Amoxicillin Dosage
I have 500mg Amoxicillin capsules for an ear infection and they are pink and blue. Last time I had an ear infection the capsules were red and yellow. I'm wondering if these were a different dosage, its been a few years but I believe they were slightly smaller. I'm hoping the ones I have now are a higher dose because it took a 4 week course to clear it up last time, and now I have a 2 month old daughter and have to stick cotton balls in my ears when she cries or I black out for a second from the pain. Last time my ear drum ruptured, I'm really hoping I've caught this early enough to prevent that happening because that kind of pain was atleast 100x worse than labor. ## Based on the colors which you are describing for the capsules it sounds like you have the Amoxil brand of... ...

amoxicillin dosage 1
I took my first dose of amoxicillin at 4pm can i take second midnight before i go to bed and then start regime tomorrow? ## Hi Kennett, The doing instructions for Amoxicillin are largely dependent on the severity and type of infection you have. So unfortunately I can't offer you any specific dosing advice without knowing what type of infection you're taking it for. You may want to confirm dosing and administration details with your doctor if there's something unclear about your regimen. However, as a guideline, the usual adult dose of Amoxicillin for "most types of infections" is 500 mg orally 3 times a day or 875 mg orally twice a day for 7 to 10 days I hope this info helps! ...

amoxicillin dosage (Augmenton)
Hello, I (adult) was prescribed 875MG tablets of AMOX/CLAV - 1 tablet 2x a day for strep throat over a month ago but I am now better. My daughter who is 7 weighs 45 pounds has strep now and I have about 18 Augmenton pills left over. What is the dosage for her age? She has had to take pills in the past and I was going to break them up for the correct dosage but i'm not sure what that is. Her insurance does not kick in until the 1st of the month so if it possible just to give her my leftover meds it would save me a ton of money that I don't really have. If it is not possible then I would of course take her into the Dr. ## Hello, Beth! How is your daughter? No, it is never a good idea to try to dose a child with something that was prescribed for an adult. She may not even have an i... ...

I am afraid I may have been given wrong med. Taking it for sore throat. Have weakness and ringing in ears, maybe a side effect? Please help I am worried. ## Please remember that there are no guidelines in the Pharmaceutical industry that says all pills with the same ingredients have to look the same. There are many, many generic and name brand pill manufacturers and the way a pill looks, its color, size, and shape will vary for all of them. Even within a company, each one with vary for each different dosage that they make. The only requirements the FDA has is that they must have unique imprints for identification purposes. I want to know is this another side effect of tis medicine and I stop giving her this medicine? If not, what is the correct dose i Should give her? She is 13 months old and 19 lbs. ## Actually, if she had a throat infection, then those symptoms are most likely from that and not from the antibiotic. Amoxicillin 500mg Capsule Dosage
As part of flu, I had congetion with flum accumulation. Tried a course of mild antibiotics 250 mg but still traces of flum used to come out with cough. So I thought of taking Amox-500 mg (it was available at home). After taking tablet I realized that I shouldn't have taken such a strong dose and now I want to stop. Please let me know if this has any side effects or relapse of lung infecton? ## Was an infection confirmed by a doctor? A flu isn't caused by a bacterial infection, it is caused by a virus and antibiotics will not be effective at treating it, or its symptoms. They are only effective against bacterial infections. Can an infected tatoo be treated with amoxicillin ## Hi sunny, To answer your question, Amoxicillin can be used to treat "certain" skin infections. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. However I'd still recommend having it checked out by a doctor to make sure that you're using the most appropriate treatment option at the correct dosage and duration. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Amoxicillin Details I hope this helps! ...
