What is an antibiotics that start with the letter A ## Hi Patricia, Amoxicillin is the first antibiotic that comes to mind, starting with the letter A. But Ampicillin, Actinonin, Actinomycin, and Azithromycin are just a few other names that I'm aware of as well. Are you trying to recall something that you may have taken in the past for an infection? ## Yes I'm trying to remember what I took. It caused me to break out in a rash from head to toe. I want to make sure I add it to my allergy list.

I have sinusitis and my doc prescribed me an antibiotic that starts with the letter "O" but I don't know what it is. ## Was it possibly Orbifloxacin (Orbax)? The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash, headache, and diarrhea. Is there any information on the label?

It would be used to replace augmentin 1 mg, as I can not take augmentin, but I will need to take antibiotics after a small surgery.
