Any information on Clonazepam? ## Years ago I was given a small (don't remember color) pill to put under my tongue to combat anxiety. It worked fast and completely. In minutes I was calm and my body reactions to anxiety were gone. What could that have been? I am now on Effexor ER and would like to get off as it is addicting. ## Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine that is most commonly used to treat anxiety, and panic disorders. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and mood changes. Ref: Clonazepam Information It is the one that was first available, years ago, in a sublingual tablet, like what you've described, however, is it the one that can be addictive, the Effexor you are currentl...

I have Post Partem anxiety and have been going to Minnie Jones for several months to see Dr.Ambrose in an attempt to avoid medications. It's not working. The last time I was on any medication that worked for me it was a coupling of Clonidine (Kapvay) and Diazepam as PRN for anxiety attacks. To make a long story short, I was able to completely stop needing medications for a long time. The program that I was in which originally prescribed these medications was shut down for abuse several years ago, and all of their records were destroyed in an "accidental" fire. They continued to prescribe my meds long distance for years before this happened. What I am saying is, I need a doctor who is willing to go with my suggestions as this is my body, but also who will not push me to try new

I've been on oxycontin 80s for yrs. A new pain mgmt doctor says I'm taking too much and has also refused to prescribe ativan 1mg 2 per day. I have been on a rollercoaster ride with meds being changed. I was given Zanaflex and Topamaze. Will these meds help me? Oxycontin dropped from 160mg 2xday, to 1 tab 3xday, no anxiety meds. Also changed Soma to Zanaflex. I didn't sleep much before this change, now not more than 2hrs a day. HELP!! A lot of yrs. of pain. I can't work anymore. I've raised a family, been a wife, raised Foster Children (My Children too). I love them all. I'm now a GrandMother that hasn't been there for her Grandbabies. I realize that I am new to this site so please understand that I don't usually complain about what I face in life. But her...

I found something out. I've been through every generic of xanax there is I've been on them for 14 yrs. some people love greenstone, which I have, some people love sun, which I have, and I build a tolerance too quick too sandoz. So I spoke to a professional. He said there was a generic brand of zanax 2mg er that was banned in the us because it is sooo stong. One pill takes care of you instead of taking 4 -8 a day. The us wants to make money. He told me the name and he ordered them for me. I missed the mailman I won't be able to try theses till Monday. But they are called pex-2. They have no fillers. Straight xanax 2mg er. Very very strong. Even a zanax pill has fillers. I'm going to try Monday, I'm going to stick with these. ## Your Doctor ordered you a medicine that ...

The top rated ones have habit forming chemicals, like Xanax, Vallium. Are there any medicines that aren't addictive but still effective? ## I am afraid that ANYTHING you take regularly carries a risk of becoming dependent or addicted to it. The main thing of importance is to always see your doctor regularly and only take all medications exactly as prescribed. You are correct that those in the Benzodiazepine family are the most habit forming. You may wish to ask your doctor about some of the antidepressants, such as: Paroxetine: Or Pristiq: Some of them have been used to treat anxiety and have less addictive potential than the Benzodiazpines. Do you have any other questions? ## Yea i already considered anti depressants, but do they really work for anxiety and fear? The main thing abo...

I've been on Xanax, Lorazepam, Clonazepam, and others but I build up a tolerance if I only take it about twice a month. I don't abuse my meds. I have bad generalized and social anxiety disorder and need something for panic attacks when my Cymbalta isn't enough. What RX for bad panic attacks resists a fast tolerance better than most? ## If you only take this medicine twice in any given month its hard to have a quick tolerance to it? What happens, can you not tolerate them or they don't work for you. Perhaps you need to be treated with a different class of medicine? ## They stop working for me. It may sedate me somewhat still, but it no longer helps the anxiety. ## Could the Cymbalta be interfering with the anti anxiety medicines? Most medicine does take time to start work...

I accidentally took 2mg hydromorphone that I had for migraines instead of my anxiety meds but it was 3 hours after I had one drink with dinner. I'm scared to sleep now? Help ## Hello, Channi! How are you? Did you experience any adverse effects? In the future, when in doubt, do not ever be afraid to call your doctor, poison control, or your nearest emergency services department to be sure. As to taking this, after drinking, the main reason you are warned not to combine them, as per the U.S. NIH, is due to the fact that it may worsen the side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, and drowsiness, which may cause each drink to feel as if you had 2, and so on.

Over the past forty years I have been taking oxycodone and valium for different lengths of time, different health issues, and manufactured by many different pharm companies. Until the 1990s the brand names were affordable; $20. for 100 Tylenol #4s, $25. for 100 Percocet 5s. When the drug prices went sky high, generic versions flooded the market, $75. for 100 Miltowns vs. $5. for 100 generic meprobamates; but for every two Miltowns I was used to taking, to get the same physical effect (mild sedation) from the generic version I had to take three times as many. Even my doctor told me that the generics were only about 35% as potent as the brand name, so he told me to ask for the brand name of meprobamate Equinal, which was just as good as Miltown but only cost $18. for 100 tabs. Now, though...

