Can t-bact ointment be applied for active acne? Or any other type of acne? ## T-Bact contains the active ingredient Mupirocin, this is an antibiotic that is used topically, most commonly used to treat MRSA. Has your doctor told you to use it for this? If not, it is not advisable to do so, because it is not to aid in the development of antibiotic resistant bacteria when used improperly. ## Hey thanks Verwon, for ur reply.. but yes my doctor has asked to apply dis n i hve been getting good result. ## i have mosquito bites all over my hands which is like a tiny tiny dots with some scratch marks. my sis-n-law suggested T Bact as she used it for her son and found it to be good. what should i do. use or consult a doctor ## i recently had an accident n i've got my skin peeled off near my r...

## There was an ointment that my mother would use when we would get a cut or blister or anything that might get infected. This was before antibiotics or antibacterial. It was coal black and smelled slightly of tar or sulphur. She would apply the ointment and bandage the cut and leave for a few days. When the bandage was removed the skin would be healed and looked white for awhile but there would be no scarring or discoloration. Do you know what this was and if so is it available today. I would love to have it as I am sensitive to antibiotics. ## Possibly ichthammol? ## An old-fashioned remedy for deep wounds that must heal from the inside out is: Clean wound with hydrogen peroxide. Pack wound with dry grated raw sugar. Cover with air-tight tape. Do not disturb for 5 days. Repeat treatme...

Can I still buy Gray's ointment and if yes, where? ## Hello, LaDonna! How are you? No, it is no longer available. One of the ingredients was oil of turpentine, which the FDA kind of frowns on being used in skin ointments and such. An alternative that is available would be to just look for a drawing salve, they do similar things, but use ingredients that are approved and considered safe. Is there anything else I can help with? ## If diligent and lucky, you may find Gray's Ointment on eBay as have I. Medicine bottle and container collectors sometimes offer it. I have used Gray's Ointment for over sixty years to even somewhat phenomenal success. No other drawing salve, and I have tried, is efficacious. My mother was an old school RN when they did minor surgery and more. She use...

triamicinolone acetonide ## Was perscribed for nose bleeding. ## can i use kenacomb ointment to heal the wound inside my nose for 3 weeks now. thanks ## Hello, Triamcinolone acetonide ointment is used to treat a variety of skin conditions (e.g., eczema, dermatitis, allergies, rash). Triamcinolone reduces the swelling, itching, and redness that can occur in these types of conditions. This medication is a medium- to strong-potency corticosteroid. I have also heard of this being used in the nose for dryness and irritation. To use this medication: Apply a thin film of the medication to the affected area and gently rub in, usually 2 to 4 times daily or as directed by your doctor. Do not cover, bandage or wrap the area unless directed to do so by your doctor. Use this medication only on the s...

Can someone PLEASE tell me if a PRECAUTIONS LEAFLET should be inside the packet of KENACOMBE OINTMENT? I was prescribed this ointment with no leaflet to rub into my scalp for 2 weeks for infected dermatitis; my doctor of 5 years knew I had a bout of shingles two years ago and was still suffering nerve spasms in the back. After four applications of Kenacombe a rash appeared on my forehead; eyes severely itching and ears sore and itching. With no faith in the doctors in my area, I went to Brisbane for a second opinion to my rash as it was now spread to my breasts and midriff and down the top of my legs. The rash was burning and some blistering. The doctor in Brisbane indicated the Neomycin was the cause of the rash and burning and it would escalate for 14 days before easing!! imagine if I...

I am trying to find out where I can buy Comfortine Ointment. It is a Pink thick cream sold in a jar or tube. It use to use it for diaper rashes or sores and it was very good. If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it. ## Do you remember when was the last time you came across this product? Have not had any luck finding it either. It's too bad when good products are discontinued or suddenly disappear. From what I have gathered this ointment contains Zinc Oxide + Vitamin A + Vitamin D (from Cod Liver Oil) as the effective ingredients. There are other topical Zinc based ointments out there, but none with that exact formulation. Another possibility would be to see if a pharmacist could create a custom compound based on those ingredients. Has anybody else had any luck finding this or a...

Can you use clobetasol propionate ointment USP 0.05 on the vaginal area? ## Based on my research, Clobetasol topical is used to help relieve redness, itching, swelling, or other discomfort caused by skin conditions. From what I've read, most of the nerve endings are just outside the vaginal opening, so it would not be of much use internally in any means. "Unless instructed specifically by your doctor or gynecologist", you should only use it outside the vaginal opening (and a thin layer at that, because it is very potent). You can learn more about this drug on the page for Clobetasol Details I hope this info helps! ## If it hasn't been specially formulated for vaginal use, then no. Using something there inappropriately may cause infections, irritation and other medical pr...
