobile Alabama? Suffer from severe arthritis and neck and back problems. ## HI, Daisy! Sorry that you're in pain. Since you're in Alabama, the best suggestion I can make is that find yourself a regular, general practitioner and then discuss the issue with them, so they can refer you for pain management. Basically the area of the U.S. from Iowa, Arkansas and etc. over to the east have all been hit with a ton of new regulations for the prescribing of pain medications, due to the heavy rates of improper and over prescribing that were going on. Under these new regulations, general practitioners are restricted in what they are allowed to prescribe for pain and how long they can prescribe it, so most patients requiring strong...

I quit trying to get help in Arkansas and haven't tried going any where else because doctors seem like they are afraid to prescribe anything . I have Psoriasis on every joint, stomache area and behind the ears as well as pain in all of my joints where I have the Psoriasis. I have tried using online doctors but that is just so expensive. I have used hydrocodone and it take about 40 mg to get relieve that last for about 6 hours and same withe percocet. I had a friend let me try his hydromorphone(diluadid) and 4mg of that seem to work better and last longer but I don't know of any doctor especially in Arkansas that will prescribe it. I have had a staff infection for quite sometime. It is very pain full. Can you tell me how can I get the Teflaro? The doctors here in Little Rock, Arkansas have never even heard of it? It sounds like it might be the answer to this awful staff infection. Thank You! ## It's a Cephalosporin class antibiotic, which contains the active ingredient Ceftaroline Fosamil. It was just approved last year, so it may not really be widely available, yet. We do have an information monograph here, which you may want to print and show your doctor: It does require a prescription and medical supervision for use.
