I just started immediate release amphetamine salts (Actavis, half-moon, #26) on tablet. 20 mg (3X daily). Reaction (allergy) unsure? Gastric bypass patients NEED IR. Is Zenzedi immediate release? I have a morphine infusion pump that releases 21.474 mg daily continuous flow plus I can give myself a bolus of 1.50 mg up to 10 x a day making my daily level release of morphine 35.886/day continuous flow. I am so tired all the time. My doctor prescribed D-amphetamine salts XR 25 mg - 2 x/day but because (i've been taking this for a few years at slowly increased doses to get where I am now) they were a generic and did not work I asked him and my insurance company approved the change, he put me on 20 MG IR 2x/day brand name by Teva. I thought being the name brand Adderall (Teva) that even though a lower dose would work better. I could not have been more mistaken and now I am suffering trying to wake up at all. Hi: I've been prescribed Adderall 20mg IR (generic amphetamine salts, 2x daily) and I found I was just dripping sweat in any type of heat or even at 40 deg after some exertion. My doctor switched me to dextroamphetamine (again, generic, 10 mg, 2x daily), and there is no improvement. The new drug is not as effective as the Adderall. My doctor is not that familiar with this class of drugs, but my pharmacist specialized in mental health drugs and suggested that an ER or XR version might work better. I've also read that some people do better on certain types of generics or the name brands.
