Please note that large bags of liquid would not be an antibiotic, that would be a separate small bag. I have been prescribed this (amox tr-k clv) for an outbreak of boils....I had the same outbreak 3 yrs ago and the doc said (without testing) that it could be MRSA. (My son actually did have MRSA at the same time this was going on). Will this stuff work if in fact it is MRSA? ## Hello, Scott! How are you? Usually, a combination of antibiotics is given for MRSA, a person is usually prescribed 2 of them. Did your doctor culture a boil? That's really the only way to find out if it's MRSA. I was recently treated for a yeast infection at the ER nd two weeks later I went for a follow up with my Dr , I was told I have a uti however I have bk symptoms. I was prescribed sulfameth/trimethoprim 800/160 , I'm on day 5 nd I've noticed a white milky discharge. Is this normal???? ## "NO SYMPTOMS" ## A white, milky discharge would be more indicative of a yeast infection. You may have had one to begin with, been treated for it and got rid of it, then you may have gotten another one from the antibiotic for the UTI, it's almost a vicious cycle. Have you consulted your doctor again, yet?

YOU TAKE IT FOR ONLY 5 DAYS. YOU START WITH TWO AND THEN TAKE THE REST ## ok ## nothing ## Were you possibly referring to a Z-Pak? It's an antibiotic that is available in a 5 day dosing pack, which contains the active ingredient Azithromycin. Since it is an antibiotic, it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. However, I am not aware of anything at this time that's called a V-Pack, nor have I found any record of there ever being one. I understand you are in pain, but all antibiotics can take a few days to begin beating the infection. The general rule is that if it is working, you should not see any worsening after taking it for a full 24 hours, and you should start to see improvement after taking it for a full 72 hours. If not, then you should return to your doctor. Taking more than prescribed will not change this. If so, then yes, it may alter the efficacy of it and thus, could result in breakthrough bleeding. Aches and pains are also normal side effects of it, as reported by the U.S. FDA, you may also experience nausea, headache and diarrhea.