I AM LOOKING FOR A DOCTOR TO PRESCRIBE ME XANAX OR KLONOPIN IN PITTSBURGH PA. EVERYONE I KNOW WILL NOT TAKE MEDICAL ASSISTANCE INSURANCE, ONLY CASH WHICH IS VERY UNETHICAL... WHAT ABOUT PPL THAT REALLY NEED THE MEDICATION??? ANYONE THAT KNOWS OF A PSYCHIATRIST THAT WILL PRESCRIBE EITHER ONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT?!? I WOULD RATHER TAKE THE KLONOPIN BECAUSE THE XANAX CAUSE MY DEPRESSION TO GET WORSE AFTER TAKING THEM ALTHOUGH THEY HELP THE ANXIETY WHICH IS FAR WORSE, BECAUSE ITS NOT ONLY TORTURE BUT LEADS ME TO TERRIBLE BEHAVOIRS. THE KLONOPIN ACTUALLY HELP WITH THE ANXIETY AND DONT WEIGH ME DOWN AFTER TAKING THEM. AND WORK WELL WITH MY ANTI DEPRESSANTS. started on benicar 20 mg 3 mos ago...made me feel worse and in a fog... Doc lowered it to 10 mg..got me down into the 120's/65's which is great ! need to know all possible side effects..including not being able to get a full nites sleep or even 1/2 of one ..2/3's of the time since switching to 10 mg..feeling of anxiety as soon as I start to fall asleep..What meds are safe to take for this occasional anxiety feeling while on benicar ? ## You can learnBenicar side effect information here. As to the anxiety, has your doctor made any suggestions? There aren't any interactions listed between Benicar and Benzodiazepines that are commonly used to treat anxiety, but your doctor has to decide what to prescribe. Is that the only time you experience it?

I am on epilim cr 500mg bd. Concerta 54 mg daily and serdep 100 mg nocte. I have severe anxiety and panick attacks. I drink xanor SR 0.5 mg prn, but more daily or twice a day. I still have severe panick attacks and anxiety. Can it be the other medication causing it ## Peanut, ABSOLUTELY concerta can definitely cause anxiety your best bet speak to your doctor and see what he suggests that combination of meds MAY cause anxiety and symptoms of a panic disorder to worsen.

Hello!!! This is a question for my mother, not me. She doesn't know how to use 'Net. She is in her late 40's and has horrible anxiety, and chronic pain [endo, back problems, cervix problems, fibroid, currently has sprained/bruised rib, and her uterus is backwards from giving birth to me, good job, me!] She was on oxycodone 7.5 but she lost one of her pain specialists because they accused her of "stealing" a bottle of oxys that were supposed to be for her upcoming surgery [hysterectomy] but we had problems w/insurance. They wouldn't cover the surgery but she had already filled the pills, so they said she stole them even though she said she'd give them back, but they said no, you shouldn't have filled them in the first place. So she got kicked out. Anyways,...

I have been taking citalopram for a few years. It was fairly effective but switched to Paxil for a few months and then switched to Effexor because Paxil made me very tired. I only took Effexor for three months and decided to withdraw from taking any medication. Almost immediately after I stopped taking anything I gained weight. I've never had a weight problem and it hasn't been a huge amount (5-7 lbs) but it was almost instantaneous AND I've been exercising more and eating less and it doesn't budge. It mostly when to my stomach. My question is if anyone else has had this issue after they have stopped taking the meds and if there was any improvement after a few months of being off of the medication (I've been off for about 1 1/2 months). ## Hello, Liz! I have documentation that I was on these meds before. I was on 30mg oxycodone 3x daily, 10mg hydrocodone 4x daily, 30mg adderall twice daily, and 2mg Xanax 4x daily. My doctor was just getting too expensive, does anyone know any doctor around the chicago area that is easy going when it comes to prescribing meds? Thanks so much I just don't want to see a doctor and just walk out with ibuprofen for example. Thanks ## Hello, Mike! How are you? There are no doctors that are easy going about prescribing such medications, anymore. New regulations were put in place last year, which they must abide by, or they risk losing their license to practice medicine. If you require these medications on a long-term ongoing basis for the treatment of chronic pain, you'll need to see specialists to ...

Two weeks ago my doctor increased my Zoloft dosage from 25 mg to 50 mg and I've had debilitating anxiety for since day three of the increase. The anxiety has lessened a little in the last day but I'm wondering if this is a side effect that's not going to go away. I'm quite scared. ## That can be a normal side effect, as reported by the FDA, you may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache, and weight changes. Side effects usually tend to be transient, as explained by the NIH, and they should go away, once your body gets used to the new dosage, but that may take 4 to 5 weeks. However, if its gets severe, or doesn't go away, you should consult your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hello me to i know how bad it gets, the meds changed me to much and ...

I am 53 & never taken any meds other than aspirin, except Percoset lately for headaches from an annyerism surgery. I realized it helped with my anxiety. Dr. wants to put me on Cymbalta instead. Should I stay on Percoset or switch to Cymbalta ? Which side effects are worse ? ## Sorry, but it sounds like you are addicted to percoset. Many anti-depressants can help with addiction, and Cymbalta has been approved to treat some types of pain, but I don't think you should start if its anxiety that you are reporting. The percoset is only dulling your senses at this point. I'm guessing that it's physically jittering to NOT take it. That is not the same as anxiety from a psychiatric disorder, which usually starts earlier in life. It's like say you were feverish, so you started...

Fellow viibryd folk, I am taking 40mg (been on it for approx 2 mo at this dose). In simply 24 hours I notice a need to take it or I begin to feel very anxious, and afraid.
