SMALL WHITE TABLETS ## My mother has been on Atenolol for her blood pressure for years and now the pharmacist told he is out of Atenolol and gave her Sandoz as a replacement. Is this medication the same as Atenolol? ## Well Sandoz is the drug company name, not the medication name, so I cannot tell you if this is the same stuff or not, unless you provide the imprint on the pill, or the medicine name. ## Hi. I have been taking atenolol 25 mg for possibly 10 years or more and never had a problem with sandoz. All of a sudden they are having a hard time getting atenolol so now I'm getting them from zydus supplier and the pill is much bigger. I took it and got very dizzy/sick to my stomach with diarrhea. The pharmacist says nothing is wrong with it but I am very concerned about my symptom...

For some reason I can only take the 25mg Atenonol from Sandoz, I take it to diminish heart palpitations from MVP, the pharmacy changed the manufacturer to Ateva one time And I began to have palpitations again. So now that Sandoz is on backorder and I cannot get it filled I am going to try Zydus. Can anyone in the pharmaceutical field tell me if it’s the same as Sandoz? Thank you ## Hi Worry17, The only difference between Zydus, Sandoz and other manufacturers is within the list of inactive ingredients, also known as binders/fillers that help make up the pill's composition. In many cases, the quality and quantity of these "so-called inert" substances are subject to an unknown level of scrutiny by the FDA. We don't know how much oversight is involved to monitor where ...

Can enantyum and loratadina be take together ## Hello, Phil! How are you? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed, but it would be best to double check with your doctor or pharmacist, because the direct ingredient of Emantyum is not available here in the U.S., so I could only check similar medications in that class. The FDA lists the typical side effects as including dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and stomach irritation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have been taking Chlorthalidone 25mg since June 2012. Prior to starting this medicine I noticed that I bruise very easily. I constantly have numerous bruises, ranging in size from large (baseball size) to very small on my arms, legs and chest. On average there are 10 bruises at any given time. Has anyone had bruising as a side effect from Chlorthalidone? My family is concerned that it's not the medicine (since this started prior to the medicine) and is something more serious. Am making a Dr. appointment tomorrow but would love to know if anyone else has experienced this. ## If it started prior to your taking the Chlorthalidone, then it can't be just due to a side effect of the medication. However, there is a chance that the medication may be worsening whatever issue is causing...

I'm prescribed Myrbetriq 1x daily at noon + Torisamide 2x weekly, when needed for water retention. When I use the Torisamide, I lose the effects at night of the Myrbetriq due to less sleep (getting up every two hours to use the bathroom). This goes on for at least three days or more. Can anything be done? It's defeating the purpose of the procedure "urlift". ## Well, the Torsemide is used to help remove excess fluid from the body, so yes, it is normal that it will make your urinate more, that is just one of its normal side effects, along with nausea, dizziness, headache, dehydration, and hypotension. Generally, it is not advised to take it with a medication like Myrbetriq, since you already have frequent urination issues. How often do you experience fluid retention that ...

I've been prescribed a 2 week course for the treatment of migraines which consists of 25mg. It will then will be increased to 50 mg if found effective. So now I just started the 25mg course and find an issue that I am constantly hungry and wanting to eaet (which is strange since I thought a side effect would be loss of appetite), and I have a constant light migraine on one side. (Luckily not a severe one which incapacitates me for a few days at a time). And I am also feeling moody (like PMS symptoms), although it isn't that time of the month plus my skin is breaking out pretty badly. Could the Toplep be causing this reaction? ## Have you consulted your doctor? The symptoms you've reported aren't listed as common side effects, and as you noted yourself, loss of appetite i...

Alcohol with epitec: I take 25mg Epitec twice daily. Can I consume a glass of wine on special occasions although I am taking Epitec? ## Drinking alcohol while taking Epitec is not recommended. This medication is reported to contain the active ingredient Lamotrigine, which acts as a central nervous system depressant (as does alcohol). If you really did want a glass of wine then it is highly recommended that you check with your prescribing physician first since they are familiar with your full medical history. While it may be okay to drink a single glass of wine (moderation), it is best not to take a chance without knowing if you are specifically at risk for an interaction. I take three 10mg physeptone daily for chronic pain caused by lupus and fibromyalgia. Recently developed a virus which caused painful inflammation when dry coughing and extra pain throughout my body. I also did not realize I had a temp above 38c. My doctor prescribed 25mg prednisone for a week. Just in two days of taking prednisone I haven’t needed to take physeptone (I can’t take morphine based drugs). Prednisone has worked like a miracle in reducing pain. I realise lupus is an autoimmune disease and prednisone an immunosupressant. I’ve always balked against taking steroid based drugs because of the side effects but I can’t believe how well it works. Perhaps I should be taking prednisone as physeptone doesn’t kill the pain totally. ## Ultimately, you can r...

I've been prescribed Azor 0,25 as a calming tablet labelled one a day. I'm breastfeeding a 10 month old boy. I am anxious all most all the time, not sleeping well so last week my Dr prescribed me melotonin 6mg for night and thiamine for in the morning because of panic attacks. My memory is foggy, I have very little energy and might be depressed. Will this Azor / combination of things help and is it ok while breastfeeding ? It's 0,25g a white pill. Can it be split? ## It can be cut, but taking it while breastfeeding may cause sedation for your baby, according to U.S. FDA reports. They also warn that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you ...

Is hydrochlorothiazide 25mg / triamterene 37.5mg tabs by Sandoz, greenish blue? ## Drug manufacturers can change the color or shape of any pill over a period of time without prior notice, so this is definitely something that you cannot asses unless you have the pill in your possession. Alternatively, if you can provide me the imprints and shape of the pill, I can look it up for you in a drug database and get back to you with any of these details. ## My mother has been on Triamterene/HCTZ 37.5/25 capsules for many years.
