Any information on Clonazepam? ## Years ago I was given a small (don't remember color) pill to put under my tongue to combat anxiety. It worked fast and completely. In minutes I was calm and my body reactions to anxiety were gone. What could that have been? I am now on Effexor ER and would like to get off as it is addicting. ## Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine that is most commonly used to treat anxiety, and panic disorders. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and mood changes. Ref: Clonazepam Information It is the one that was first available, years ago, in a sublingual tablet, like what you've described, however, is it the one that can be addictive, the Effexor you are currentl...

I've filled my xanax prescription overseas before and always received pex-2 which really work for me. Today I received warnax-1. Does anyone know anything about these? Are they even an anti anxiety pill? ## They are bad! I just got them a few weeks ago. ## Warnax-1? I was shipped this after ordering xanax. They seem to knock me out cold. Not just take the edge off a panic attack. Anyone else try these? If so, what were your experiences?

Is this a good idea? ## there is no bad interaction between the two that I know of But I had a very bad experence on geodon, if you get shakey and your blood preshuer raises tell your doc. right away!!!!! ## My doctor believes that Geodan can help treat bipolar disorder and axiety or panic attatacks. Getting off Risperdal. My dog died recently and I was better able to deal with the loss while on Geodon. ## Geodon is absolutely worthless for anxiety or panic disorder. Great for Bi-polar issues. What do you guys think? Because most of the top rated anxiety drugs are the ones with benzo, like xanax and vallium, but those are habit forming. ## Some of the antidepressants have been successfully used to treat anxiety and are much less habit forming. You may want to look into something like BuSpar: Or Paroxetine: Have you spoken to your doctor about alternatives, yet? ## Benadryl is an antianxiety or, if you want to try the herbal route valarian root works well for a lot of people. Or, if you are in a place where it's legal (??) marijuana is also really good for anxiety. Some prescription non Benzodiazepines (like Xanax and Vallium) that help with anxiety that I have taken are Trazodone, Neurontin, Tegratol and some antidepressants are also sometimes prescribed for anxiety. Has anyone taking fetzima had anxiety when adding amaryl 2 mg. ## Hello, Missy! How are you? The anxiety could be caused by the blood sugar change that Amaryl can cause. It is an oral antidiabetic medication and that can be one of the symptoms of low blood sugar. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, flatulence and stomach pain. Fetzima may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, vision changes, loss of libido and increased sweating. Have you consulted your doctor about the issue?

Hi I have started using nuzak after getting this panic feelings for no reason and I have lost my appetite, and I feel anxious all the time, how long does it take for nuzak to start to work and will it help my constant anxiety. ..? Please any help will be appreciated ## Hello, Richard! How are you? Fluoxetine is listed as being the active ingredient in Nuzak, it is an SSRI antidepressant and yes, it does help some people with anxiety. However, the only way to see if it will help you is by trying it. It can take about 4 to 5 weeks to reach its full level of effectiveness in your body to see if it works for you. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with?

I cry a lot and I have a lot of issues in my family that cannot be overcome (Health). I need something that makes me not so emotional and DOESNT make me gain weight. I just need something to make me calm down easier. Don't suggest Cymbalta, welbutrin or Lexapro- I've tried all of those and although they worked, Lexapro was the best- I gained too much weight! Thanks! ## Hello, Terryvasil! How are you doing? Have you tried Prozac/Fluoxetine, yet? It isn't know to cause the same weight gain that the others do, as a matter of fact, if someone is carrying a few extra pounds, it's actually been known to cause them some weight loss. Learn more Prozac details here. It's also an SSRI antidepressant that can help with anxiety and other mood issues. Other side effects it can ca...

## PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THIS DRUG IS MOST COMINLY USED FOR ## See quoted text below: Atarax is an antihistamine used to relieve the symptoms of common anxiety and tension and, in combination with other medications, to treat anxiety that results from physical illness. It also relieves itching from allergic reactions and can be used as a sedative before and after general anesthesia. Antihistamines work by decreasing the effects of histamine, a chemical the body releases that narrows air passages in the lungs and contributes to inflammation. Antihistamines reduce itching and swelling and dry up secretions from the nose, eyes, and throat. ## my daughter has recently put on 25mg of atarax she isonly 11yrs old and was 10 at the time it was perscribed to her. she had been having panic attacks, ...

Not too sure about Brintellix yet. Very low dose (5mg) once a day for 4 days now. One positive: more alert, and depression doesn't feel as 'depressing'. Minor nausea, headache, sleep disruptive, some racing thoughts at night. Most disappointing - a persistent low level anxiety seems present and I'm on it primarily for GAD. This med seems much less compatible for me than Klonopin prn. Was hoping for better results but will stay on Brintellix 4-5 days more to see if symptoms abate. ## How are you doing today with the Brintellix? ## @Sailorcat, From what I understand, antidepressants like Brintellix can take several days or weeks to start working as indicated. However if side effects become too unbearable, I would still suggest discussing other options with your doctor. Als...

Thx. ## Hello, Ochomow! How are you? Have you ever tried just an anxiolytic, like Buspirone, if it's available there? It may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, somnolence and nervousness. It's something you may want to talk to your doctor about. It may be what you need if taken with an antidepressant. ## Hope things have gotten better since you posted this. I had a burning skin sensation that turned into a sore throat. I was prescribed the 4mg pack and antibiotic. After day 1 I had excess energy bordering on anxiety and insomnia. I suffer from anxiety and take Lexapro. I called the hospital center where I got the med and the doctor said the symptoms should lessen each day and if they got worse that it would be ok since this is a fairly low dose. Now I am confused as I hear horrible things about stopping. ## How are you doing? Did you quit the pack early? I am surprised that the Dr prescribed this to you, since one of the side effects is anxiety. I went to the ER, on my fifth day, with a severe anxiety attack, and I have no history with anxiety. I stopped taking them with two pills left. I am now two weeks past my last dose, and I am still ...

Being a pain patient for 20+ years, and having panic attacks daily have given me the knowledge of every medication and how they work or do not work. ## Hi Aeon, How's it going? Just wanted to say thanks for taking the time out to help others with your extensive background as pain/anxiety patient. I realize there are a lot of other people on here who just want to help, but can't always understand what these patients really go through enough to offer the right kind of advice - that ideally a doctor should be giving.... How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. What antidepressant have they given you? Many of them are effective at treating anxiety and are the preferred treatment choice, because it helps keep it under control all the time, unlike many of the other medications that are only taken as needed. ## you need Prazosin my dear... will take away your nightmares. antidepressants are garbage i think. the blood pressure medication works very good for night mares

I was just prescribed Rameron 30mg to take at bedtime to help with me sleep. I am also taking Adderall 30mg, Ativan 0.5mg and Celexa 20mg on a daily basis. I have epilepsy and my partial seizures plague me through the night and cause anxiety after every episode. I tried taking xanax, but it seemed to compound the problem. Is anxiety a possible side effect of this anti-anxiety drug? could it be that I just need to get accustomed to it? ## It's actually very well known in the medical community that most medications can cause the opposite of their intended effect in some people that take them. It isn't known why they do so, but in some people antidepressants cause depression and suicidal thoughts, medications to lower blood pressure may raise it, anti-anxiety medications can cause anxiety and etc. This means that it's most likely just not the right medication for you to take and you may need to try a different one. I have been taking citalopram for a few years. It was fairly effective but switched to Paxil for a few months and then switched to Effexor because Paxil made me very tired. I only took Effexor for three months and decided to withdraw from taking any medication. Almost immediately after I stopped taking anything I gained weight. I've never had a weight problem and it hasn't been a huge amount (5-7 lbs) but it was almost instantaneous AND I've been exercising more and eating less and it doesn't budge. It mostly when to my stomach.
