From my experience, if a label doesn't actually specify that it's time released in such a way, then it would probably be safe to assume that it's not. I have been taking 10 mg ofr Amlodipine Besylate. My problem is that it tastes horrible. Are there any of these in the generic that are coated. I gag every time I have to take this pill. Any information would be appreciated so I can ask my doctor for a pill specific if there is one! ## I don't know of any that are coated, but what I can tell you is that if you are tasting it, then you probably aren't taking it properly. Whenever you take medication, it should be places as far back in your mouth/throat, as possible, without choking yourself and immediately swallowed with a full 8 ounce glass of water.
