Altraday dosage and if can be taken on long term basis

I suffer from pain in both knees. I also suffer from pain in my left ankle region which my doctor tells me is due to "inflammation". He has prescribed me Altraday - 1 tablet every night at bed time for 5 nights and says it should not be taken too often. I do not get a clear answer from him on how often is "too often". I have experimented on my own and found that 1 tablet a day gives me good relief from pain for the first 24 hours and somewhat reduced relief for the next 24 hours. On this basis, if I continue to take one tablet of Altrday every alternate day on long term basis, I hope to lead a much better life. Is it OK, or do you have any suggestions? ## Hello, Ritinkar!
