Some of the most common side effects include: nausea, drowsiness, skin rash and diarrhea. ## i am taking ammox/pot clav and I want to know what the side affects are, because my ear is very irritated and swollen. ## My wife has been allergic to penicillan her entire life. When she took some in the past, in small dosages, she broke out in severe rashes. Her doctor prescribed Amox/Clav POT 875mg. amoxicillin dosage (Augmenton)
Hello, I (adult) was prescribed 875MG tablets of AMOX/CLAV - 1 tablet 2x a day for strep throat over a month ago but I am now better. My daughter who is 7 weighs 45 pounds has strep now and I have about 18 Augmenton pills left over. What is the dosage for her age? She has had to take pills in the past and I was going to break them up for the correct dosage but i'm not sure what that is. Her insurance does not kick in until the 1st of the month so if it possible just to give her my leftover meds it would save me a ton of money that I don't really have. If it is not possible then I would of course take her into the Dr. ## Hello, Beth! How is your daughter? No, it is never a good idea to try to dose a child with something that was prescribed for an adult. She may not even have an i... ...

amox tr k clv 875 dosage for my dog
I have a full bottle of these pills and my dog has a bladder infection. He is 126 lbs. Can I give him these? They expire in June so I won't be using them. ## Hi smokey, Based on my research, it should be ok for your dog as long as you're administering the correct dosage. The recommended dosage of Amoxicillin + Clavulanic acid is listed at 12.5mg (per kilogram of body weight). That amount is to be taken twice daily for treating most general infections (including UTI's). If you have any other questions pertaining to proper dosing or administration, you may also want to contact a local veterinary office, since they are well versed in this field of study. I hope this info helps and wish your dog a quick recovery! ...

Amox Clav 875 Mg - Question
What if I take another pill (875 mg) within six hours of taking my first pill - will that be harmful? ## Doubtful, but it probably won't be any more helpful. Why would you want to do this? ## Standard dosing protocol for taking this medication notes that you should be taking 875 mg orally every 12 hours for 7 to 10 days. That said I wouldn't suggest taking it sooner than later, as there will be an increased risk of severe side effects and other related symptoms. Taking more than prescribed at a different time frame could also trigger bacteria to become more resistant to the medication. Other side notes indicate that the every 12-hour dosage interval is associated with significantly less diarrhea than the every 8-hour dosage interval. I hope this information helps! ...

I have stomach problem already so I don't know if it is the medicine or not. I guess if it doesn't get better I would call your doctor. ## Yes, this antibiotic can cause nausea as a side effect, along with dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Learn more Amox/Clav details here. You should always double check such an issue with your doctor, to be sure, but as I said, it is a known side effect. Amount of dosage
I have a chest cold that won't go away. My doctor recommend I take Amox K Clav 500 125- 1 pill, 3 times a day. I am a small person and weigh under 75lbs. Do consider that dosage be too much for someone my size for the next 10 days? ## This is a generic for the antibiotic Augmentin and chest cold is caused by a virus, which would not respond to an antibiotic, so its likely that it has turned into an infection. And yes, that is the usual adult dosage for a severe infection, one tablet every 8 hours for 7 to 10 days. Learn more Augmentin details here. Did you discuss your concerns with your doctor, or pharmacist? You are very tiny, which means such an infection could be really dangerous, so it is important that you treat it properly. Mox 500 mg twice daily for how many days to be given. For Asthma patient Mox 500mg or Mox Clav 375 which one is most advicable ## Neither! Amoxicillin, in either formulation, is an antibiotic and it is only effective at treating infections. Asthma is caused by inflamed airways due to allergies and other adverse stimuli, so an antibiotic is not going to help with it. TODDLERS AND AMOX/K CLAV 500MG
I NEED TO KNOW IF ITS OKAY IF 7 YEAR OLDS CAN TAKE AMOX/K CLAV 500MG Tablets? ## Was it prescribed by the child's pediatrician? If not, then no they should not be given to them. Attempts to diagnose and treat, without a doctor's approval, creates the risk of causing the child to develop antibiotic resistance bacteria. I'm not trying to say this is what you are doing, I just want to make the warning the clear. However, if it was prescribed by their pediatrician, then yes it is a dosage used for children for bad infections. It may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Learn more Augmentin details here. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

Amox Clav 875 Mg/Metronidazole 500mg
My dentist perscribed Amox Clav 875 mg every 12 hrs and Metronidazole 500mg every 8 hrs for infection. I am having chills, nausia, and feel dizzy. Is this to much antibiodic for one individual? I am alergic to ALL mician groups; would this have an effect with these two pills? ## Amoxicillin with Clavulanic Acid, are the active ingredients in Augmentin, both it and the Metronidazole are antibiotics. The dosage can vary, depending on the severity of the infection, so if yours was pretty bad, then this dosage and combination is not really surprising. As to the chills, nausea and dizziness, those are not allergic reactions, but they can be normal side effects of these medications. You may also experience diarrhea. If they are too severe and bothersome, you should contact your dentist. Are t... ...

Amox Clav 875 Mg Effect on gall bladder
After one tablet of amox-clav 875 mg, I developed shakiness, rapid heartbeat, extreme flushing of my face, and general feeling of fainting. Went to ER and after some treatment, was released. Following days, experienced extreme pain in upper abdomen area. After two more trips to ER, was admitted and underwent battery of test showing gall bladder was shot. Had surgery to remove. Could this have been caused by the amox-clav? ## It's highly unlikely that just one dosage would cause such severe damage to your gallbladder. Learn more Augmentin details here. In many cases, it may go bad due to someone having a severely high fat diet and sometimes there really is no reason, it just happens. Learn more gallbladder details here. Can I Take Amoxk Clav875125tabsandoz For Tooth Infection
it has gg o n the left side an n7 on the right side. it,s a white pill.amox/k clav875 125tabsandoz for tooth infection ## To answer your question, yes, you can take these pills for a tooth infection. Amoxicillin is included in the list of popularly prescribed antibiotics for tooth infections. Its effectiveness however, depends on how far the tooth infection has spread; and if required, combination therapy is followed. The effectiveness of amoxicillin for addressing tooth infection also largely depends upon taking it in correct dosage, which is decided by the concerned doctor. A common dosing method for a tooth infection is taking one pill 3 times a day, (i.e., after every 8 hours) for 10 days. I would recommend checking with your doctor to verify what might be best for you though. I hop... ...

Was prescribed this med (2/day for 7 days) for sinus infection, swollen glands and ear. Took as prescribed and finished. Felt a bit better for a day or two. Still have the ear and gland problem. Was drug not strong enough? ## Amoxicillin with Clavulanic Acid is an antibiotic, the active ingredients in Augmentin. It was a pretty strong dosage, but it is possible that your doctor didn't prescribe it for a long enough time period to completely clear up the infection or the infection could be resistant to it and you may need to take a different antibiotic. Have you consulted with your doctor, again, on this? ...
