Are there ANY pharmaceutical companies that make Alprazolam that look exactly like the real thing-scored on both sides,but no #'s or letters? ## These are almost oval in shape and have no markings but where you can split the pill in 2, they are green and honestly i ate one and felt nothing. they had the taste but no effect. I was told they came from a blister pack and it said they were 2mgs , are there such pills out there ## It is possible, but if it has no markings, then it is NOT from a legal US approved manufacturer and there is no way to tell if it contains Alprazolam, or if it does, if it contains the correct amount. I posted about some G3722 potential fake xanax. They don't break on the lines at all and taste less bitter and a bit like soap. Somebody told me that they're just old/expired, and thats why they're so soft and taste different. I take a lot of meds and I'm worried what could be in these if counterfeit... However, post # 1 is correct about the possibility of either dosage varying by plus or minus 20%. From what I understand, that's the amount of wiggle room generic meds are allowed to have. Furthermore, this doesn't even take into account the different inactive ingredients (including their quality), which play a known role in how well we metabolize/absorb the tablet as a whole. Now, I’ve been prescribed Xanax since I was a kid, but just recently have I heard of this “Alprazolam Intensol”, which I actually was pleasantly surprised was manufactured by one of the pharmaceutical manufacturers I actually trust, but my question is, what is the purpose of this new type of administration, and why might a doctor prescribe this to a patient over regular bars? Can you overdose on benzo's? Can't you take a high dose of xanax and be really impaired up but never od? It gets dangerous when you mix alcohol and benzo's. NEVER MIX ALCOHOL AND BENZOS. ## I'm sorry, but that is not correct. Benzodiazepines, such as Alprazolam can cause depression of the central nervous system and taking that many could result in heart and lung failure, which could be fatal, if someone didn't receive supportive medical treatment in time. American generics in general have a pretty poor reputation in the rest of the world, and are priced higher than brands in almost any other country. Alprazolam has been removed from the UL NHS and is only available as Xanax brand - probably higher priced than in the US! We are forced to access our alps from other countries, the finest being found in Belgium, Argentina & Serbia. I have tried several US alps, kindly sent by kindred spirits there, but only one, the 1 & 2mg by GREENSTONE, were any good at all. Sandoz' GG249 are amongst the poorest I've had. I normally take the American yellow bars. They are my favorite. I have an opportunity to try some of these pex 2s from a friend. do they feel the same? How do they compare to crinkle back whites or yellow bars? ## Because these types of medications can and often do affect everyone differently, your best bet may just be to try it out for yourself and decide after a few days to a week or so if this manufacture's brand is really right for you. Anybody tried ALPROX brand 2mg bars? The ones I saw carried the same Actavis imprint (formerly Purepac) P039. When it comes to alprazolam from India I usually get Cipla TRANAX, the best pure alp (most alprazolam in India is in combination with sertraline) in India. Does Alprazolam come in the color green? They are round and little with no marking on either side. They were in a blister pack of 10 each. ## I would need any imprints or markings in order to identify the correct pill. Alprazolam comes in many colrs including green. I was given four pills and told they were generic Xanax. They are white and rectangular in shape (similar to most other 2mg Xanax pills), are scored 3 times on both front and back, and are imprinted with A 2 M G on one side. The manufacturers can make a generic medication look however they want it to, since the shape and color means nothing. As long as it has the same active ingredient it will work the same as any of the others. I have recently refilled my prescription and it with Bright Yellow Xanax Bars with the imprint of R039 on them BUT they just don't seem right! I have never seen a xanax 2mg bar that was as bright yellow as these and they don't taste right either! Xanax has a very distinctive taste to them no matter what brand they might be or wether they are generic or not! Dava Xanax 0.5 mg SUCKS! They're yellow ovals marked with an S and 901. They've been sued by Justice department in the past (2010) for distributing drugs that were half strength. We normally take 1.5 mg qd, but are allocated #3 tabs 0.5 mg qd. Even taking #3 we had no effect. What ever company makes oval peach coloured tabs have always been efficacious.
