Yesterday I cut my self . my cut is 1 inch Long x 1/2 inch deep on tip of my hand. What antibiótico can I use. ## Hello, Oscar! How are you? I'm sorry about the cut. An antibiotic is really only needed, if it becomes infected. Taking one inappropriately could cause you to develop antibiotic resistant bacteria. Is it showing any signs of redness or swelling? Have you had it checked out by a medical professional? The FDA lists the typical side effects of antibiotics as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

Can antibiotic be of help and which type.... ## Hello, Lili! How are you? It really depends on what type of acne you have, some of it is bacterial and can be treated with antibiotics. The most commonly used one in the U.S. is Doxycycline, it's usually take in a very low dose, once daily for several months. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Your doctor should be able to help you determine what the proper solution for you would be. Sometimes, women get hormonal acne and that requires a different type of treatment. Can smz/tmp tab treat mouth sores ## Hi Linda, This question has an interesting response because Sulfamethoxazole + Trimethoprim can actually cause sores, ulcers, or white spots in the mouth or on the lips, as a rare but possible side effect. If these mouth sores that you're describing are related to an infection, I can confirm that this medication is also used for treatment of both tooth and gum infections; although it does not specify if mouth sores are included in this category of treatment. If I were in your shoes I would consider trying clove essential oil for any dental or mouth related infections or sores. There are also a good number of natural home remedies which you can find online, if these are identified as canker sores. Please post back with any additional information s...

Six days ago I had hip replacement surgery. I was given three bags of antibiotics by IV. How long does it remain in my body before being excreted? ## Hello, Joan! How are you? I hope you're doing well after your surgery and recovering. It depends on which antibiotic you received. Do you happen to know? Please note that large bags of liquid would not be an antibiotic, that would be a separate small bag. my two back molar teeth are hurting. No dental coverage have almost thirty pills of amox tr-k clv 825-125 mg will this help my tootache. Also took ibprofen still hurts. ## Hello, Bebe! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. This is an antibiotic, so it will only help if there is an infection present and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. And it will not negate the need to see a dentist, either. While it can remove an infection, it will not correct the underlying cause of an infection, so it will just keep recurring until the issue is corrected by your dentist. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been prescribed this (amox tr-k clv) for an outbreak of boils....I had the same outbreak 3 yrs ago and the doc said (without testing) that it could be MRSA. (My son actually did have MRSA at the same time this was going on). Will this stuff work if in fact it is MRSA? ## Hello, Scott! How are you? Usually, a combination of antibiotics is given for MRSA, a person is usually prescribed 2 of them. Did your doctor culture a boil? That's really the only way to find out if it's MRSA. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

I am having a mild fever with a cough and cold and running nose since 4 days. I've taken paracetamol & Leon but my fever is still not going away and neither is the cold. ## A cold is caused by a virus, so an antibiotic will not help with that. An antibiotic will only help with a bacterial infection. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. YOU TAKE IT FOR ONLY 5 DAYS. YOU START WITH TWO AND THEN TAKE THE REST ## ok ## nothing ## Were you possibly referring to a Z-Pak? It's an antibiotic that is available in a 5 day dosing pack, which contains the active ingredient Azithromycin. Since it is an antibiotic, it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. However, I am not aware of anything at this time that's called a V-Pack, nor have I found any record of there ever being one. There are more Z-Pak details available here for anyone needing more information.

How many times a day can i take ip272 i just started it today im in bad pain trying to get rid of it its an infection in my mouth ## You should take it as instructed by your doctor. I understand you are in pain, but all antibiotics can take a few days to begin beating the infection. The general rule is that if it is working, you should not see any worsening after taking it for a full 24 hours, and you should start to see improvement after taking it for a full 72 hours. If not, then you should return to your doctor. Taking more than prescribed will not change this. My doctor diagnosed me with diverticulitis after a ct scan. Why do I take amox-clav 875 and metronidazole simultaneously? Thank you! ## Sometimes multiple antibiotics are given, if the doctor isn't sure of the precise bacteria that is the culprit, by taking more than one, it covers more possibilities. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, stomach pain and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My side effects also included a super metallic taste and a somewhat distorted sense of smell. I took 3-day 500 mg Azithromycin for Acne rosacea. The total dose should be 3 day 500 mg and then skip 5 days and then take 3-day 500 mg until 4 weeks of period. but I have skin rash and itching. My doctor prescribed doxycyclin 150 mg per day. I thought Azithromycin was safer than Doxy and less sunsensitive. Should I continue Azithro or start taking Doxy and quit Azithro after three days. ## You should follow your doctor's instructions, if you are itching from the Azithromycin, that could be due to an allergic reaction and they tend to get worse, with repeated expose to the offending medication. They both carry the same risks. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can he...
