Amox Tab For Uti

I have a UTI, I am going crazy, my Dr. can't get me in for four days and there is no way I can take any more of this. I have Amoxicillin 875/ Clav K 125 Tab (whatever that means) that I was prescribed for a sinus infection that went away on its own. Can I use this for my UTI? I have the full prescription right here. Ugh that would be a God send. I AM TAKING AMOXICILLIN FOR UTI. 875 MG TABLETS.ONE EVERY 12 HOURS. I NEED TO CHANGE TO SULAMETHOXAZOLE-TMP. CAN I SUB SULFAMETHOXAZOLE WHEN IT WOULD HAVE BEEN TIME TO TAKE AMOX? ## Hi Roy, The answer to your question is yes, as long as you're still sticking to your dosing regimen. A friend of mine had to take both of these medications at once for a staph infection, so I know they don't necessarily interact with one another in that regard. I hope this helps!

I was attacked by a dog and the ER prescribed Amox-Clav for 3 days but the plastic surgeon prescribed the idential prescription for 7 days. Is it just effective after 3 days as is 7? That said, if it was obtained from a U.S. pharmacy, then it is good, by law, for one year from the date you had the prescription filled. Common side effects can include: nausea, dorwsiness, skin rash and diarrhea. put on macrabid 100mg today for uti. also have bronchitis and the er dr. told me when if finished the 7 days of macrabid to take amoxicillin 500 mg 1 cap x three times a day for 7 days for the bronchitis. by mistake this evening i tool the macrabid and the amoxicillin together! instead of the AZO 2 tabs 3xdaily. will i have any side effects of this 1 mistake. i notice by heart rate is up a bit and a few pvc's. but i did drink some tea this evening with some sprint mixed with it. sitting here at 2:00 pm worried sick! ## Hello, Katie! Hi. So in efforts to get pregnant my husband and i have increased sexual activity. I started noticing irritation when I urinated and thought it was a uti. Yesterday when the irritation increased after urinating into more of a bv situation, I took some Metronidazole pills I had already. Problem is I only had 3 tabs, so I took those every 8 hours. Can I switch to Amoxicilllin-Potassium Clavulanate instead in another 8 hours? ## The best thing to do would be to see your doctor, to confirm the presence of an infection, and let them prescribe an appropriate medication, if one is present. Rotor tilled and planted two gardens, planted 4-flats of flowers, 6-rosebushes cut lots of grass. Was not even achy or had sore muscles. Stayed up half the nite camping out. Can't sleep at nite, talk non stop and not very hungry. This was all days 2-5. If it wasn't for the no sleep I'm getting a heck of a lot done.
