Opana 20
are the green Opana 20 time relesed if so how long does it take to kick in ## The green opana 20mg that are manufactured by Endo Pharmaceuticals Inc. are extended released tablets. The length of time it takes to "kick in" can vary for each individual and is also based on whether or not you take it with a meal. Having it with fatty food may prolong the absorption time due to a slower metabolism. I would think that you should be able to notice it when the drug kicks in, do you not? I don't have any personal experience with taking opana, so I can only assume that you feel the narcotic effects when it is absorbed. I hope this helps! ...

Oxycodone 20mg Time Release Or Not
Is 20 mg oxycodone time release or not and how can I tell ## If you're prescribed it, there will be an ER on the bottle, what color is the pill and are there any #'s on it? ## The only time released Oxycodone available in the U.S. is the brand name Oxycontin, which has either an OC or an OP on the tablet and would have a 20 on the other and is pink. If that is not what you have, then you have a regular release formulation that is a generic for Roxicodone. Here's a link to learn more Oxycodone details for anyone that may need it. There is also an instant release, but it is only available in 5mg capsules. What are the markings on the tablet you're asking about? ...

my wife takes one 20mg lexapro at bedtime. She feels better at the time before going to bed than when she wakes up in the morning. would changing the medication to a time released aprazolam give her a more level relief from anxiety throughout the day and therefore have her feel better when she wakes up as opposed to taking lexapro or the regular aprazolam ## What has her doctor advised? opana er 10,20, and 40 mgs
what happens if u put water on it? ## It gets wet. ## If you just get it damp/moist, it will start to dissolve the outer coating of the tablet. This should not be done, however, as it could result in the medication being released to quickly, resulting in an overdose. Opana is a narcotic pain medication, so it must be used very carefully and should only be taken as instructed by your doctor. Are there any other questions? ...

Op 20 Pill Pink - cutting in half?
Is it possible to at least cut these in half in order to take a lower doseage? ## These are time released tablets and, even though they have tried to formulate them to prevent it, cutting them in half could still result in your getting too much of the medication released, at once. The Oxycodone in this is a very potent narcotic analgesic and getting too much at once could be very dangerous. If you require a lower dosage, you should contact your doctor, as they can prescribe them in a lower amount. Are there any other questions? ## I have cut these into quarters with no adverse affects. So it is basically become a 5mg dose. I like these because they do not contain acetaminophen like most other narcotic prescriptions. So one pill can last me up to 2 days. ...

Old Opana
The old formulation of Opana (octagonal) was far superior than oxycodone in relieving severe chronic pain. Opana is a time released medication that is extremely potent Because of people who abused it, several people died due to overdose. The FDA mandated that Opana be reformulated to deter abuse. The new Opana is, at least for me, totally ineffective although the extremely high cost remained. As of June 2013, there is a generic available although it is still outragesly expensive. ## And once again, what is relevant to you is not necessarily applicable to everyone else. While Opana may have worked better for you than Oxycodone, there are other people who didn't have good luck with it and got much better results from Oxycodone. Learn more Opana details here. Op 30 Pill
can i split one in half or quarter ## No, it is not safe to cut and divide these tablets. This is a 30mg Oxycontin tablet, which contains the narcotic Oxycodone in a time released formulation. Cutting or breaking the tablet could result in your getting too much of the medication, at once, which could result in overdose. The new formulation is supposed to help prevent this, but the danger is always there. If you need a lower dosage, you should speak to your doctor about prescribing it in a lower dose or different formulation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## It is only safe to cut an oxycontin (op) inhalf if it is a 20mg or less cause cause the most a person should intake of instance release is 10mg unless said different from.doctor... due to case of overdose.. Strength of OP 20 round pink vs 10 MG NORCO
How does this compare (strength wise) to the Norco 10mg/325? I was taking those one per four hours? ## Hello, Katy! How are you? The Oxycodone is stronger, but since it's time released and you aren't taking it as often, you're probably looking at about an equivalent level of pain relief. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Oxy OP HELP!
I have been taking 10/325 oxycondone. Today I was prescribed 10 mg OxyContin OP. I am used to getting all 10 mg instantly within 10-20 minutes. When I took one of the OP's I did not get any relief or feel any effects for almost 4-5 hours later. This is unacceptable for me. I would like to get all 10mg at once like when I take my 10/325's, but I'm afraid of overdosing if I take more than my prescribed dose! Can someone please help! ## Hello, Coot! How are you? You can't do so with these. They are time released and the new formulation prevents tampering to release the medication all at once. Have you consulted your doctor? You may need something for breakthrough pain, while waiting for the time released ones to take effect. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the poten... ...

HELP PLZ !! ## Opana contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone, a potent narcotic pain reliever. I have never used this one, but have used several narcotics when I was on pain management, so I can provide you with some information. If you are dealing with severe or chronic pain, narcotics are often prescribed this was to try to help you get better pain control.
