How are you? Congratulations on the pregnancy! Since you are pregnant, you need to consult your doctor, before you take anything. It would be remiss for anyone online to suggest a medication or treatment, since there is no way for us to know your medical history and the specific status of your pregnancy. Is there anything else I can help with? ## i asked my doctor she suggested me to use restyl 0.25 m...

I have been on Eliquis for 4 months now for afib. Have only had one episode of Afib. have a cardiologist that doesn't listen. He's just a drug pusher and wants to do ablations. So I don't bother with him. He just turned me back over to my nurse practitioner anyway. I am wasting away on this eliquis 2.5 mg twice a day. Can't gain weight. Most people gain. Not me. Suffering all over body pain. Memory problems. Nausea. Hair falling out. Weak. No motivation. Think it's messing with my blood pressure. Sometimes sweating and fever. I looked up side effect. Drs won't even listen about side effects. Just want to push more pills. I don't sleep well. Hardly slept last night. This stuff can also affect the liver since most of it goes through the liver. I want to hear fr...

Amlodipine is known to cause erectile dysfunction. What is an alternative drug that does not do this? Thanks. ## Hello, Jim! How are you? Not everyone experiences this side effect, according to the FDA, so there is no way of knowing if it will cause you to experience ED. Additionally, it is a potential side effect for all blood pressure/cardiac medications, so there isn't any that can be guaranteed not to cause it. The best thing to do is to try the medication you've been prescribed, and if it does cause problems, inform your doctor and ask about trying an alternative medication. Is there anything else I can help with?

After finding that Suboxone would be detrimental to my health and I am trying to detox methadone, are there other alternatives? ## I am 72. I've used 35 years. Have been on Methadon since 1999 and am now at 20 mgs. After making an appointment for Suboxone I see that I am not a good candidate because of health issues. I'm asking if anyone knows of any alternatives other than suboxne type substances? ## Hello, Boogie! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you're having. It depends on what type of health issues are causing the problem. Some people that can't take Suboxone are able to Subutex, which is Buprenorphine, without the Naloxone. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be h...

I am so very sorry for all your problems with Accutance, but I absolutely adore this drug! I took Accutane when I was 15 because I went to sleep crying every night because I could not wear the dresses, basketball, or cheerleading uniforms that I was required to wear. I am now 22 and still have wonderful skin. I would take this drug over again and I would recommend it to ANYONE. I hate that some of you had awful results with this drug, but I think it is wonderful. I did not suffer any side affects and have yet to. The drug did exactly what it said it did for me....although who knows I may be having a parrot for a baby 5 years from now :) ## Well I pray that when you get older and you have children (if you are able to) that you will not have a doctor come in and tell you that your child h...

My daughter is 12 and has recently been diagnosed with ADHD. She has been started on this medication..Vyvanse. It seems to be helping her concentrate and her behavior seems better. However, her appetite is poor. I would like to take her off the medication for weekends. Her doctor thinks it is better for her to take it 7 days every week. Do you know if thats necessary? ## Hello, I'm sorry to hear that. My research suggests that patients who use Vyvanse should be aware that they can suffer from serious withdrawal symptoms if they abruptly stop using the medication. Therefore, I think it would be best to speak with your doctor about switching your daughter to something that won't alter her appetite- or have her continue to take the Vyvanse every day of the week like your doctor has...

There are many antidepressant and anxiety medications on the market, you may just not have found the right ones that work for you, yet. In addition, you may benefit from undergoing some mental health therapy, that can improve your outlook and mindset, rather than just relying on the medications.

Round blue pill w/C75 imprint. Supposed to be metroprolol from India according to label on bottle @ Walmart. Ckg on computer it says is amlopidine. Not real confident on this. I've been taking low dose 50mg Nitrofurantoin for over a year. My urologist recommended it and my PCP also said I should take it for life. I've had frequent UTI's/year and it's been a problem for more than 10 years. I've been free of UTI's since I went on the low-dose Nitrofurantoin. It's helped me greatly but I've developed some respiratory problems and my Dr. thinks that my long term use of this drug might be the cause of my problems. I would like to find an alternative antibiotic to Nitrofurantoin. Any clue what drug would be equivalent? ## Hello, Tipsy! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having.
