I've only taken Cymbalta twice. The first time I cussed out a guy at an online forum. The second time I woke up the next morning mad as hell. If I'm getting this from only taking this stuff a few times then I'm not taking anymore. ## Hi, Buddy! Sorry about the issues you've had. Yes, while the monographs usually only list the black box warning about the possibility of suffering suicidal thoughts, these types of medications are actually known to have the opposite of their intended effect in a number of ways, in some people that take them. I've had it happen myself, with a couple medications that I tried to relieve some temporary anxiety I was having last year. However, it doesn't mean that all of them will cause you the same problem, so you should talk to your doc...

Unexpected amount of Rage. I wanted to hurt someone very badly. I have never experienced Rage like this before, and I have struggled with Depression and PTSD for over 30 years. Nothing else in my life has changed except being changed to Viibryd. Nothing related to my PTSD triggered the rage. It came suddenly, unexpectedly and today (the next day), I'm exhausted and sore. I'm assuming from all the adrenaline that was running throughout my body. ## I've been taking Viibryd 40 mg for 7 weeks. I got through the loose stools side effect stage. It finally started working a little, except for the RAGE. It's really scary. I'm stopping starting tomorrow and going back to a regular SSRI like Lexapro. ## I find it really interesting how a medication that's being marketed fo...

Does buspars make anyone else angry? ## Hello, Billy! How are you? How long have you been taking it? Sometimes, these anxiolytics can cause symptoms like that for the first few weeks that you are taking them, while your body is adjusting. After 3 to 4 weeks, your body usually adjusts and it starts having its intended effect. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may include nausea, dizziness, headache and feeling nervous/excited. However, if you've been taking it for over a month and are still experiencing this, then it may not be the right medication for you and you should speak to your doctor about trying something else.

Trying this because sub strips caused tongue sores and suboxone, so much saliva tha I might not have been getting its full effect. I am my dr.s first patient on it so Im kind of his guinie pig. Again, the all of a sudden anger is really bothering me.. thanks ## Hello, Ellen! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems you've been having. Are you on an equivalent dose? That could be a symptom of withdrawal. Have you experienced any other symptoms? The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## MORR...

It caused me to not sleep and become irrationnally angry. Helped my mood up though. I am not that angry of a person naturally so it was a schocker. ## Hello, Nickoly! How are you? Change in personality like that is actually fairly common with anticonvulsants, it happened to my fiancé with the first one he tried a couple years ago. It usually means you can no longer take that one and need to switch to a different one. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and weight gain. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Verwon I am doing better I got off Lamictal 3 months ago. Taking Latuda and intially had a great response on the Latuda. Much more energy better mood. Now I have been having trouble sleeping only 3 hours at a time. I am...

I take Lyrica 50mg 3 times a day. I can fly off the handle and have a short fuse and I'm beginning to think it's the Lyrica. ## Hello, Dan! How are you? I am very sorry about the problem you're experiencing. Yes, this class of medications has been known to cause mood swings, as a side effect, in some people that take it, according to FDA reports, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, and weight gain. Have you informed your physician? You may need to try a lower dosage, or to try a different medication. Though, I must caution you against stopping it abruptly, since that could create the risk of seizures. ## Yep, just happened to me and I got on-line to see if it was possible to have a anger side affect. I took it an hour ago and have had 3 anger outburst over nothing. This ...

I had previously worked as a police officer for just short of 3 decades, and the last 15 years of that was as an undercover narcotics investigator. I had not slept more than 4 hours in the last 20 years . I absolutely knew something was very wrong with my body, constantly exhausted, very negative attitude, and i had bad aches and pains, its just goes on and on. I retired and decided to sit down with a doctor and "lay it all out on the line, then let the chips fall where they may, no lies, nothing held back" I soon discovered something called a 96 hour commitment order, which i narrowly escaped by having to lie to keep from a locked down mental evaluation. my problems are manifested from 10 years of assisting in many dead body removals while assisting ems, picking up body parts fr...

