Hi I am wondering if Methoxyflurane can be used alongside nitrous oxide simultaneously. The nitrous oxide alone often is not as effective in achieving therapeutic dosage with adults and I wondered how the two may work. What clinical ill effects would be seen if a combination as such was actually used. Thanking you, Anand ## I do not know the answer to your question, however, if you are using Nitrous Oxide, even just once, you should be aware of the possibility of Nitrous Oxide Side Effects, particularly in that they reduce Vitamin B12 levels, which can lead to severe and even deadly problems. Preventing these side effects is as easy as supplementing with Vitamin B12 before and after procedures that use nitrous oxide- something that dentists never choose to do.

If there are no markings, how do you know that's what it is? I don't know of any drug under that name. Where is it from? ## You are right there are no marking on the pills, but there is one on the packing. It says "Diclofenac sodico 25mg" & "Acetaminophen 500mg". Ana-Dent is a product of Mexico ## Is "ana dent" good for severe tooth pains, at least until i am able to go see the dentist? Does it have any serious side effects that i need to know about? Should i take it with food or anything? ## Is this Ana Dent pill good for severe pain/toothaches? It's a round pill with no markings on it but consists ...

Dentipatch Lidocaine

Lidocaine, also known as lignocaine and sold under the brand name Xylocaine among others, is a local anesthetic of the amino amide type. It is also used to treat ventricular tachycardia.[7][8] When used for local anaesthesia or in nerve blocks, lidocaine typically begins working within several minutes and lasts for half an hour to three hours.[8][9] Lidocaine mixtures may also be applied directly to the skin or mucous membranes t...

Can I use cefadroxil in treatment of dental infection post dental procedure? ## Cefadroxil is commonly used as an antibiotic to prevent infection 'before' dental procedures. I'm not certain however about it's use 'post' dental procedure. You may want to confirm that with your doctor if you feel concerned. There's also the option of Amoxicillin, but I personally suggest looking into Clove Essential Oil. It's a natural remedy for dental issues as far as alleviating tooth aches (anaesthetic properties) and fighting infections (antibacterial, antimicrobial, antifungal properties). Definitely worth looking into if you're on a budget and need something effective. Hope this helps!

what antibiotics are mainly used for wisdom teeth infections ## I'm not too fond of prescription drugs, but I think Cephalexin is one of common interest. It is an antibiotic used to treat various types of infections. To view information about this drug please click on the link below... Although I personally suggest looking into Clove Essential Oil. It's a natural remedy for dental issues as far as alleviating tooth aches (anaesthetic properties) and fighting infections (antibacterial, antimicrobial, antifungal properties). Just make sure you don't use a lot of it at once (no more than a 2-4 drops in the desired area, as it is very concentrated and may be toxic in large doses. This generally is not something to worry about as you won't need more than the minimum amount to...

My dentist prescribed me 5 vicodin pills for a procedure. I went to the pharmacy to fill them and followed their directions. Ended up taking only 3 out of the 5 and they kept rest (which I found weird) that I had to pay for. Anyone know why? ## Hello, Jd05! How are you? Unless you're under a pain management contract that requires a pill count, then you don't have to take pills with you, so they may have thought you were turning them in to be disposed of, which is usually why people do that. Did you ask them about it? The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## It was vallum they took, my mistake. I did ask and they sa...

Hi I wonder if anyone can help. I'm newly on methadone and have not been to a dentist in years :( Anyway, turns out I need to get 2 fillings. What happens when the patient is on methadone? Will the anaesthetic still work as normal to prevent pain? What about pain afterwards? Or if it turned out I needed more treatment? What can someone on methadone be given for pain relief for what I imagine would be 4-7 days worth?

Is Articaine and Epinephrine used in local anaesthesia, vegetarian? I am a Jain and don't use anything made from animal origin. ## Since I know epic was synthesized in a laboratory, from natural substances and some chemical intervention, I wouldn't say it was vegan or vegetarian. See how you think if you ever need a valve replacement! Or a hip replacement! Or facial reconstructive surgery. Did it ever occur to you that God created those of upswept the potential to be healers and researchers? And that He might lead us to wards medsand treatments that are not fully "non-animal" in origin.. There would be TENS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE DEAD if we applied your logic to the first ensigns!

Today took 2 7.5 mg meloxicam by mistake for arthritic neck, at lunchtime. 3rd day. I am also taking 1 Panamax every 4 hours as I'm waiting to see a dentist for an aching tooth. Is this safe? ## Hello, Susan! How are you? That isn't necessarily a dangerous dose, but it does increase the risk of side effects, which the U.S. FDA lists as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, bleeding and stomach irritation. However, you should inform your doctor as higher doses also increase the risk of liver damage. Panamax is classified as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. They can be taken together, as long as your doctor or dentist approve, though that may al...

i went to the hospital with extreme tooth ache , the inside of my mouth is swollen and the glands in my neck are swollen , the doctor didn't explain anything he just wrote a prescription for moxymax 500 and anaerobyl 400 . Why would he prescribe that and is it going to help ? ## Hello, Lila! How are you? Those symptoms are commonly caused by bacterial infections and these medications are antibiotics that are used to eradicate them. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. However, you will still need to see a dentist to correct the problem with the tooth that caused the infection. My GP gives me 2 scripts for 120 7.5/300 Norco every 4 months. I fill them within the 28-30 day rules. My dentist gave me a small 20 pill script for 5/250 xodol (which I have never heard of). Can I fill this script or is it illegal? ## I am very sorry that you're in pain. No, it would not be advisable to have them both filled. The government dose keep track. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Can I have a tooth extracted if I'm using subutex? Will the local anaesthetic still work okay? Regards, Dave ## It should, since there is nothing in Subutex to neutralize it. The anesthetic used by dentists is not a narcotic and the Subutex doesn't contain Naloxone, anyway. However, I'd suggest making sure the dentist knows you're taking it, just to be on the safe side. Learn more Subutex details here. Having had 2 teeth pulled, while I had an active infection so the anesthetic didn't work, I can assure you that's something you don't want to experience. Can you post back and let me know how it goes? ## I am having 2 teeth extracted by being put to sleep and I currently take subutex I am concerned about being out under while on this medicine has anyone experie...
