It is apparent that AF Plus is not appealing to consumers. Despite intensive advertising over a considerable time period offering a free trial to the first 100 applicants, they are not getting even 100 applicants. Presumably once they have their 100 applicants they would stop advertising. Why keep advertising after 100 if you are not going to respond to them? The FDA goes on to state that this is because new drugs are usually protected by patents that prohibit others from making/selling copies while drug manufacturers recoup the costs of bringing a new drug to the market (- as if they really need the financial support, right?)
