I have been prescribed Amoxicillin Tr K Clv and after four days, I have a bad case of diarrhea, so bad that I can't control loosing my diarrhea, as a result, I will not take the rest of the pills. Should I contact my doctor?? ## Yes, because if you have an infection, it does need to be properly treated. Dairy products may cause him to absorb less of it than he should, so it would be best not to mix it will dairy products. However, you could try fruit juice, apple sauce or something else. I was prescribed 1000 mg amoxicillin for a badly infected finger. The pharmacist didn't have the exact drug so gave me amox tr-k clv 500 mg plus amoxicillin 500 mg to take together. The bottle for amoxicillin also says augmentin 500 mg. Within an hour of taking the first dosage, I became violently ill. I immediately discontinued both products but remained violently ill for over 18 hours, vomiting at intervals of no more than 30 minutes for the entire time. 15 days later, I still feel weak and listless. Is Amoxicillin TR-K-CLV ok for a 15 year old with a sinus infection? ## Hi Karen, Based on my research, I do believe it is regarded as "safe" for a 15 year old to take this medication. Oral surgery for gingivitis and bone Graf. Been on for ten days and have 3days left. Threw up this am while eating 6 hrs after taking pill. Not allowed to chew yet mostly liquid diet. What can I do to combat nausea. ## Hello, Kim! How are you feeling? Have you tried taking it with a little milk? It does have a slight effect on the absorption of this antibiotic, but not enough that most medical scientists have considered it significant enough to carry a warning about telling people to stay away from dairy with this one. You should check with your surgeon first to make sure that it's okay for you to take it that way, but milk can often coat the stomach and help prevent the nausea and irritation. Since this is such a wide gap I suggest you call into your vet office and see what they suggest, typically if they have your animal on file they will have a good estimate of what they should have. I was prescribed amox tr-k clv 875mg on March 2, 2015 and been on it 8 days. Took meds yesterday afternoon notice my inside of ears felt hot my inside of nose felt like a burning sensation and my arms felt hot. I called my pharmacy. My physician ordered Augmentin but insurance only paid for the generic. I have a sinus infection and have been on amox tr-k clv for 4 days now. I have not had any relief yet.
