I found this pill in my house a white oblong pill with 084 on one side and APO on the other ## Hello, Marie! How are you? I'm sorry, I don't have pictures to post for you due to copyright reasons, but I can tell you that this is listed in the U.S. prescription drug databases as containing 30mgs of Paroxetine, which is an SSRI antidepressant. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, headache and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with?

The Doctor prescribed me this apo-sulfatrim ds 800/160mg, 84tab for 42 days. This is antibiotic and im worried that it will damage my kidney. Should i take all this 84 tablets? ## Hello, Connie! How are you? Do you have a kidney problem? If so, this antibiotic should not be taken. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. If you do not have an existing kidney problem, it can be taken, but you should be advise to drink plenty of water, unless you're on medical fluid restriction, because it has been known to cause kidney stones.

My pharmacist changed my generic Ramipril manufacturer and told me it was Watson. He claimed it was the "best" and had a great reputation. I found 2 other listings, never Watson. Is this just the same old line when it's really the pharmacy's bottom line? ## There's really no telling who the manufacturer is unless you're able to provide a pill imprint and description to look up. Listed below are the Ramipril manufacturers I personally came across after looking at various pills, but it may not be all of them (I have yet to see Watson as well): Cobalt Laboratories Inc Roxane Laboratories, Inc. Apotex Corp. Sandoz Pharmaceuticals Inc. Lupin Pharmaceuticals, Inc Teva Pharmaceuticals USA Dava Pharmaceuticals Inc. Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Inc. InvaGen...

This question is about the effect of peroxynitrite on cell death. Increasing PN production, decreases NO production (NO is scavenged in the process of creating ONOO-). However, the concern/thing that we didn’t understand was why PN doesn’t instantly kill cells since it’s a more potent radical. Sure, you decrease NO, so maybe you get less death that way, but you’re replacing it with something that seems like it would be even worse. So, why do you at least initially get less cell death? ## Interesting observation here. Perhaps the naturally occuring presence and activities of antioxidant enzymes and their roles in PN-induced cell death (both apoptotic and necrotic), is a major determining factor of its cardiotoxic...
