Both the XR and SR are just different abbreviations that stand for the same thing, they denote it as a controlled release medication. Some other abbreviations used for the same thing are ER and CR. Hi, i am taking this tablet since my accident a year ago. my question is why cant i get normal sleep if i forget to take the pill? what are the side effects? plz reply. ## What your taking is a .05 mg of xanax.After 2 or3 months of taking them you create a tolerance for them,(VERY ADDITIVE)a xanax,instead of getting into your blood stream,gets into your tissue,joints mussels,ect.I've been on them 10 yrs. 2mg.3 times a day.The longer you take them the more you'll need,and to come off of them is worse than H. Mine white 1mg arrive in blister packs with the name Tranex-1.on the packs. They are oval and can be split. Package comes from India. I can sometimes take 6 a day to feel affects of just 2 of the blue 1mg ## Is there anyone that receives the xanax( they call it alprazolam) in a blister pack wiht the words Tranez-1 and are white oval shaped? ## It's listed as being a foreign name brand for Alprazolam, but ordering from a foreign source means that there's really no way to be certain that it is actually what you've received. Hi guys! No, I’ve been taking this medication for almost 10 years and it’s only recently come to my attention that there is a ODT or orally dispensing tablet version of this medication and I’m wondering if anybody has any experience with it because with my panic disorder it’s difficult waiting the hour for my pillow to come on whereas I feel like this would happen much quicker. All the professionals say there are no difference between generics. I just switched from Dava 1 milligram alprazolam to the same made by Activis. However, post # 1 is correct about the possibility of either dosage varying by plus or minus 20%. From what I understand, that's the amount of wiggle room generic meds are allowed to have. Furthermore, this doesn't even take into account the different inactive ingredients (including their quality), which play a known role in how well we metabolize/absorb the tablet as a whole. I hve been on 1mg alprazolam for 20 years. They have always been blue. Just got a perscription and was green. It does not have the same effect. I only take at night.with no side effects. ## What are the markings on the tablets? I do not have anxiety or depression but have been prescribed alprazolam for insomnia. I usually cut the o.25 tablet in half each night before bed. i did not realize there was a 3 mg. xanax, does anyone have a pic? ## Sorry, providing a pic would be almost impossible since this is available in generic form. It is made by many, many manufacturers now and all of their pills will look however they want them too and have different imprints, so we could not possibly put a picture on here of any of them. There is a 3mg though only available in the controlled release.
