I have been on 20 mg amphetamine salts 4 x a day for over 3 yrs. I think I need my dose increased to 30 mg 4 x day . I've been wanting to discuss this with my doctor for a while now but something else is always wrong and I've been forgetting everything again if I don't write it down!! I think I've been on the same dose too long. Doesn't it need to be increased every so often pertaining to your symptoms getting worse?? ## I can't take extended release adderall.. my dr rx amphetamine salts combo 30 mg bid. I usually use another brand but i was given actavis and its making me sleepy and not sure if its the brand or im ill or not working as should. I just got a refill of 30mg tabs amphetamine salts. This month I have been switched again! I can't find any information on this particular brand - it's imprint is M A30, it's orange and round. The pharm company is Mylan I think. I have had the orange ovals (most effective and metabolized for me), the round pink (made my stomach upset), and now these. I have a written orescription from my Dr specifically saying "Sandoz brand only." Yeah well noone has any. Ive called and gone to every pharmacy around and noone carries it. The one you take just contains Dextroamphetamine, it's a generic for Dexedrine. They are both used to treat the same conditions, but what works for one person may not always work for another, so there are usually several choices your doctor can prescribe in any given therapeutic category. I take 30 mg ER twice a day and it seems to wear off latter on before the evening time. Does anyone have this issue if so what do you or your doctors do to fix this. ## From what I could gather, many people are saying that the D-Amphetamine Salt Combo seems to only last about 4 hours before it's initial effects start to fade. However they may or may not be referring to the extended release version. Others have also stated that the generic doesn't necessarily work as well or as long as the name brand. Even though they are the same mg...for example...a 30mg amphetamine salt combo can come in pink or orange...both act the same and have the same ingredients...even though they look nothing alike. I was given this prescription and it is made by actavis inc. I take 30mg and the manufacturer is different and the pill is a orange or peach color and round. It is smaller than the orange or peach pills that I took before. Hi, I usually take 30mg of adderal per day, in the morning. I am making a switch to amphetamine salts. They are the blue tablets, and I was wondering if anyone knows how many I wouldn't have to take to get the same effect? 30mg dosent let me sleep at night but I need close to that many mg to get me through the day. Certain types of 30 mg adderall (mainly the big, pink & as of recent orange round ones cut with a cross imprint), tend to not work as well 4 me as the 1's I always used to get orange oval-shaped 1's that read 30 & split in the middle; & kinda tasted like candy).
