uses and side effects of Adova tablet ## Based on my research, Adova tab contains the active ingredient Anastrozole; which belongs to the class of nonsteroidal aromatase inhibitors. Anastrozole is sometimes prescribed for infertility, but is often used with other treatments, such as surgery or radiation, to treat early breast cancer in women who have experienced menopause. It works by decreasing the amount of estrogen the body makes. This, in turn, can slow or stop the growth of many types of breast cancer cells that need estrogen to grow. Side effects may include: weakness headache hot flashes sweating stomach pain nausea vomiting loss of appetite constipation diarrhea heartburn weight gain joint, bone, or muscle pain breast pain mood changes depression difficulty falling asleep or sta...

Is it ok for me to take this pill. I take the drug anastrozole, the generic form of arimidex? ## Hello, Carol! How are you? With a complicated medical history, it would be best for you to check with your doctor, before taking any medication, even something that's available over the counter. Medications that are used to treat cancer can be very, very touchy and react with many other drugs and substances, so it would be best to be as safe as possible about it. Is there anything else I can help with?

high estrogen ## Hello, Are you referring to Armidex? If so, my research tells me that Arimidex (the brand name for the main ingredient Anastrozole) is an aromatase inhibitor that helps prevent the production of estrogen, a hormone that fuels many breast cancer tumors. Aromatase inhibitors can block the enzyme aromatase, a substance that helps your body tissues produce estrogen. Arimidex is considered a hormonal treatment, and can help prevent recurrence (return) of breast cancer. Possible side effects (patients with early stage breast cancer have reported these symptoms): -hot flashes -joint pain -weakness -mood swings -sore throat -nausea and vomiting -depression -high blood pressure -osteoporosis (bone thinning) -swelling of arms and/or legs -headache You can learn more about this dr...

the pill is a small round white tablet with dx marked on one side and nothing on the other side this pill is about 1cm across ## Hi mike, The closest match I've been able to find is Arimidex (1 mg)- which contains the main ingredient anastrozole; it's a small, white, and round pill with the imprint Adx on the front and an A with an arrow pointing downwards (which is part of the A) on the back. It's kind of a hard imprint to describe... also, the imprints don't seem to have been stamped into the pill very deeply so maybe some of them got rubbed/smudged off at some point? Manufacturer: AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals National Drug Code (NDC): 00310-0201 Anastrozole (marketed under the trade name Arimidex by AstraZeneca) is an aromatase-inhibiting drug approved for treatment of...

The pills are smaller than an aspirin, light to medium blue, has a crease on one side and GP on the other. Any ideas on what this could be? ## Rumor has it in other related threads that this blue triangular pill imprinted with GP on one side is an anti-estrogen steroid by the name of Arimidex (Anastrozole). The manufacturer is known as Geneza Pharmaceuticals (hence the 'GP'). Oddly enough for a steroid, Anastrozole is also touted for use in treating certain types of breast cancer. While my finding is speculative, I haven't come across any other specific details hinting at another possibility outside of Arimidex... Viagra has the same shape and color, but no GP marking, at least to my knowledge. Hope this helps! ## Yes you are absolutely correct. I buy and use them personally...

The pill is round, white with an "M" on one side and 034 on the other. Is this Metformin and who is the manufacturer? Thank you. ## The closest match I'm finding to your description, is a white round pill marked with "M" on one side and "34" on the other; minus the "0". It's identified as Anastrozole 1 mg. Manufacturer: Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. National Drug Code (NDC): 00378-6034 Anastrozole is used to treat breast cancer after surgery and for metastases in both pre and post-menopausal women. Anastrozole is an aromatase inhibitor, which means that it interrupts a critical step in the body's synthesis of estrogen. Some breast cancer cells require estrogen to grow, and eliminating estrogen suppresses their growth. Does this sound like a possi...

What is a round white pill with a capital M on one side and 34 on the other?? My pharmacy accidentally put one of these in with my Ambien pills. I'm lucky I even noticed it b/c it is the same size and shape as my generic Ambien! ## It's a good thing you noticed this pill in there, since it has no relation to Ambien whatsoever. I have been taking Exemestane for 2-1/2 months. My hands are numb and also tingling. The pain with the tingling is so bad. It lasts about two minutes and then just feels numb. Also have hip/lower back pain. Called my doc about the hands and she said go off Exemestne for two weeks and see if it goes away. She thinks I have carpal tunnel. I was on Tamoxifan for one year but changed due to horrible leg cramps. Then put on Anastrozole and stopped after two weeks due to body rash. Now I truly believe I am having reaction to Exemestane. ## Hello, Cc! How are you? I'm very sorry about your health problem and the issues you've been having with the medications.
