If the E2 is the start of the imprint and there is no space between them, then it looks like it could be a 100mg Doxycycline tablet. I have been put on this antibiotic for a suspected uti infection. Since taking it I have started to have a light period. This is unusual for me as I take cerezette and haven't had a bleed for years, can this happen? Anyone else had this? I'm worried that something more serious is going on and not a uti. ## Hello, Michelle! How are you? This antibiotic tends to reduce the effectiveness of oral contraceptives, so essentially, it nullifies them and induces a period, it is normal and the prescribing doctor should have warned you about it, because it also puts you at risk of candy. Thus, if you've not been warned otherwise by your pharmacy or on the medication labeling, others should be okay. Actually, it's very common for antibiotics to cause a longer cycle in some women that take them, so you may not start for a few more days, or until after you finish your course of treatment. If you don't start, at all, within a few days of finishing them, then you should consult your doctor. The FDA lists the other possible effects of antibiotics as typically including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.
