I need to know what opioid analgesics and benzodiazepines are prescribed in india as I am on 120mg OxyNorm, 8mg clonazepam, 6mg Xanax per day and 24 to 36mg bromazepam as required ## Desperately seeking help / advice for dealing with severe chronic pain. ## Zaborav, for countries other than the U.S. and Canada, it is really hard to find a comprehensive list of their approved medications, because they generally don't regulate them as strictly. However, I can tell you that they do have equivalents, from what I have seen for most of the medications you are taking. You'll just have to discuss with a doctor or pharmacist there to see if they have the same ones or if you have to switch to something different, but in the same class. I would like to know which drug is similar to tramadol but can be taken with lexapro? ## Unfortunately, from what I am finding, all of the centrally acting analgesics in that class can cause problems with Serotonin Syndrome, if they are taken with the Lexapro. The same warnings come up for the other options, such as Tapentadol: Has your doctor recommended anything? ## As usual Verwon has been to the reference library. It is true that really only the relatively new to market tapentadol HCl, branded Palexia, Tapal, and in USA Nucynta, is similar in that it is both a mild opioid and SNRI. Tramadol is the stronger drug mg for mg, but is not much more potent than the true opioid dihydrocodeine tartrate. Both of the atypical drugs with SNRI action are partial mu-antagonists. Onset of action a...

I have been told by an Rph that analgesics should not be taken with blood thinners. Is this true? ## It really depends on the type of analgesic, some of them, such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories can cause blood thinning, so taking it with other substances that call blood thinning could put you in danger of severe bleeding, according to FDA warnings. Other side effects may including nausea, dizziness, headache, and stomach irritation. You should also be aware that Arnica hasn't been approved, or proven to treat any medical condition. It has also not been studied against other medications, so there are no guarantees that it is safe to take, or that it won't cause problematic interactions. What blood thinner are you taking? If you can clarify, I might be able to find more spec...

I have some really bad sciatic pain from my left knee down to and including my ankle. Last night as I was tossing and turning in bed my leg moved and I heard/felt a popping noise followed by extreme pain not like the sciatica. It felt like my shin bone had broken but it is not painful to touch so must not be broken. Should I take percocet or Lyrica for this new pain? I have the percocet left over from the knee scope on left knee which did not have sciatic pain prior to the scope. The knee meniscus is now bone on bone. I will have to wait another 2/3 weeks for an appointment with a neurosurgeon to see about taking care of the sciatica with a back surgery to take care of disc which has degenerated and is causing the pain in left leg. Please advise! ## Hello, Fairhope! How are you? I'm...

An analgesic drug, also called simply an analgesic, pain reliever, or painkiller, is any member of the group of drugs used for pain management. Analgesics are conceptually distinct from anesthetics, which temporarily reduce, and in some instances eliminate, sensation, although analgesia and anesthesia are neurophysiologically overlapping and thus various drugs have both analgesic and anesthetic effects. Analgesic choice is also determined by the type of pain: For neuropathic pain, recent rese...

analgesic ## This medication is unavailable in the U.S. and I am sorry to say that other countries do not regulate their prescription drugs as strictly as the FDA does. That said, finding information on them is very difficult, since there are no databases which list them all, like there are for U.S. prescription drugs. The only thing I can suggest is that you try asking your doctor or pharmacist for more information. ## its cool ## very good

analgesic ## Want to check on side effects. Just taking for tooth pain. ## what are the side effects for Forte Dorixina? I would like to know long term and short term, please. I tried this and Im ready to throw all my pain meds out the door and pay the 2.60 a pill . ## The Dorixina Forte from Mexico is listed as containing the active ingredient Clonixin, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that also has antipyretic properties. This isn't approved and used in the U.S. and Canada, so unfortunately, I don't have a link to put in here and add more information for you. As a NSAID, the side effects will likely be similar to others in this class, such as headache, nausea, dizziness and stomach irritation. But I also don't know if there are any unusual ones, or what the safety...
