I have a baby. He is six years old. For the last 3 days/nights he has been suffering from a fever and cough. Please suggest me an antibiotic name that could help. ## Have you consulted his doctor? I've taken paracetamol & Leon but my fever is still not going away and neither is the cold. ## A cold is caused by a virus, so an antibiotic will not help with that. I've been having a sore throat for the past few days. The symptoms got worse every day. I started to sneeze, cough, and got a fever. I filled a prescription for some Penicillin called Ampicillina 500 mg per capsule from Mexico. I was instructed to take them every 8 hours, however, 3 pills a day seemed a bit much for me so I took one at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 23rd, and then another one 8 hours later. I've taken amoxicillin 875mg twice a day for 21 days. I started out with a bad sinus infection and ear infection. i was recently prescribed bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim) for an infected burn. on the second day, i woke up with a really sore throat. by night, i had a fever, and the next morning, i had a sinus infection--which i used to get chronically from about 11 years ago, up until 4 years ago, in which time ive only had one. a day later i had a productive cough, semi bad but nowhere near as bad as the bronchitus the sinus infections would, after months, eventually turn into. those infectionswere clearly bacterial as whenever I did end up taking antibiotics, they always ended within a few days. My three year old daughter was suffering from cough since the 20th of January along with high fever for nine days. The doctor said it was a viral fever and advised a paracetamol suspension + antibiotics (macberry-xt) as she had wheezing. I continued with two files of the same for long but when I stopped the medicine her coughing came back. Then doctor gave her medicine for allergies for fifteen days but now if I stop giving her any medicine she starts coughing again. It is March now. What is the remedy to all this? My husband had a large clot in his lung. He ran a fever the whole time, was on antibiotics, Was given clot busting meds. He still has a low grade fever, cough. About a week and a half ago I came down with a really bad sore throat. Swollen tonsils. White pus on them. Slight, low-grade fever. No coughing. No sinus issues. Some body/joint/muscle aches. Rapid strep (for Type A) came back negative. Mono test was negative. But I was given Z-Pak antibiotic for three days. That helped. Sore throat was almost gone. Then I got hit with a different kind of sore throat. Pain felt different. Then I started getting small "white head" type pimples on my neck and shoulders. I went back to the doctor.