I was on 50mg Pristiq and didn't realise I was having anger issues on days I forgot to take it. I was only on it due to injuries stopping me from working and suffering from pain and financial issues. It broke up my relationship. After the break up I went up to 100mg. After some months I started to space out/blackout in the afternoon on days I forgot to take it. I always took it at 7am. Well my partner and I had gotten back together and it happened a couple of times in the 4 or 5 weeks we were back together. The 3rd time was the only time I had alcohol the day I'd forgotten to take the Pristiq and I had a violent episode. My life is in ruin and no one is listening. They think I was just drunk. Violence was not normal behaviour for me but drinking half a bottle of bourbon was. I o...

My boyfriend was just recently put on risperdal about 4 days ago.. they said it would help him with his anger problems..will this medication help him or does he need to quit using it and be switched to another one.?? ## Risperdal is an excellent drug for anger management, however, the benefits will not become apparent for several weeks. Psychotherapy always helps. ## Risperdal contains the active ingredient Risperidone, it is used to treat various mental health issues, and for its sedative like properties, so yes, it may help him a lot, with his anger issues. Ref: Risperdal Information The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, drowsiness, somnolence, and weight changes. Is he on any other medications? What dosage did they put him on?

drug being given my husband to control anger in dementia ## i have discovered a friend of mine is prescribed deficote as well as prozac should i be worried? ## Are you referring to Depakote? The name is very frequently misunderstood. It is most commonly used to prevent seizures and to treat bipolar disorder. The FDA warns that its side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, weight changes, and mood changes. Isabel, as to them combining the medications, it should be okay, if his doctor has prescribed them both and decided they are safe for him. Have they experienced any odd side effects, or reactions?

have there been any feedback about anger issues. I am a 65 yr.old male with acute pain from arthritas. The Reumofan has greatly reduced. But, i seem to be more angry than i've ever been. A very short fuse and my behavior is worrying me. ## This U.S. FDA actually found this to contain several undeclared drug ingredients, Diclofenac a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and Methocarbamol, which is a muscle relaxant. Learn more Diclofenac details here. Learn more Methocarbamol details here. Thus, you should check with your doctor. It's difficult to say what might be causing the irritability issues. Has anyone taken Trileptal (for anger) and Paxil (for anxiety) together? Did it help? My son has taken Trileptal which has helped the anger but the anxiety is no better. ## They can be taken together, if his doctor approves and is monitoring him regularly, but the FDA does warn that it may intensify some of the side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, headache, mood changes, and weight changes. Is he on any other medications? What conditions has he been diagnosed with?

Has anyone ever experienced anger/rage while taking Remeron? I recently tapered off Cymbalta slowly while introducing Remeron. I’m having extreme bouts of rage with no regard to anything, very far from the person I normally am. I don’t know if this is being caused by Cymbalta withdrawal or the Remeron. By the way - the week where I was on 15 Remeron and 15 cymbalta I was very energetic and positive, hyper productive. Obviously something is not right here. Could it be that this is just what I’m like without Cymbalta? Am I rapid cycling? I’ve never been officially diagnosed with bipolar 2 (mainly mdd and anxiety) but I’ve taken lamictal and cymbalta for 10 years after two suicide attempts. I’ve tried other drugs before that as well. Right now I am only ...

Terrible stuff, disturbing dreams, anger bursts, crying bouts, blood vessels in eye burst first day or so. I am 74, female. This is awful- Unpredictible anxiety, feelings of doom, insomnia. Have weaned myself from 40 mg to 5-10 mg. daily-must continue on that, I feel, to eventually have no side effects that upset my entire well being. NOTHING is worth feeling like this. God help me. ## Hi, Judy! Wow, that's terrible! I am so sorry you've been so miserable due to this medication. However, I can assure you that you aren't the only person this has happened to, these medications are known to backfire in some people that take them, regardless of age and there have been other posts about it. Have you consulted your doctor? They may be able to help you wean yourself off of this las...

I was just prescribed bystolic 5mg for anxiety/anger issues. Just wondering if I should expect good or bad results ## Bystolic contains the active ingredient Nebivolol, which is a beta blocker that's most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure. Learn more Bystolic details here. However, I have found nothing about it treating anxiety and anger issues, actually in men, it can make them worse, because it tends to increase the level of testosterone in the body.
