Amoxy Pill

Can someone please help me find an 500mg amoxicillin that does not have blue or green dye in the capsule? I would also prefer any amoxicillin capsule that is not red or pink or yellow. I have problems with dyes. It was suggested to me that I call Poison Control and they told me that Duramed makes an amoxicillin that is clear and buff in color - this would be acceptable although, no dye is preferred. Can you get me 500 mg amoxicillin that has no dye or is clear and buff in color? I have a refillable Rx for 200 capsules. Has your doctor prescribed the Cephalexin? ## @Libby - do you have any known medication allergies? Amoxicillin is a penicillin antibiotic, whereas Cephalexin is a cephalosporin antibiotic. They are generally prescribed for similar types of bacterial infections (Cephalexin being given to those sensitive to penicillin antibiotics). White Round pill with R M B printed on one half of one side (the rest is blank) with a little divider divot underneath it. The letters seem slightly spaced apart with the M being slightly higher printed than the R and B. My doctor has perscribed me Amoxycillin for a tooth infection which is caused by my wissdom tooth. How long until it will start to kick in? I have been taking panadol for 3 days now although i only started my dose of antibiotics yesterday and am keen to see an improvement as i am in quite a bit of pain. ## Amox is an antibiotic which treats the infection and not the pain. All though it may feel better once the infection clears it may not stop the pain. You should see your Dentist who can prescribe pain killers and give you guidance on how to treat the problem to permanently stop the pain.

full hip replacement booked for 7th september and i got infection in a rotten tooth, dentist prescribed amoxycillin . on completion of course , went back and asked for another x ray and letter for hospital to confirm the infection has gone. dentist says thats not posslble as infection still there until tooth extracted, The initial infection was around the periphery of the root. I was under the impression the amoxycillin would kill that infection. Can I take Viagra and Amoxycillin at the same time? ## Hi Steve, How's it going? Based on my research, there are no drug interactions listed between Viagra and Amoxicillin. So in that regard it sounds like there shouldn't be any problem taking the two together. The only thing you may want to stay away from is large amounts of grapefruit while using Viagra, since it could potentially raise the levels of the drug in your body and/or delay the amount of time it takes to work. I have a large carbuncle on the right of my scrotum for about a week now, and it does not seem to come to a head, and drain. I now want to bombard it with Betamox 500 capsules and Co-amoxyclav 375. Would that be safe? ## That is essentially doubling up, since they both contain Amoxicillin, so you should only take one, or the other. Does this mean every 8 Hours were possible as someone was told it after breakfast, Lunch & tea being in my case 7.00am, 1.00pm and 7.00pm this gives you 6 hours between Breakfast and Lunch and 6 hours between lunch and Tea(dinner) & then 12 Hours between Tea and Breakfast Does this matter??? ## Hello, Jj! I have had an Asthma attack now for 6 weeks. I have taken amoxycillan for 4 of these weeks but my phlegm is still green. I was caught out in the rain in June and 3 days later started with a runny nose etc. I am very breathless and find cooking for the family really difficult as I cannot breath. Any ideas. I do have some Zoxon 500mg, should I change the antiobiotic over to these as I believe they are for a wide spectrum of infections. I have suffered Asthma for my entire life (70 years), been on daily prednisolone for 50 years now but cannot get down below 30mg a day.for the past 5 weeks. Any ideas. I'm not panicking yet.
