I have a UTI and was taking urovec with tetracycline for 1 day and the discomfort of the uti has not subsided at all! I want to switch over and start taking amoxicillin asap which has worked really well in the past. Are there any complications I should be aware of by starting the amoxicillin 4 hours after taking the urovec with tetracycline? ## No, you can usually just make a smooth transition from one to the other. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. However, it does take more than one day for an antibiotic to work. Usually, you shouldn't see any worsening after taking it for a full 24 hours and you should see improvement after taking it for a full 3 days. Is there anything else I can help wi... ...

I'm prescribed 25mg xR Adderall, and have been for about a year, year and a half. I absolutely love the stuff, nothing has ever worked for me the way this med does! I've been on anti-anxiety and anti-depressants, I've tried Wellbutrin and Ritalin. Nothing ever worked. But I feel like Adderall kick starts me, and puts me in some kind of "bubble" where I can be productive, stay motivated and focused and the energy! The energy is my favorite part. I don't feel like I'm dragging myself around anymore, I can keep moving without wandering off in my mind or being half asleep. It's great. BUT... as everybody knows it has it's "crash", headaches, nausea, tiredness or laziness, not being able to focus and hunger. I get all of that. Not always the headac... ...

I took 3-day 500 mg Azithromycin for Acne rosacea. The total dose should be 3 day 500 mg and then skip 5 days and then take 3-day 500 mg until 4 weeks of period. but I have skin rash and itching. My doctor prescribed doxycyclin 150 mg per day. I thought Azithromycin was safer than Doxy and less sunsensitive. Should I continue Azithro or start taking Doxy and quit Azithro after three days. ## You should follow your doctor's instructions, if you are itching from the Azithromycin, that could be due to an allergic reaction and they tend to get worse, with repeated expose to the offending medication. I have been put on this antibiotic for a suspected uti infection. Since taking it I have started to have a light period. This is unusual for me as I take cerezette and haven't had a bleed for years, can this happen? Anyone else had this? I'm worried that something more serious is going on and not a uti. ## Hello, Michelle! How are you? This antibiotic tends to reduce the effectiveness of oral contraceptives, so essentially, it nullifies them and induces a period, it is normal and the prescribing doctor should have warned you about it, because it also puts you at risk of candy. I got the itching about 3 days after taking the pills, then I forgot to take the pills for a day or so and started taking them again and the itching came back. ## A non-allergic skin rash can be a side effect of taking an antibiotic, as reported by the U.S. FDA. You also may not have enough to take a full course of treatment to kill the relevant bacteria. Thus, it would be best to dispose of them and see your doctor for a new supply. Actually, it's very common for antibiotics to cause a longer cycle in some women that take them, so you may not start for a few more days, or until after you finish your course of treatment. If you don't start, at all, within a few days of finishing them, then you should consult your doctor.
