Our grandson has been on amoxicillen since Wednesday afternoon for a sore throat. His fever is still 100º and his throat is still sore and swollen. I think he should be feeling better by now. The step test was negative. His Dr is not open on Saturdays. Should we discontinue the Amoxicillin on the possibility that he is allergic to it? His Dad (our son) and our other two children were allergic to penicillin drugs. ## keep taking it till you see your doctor and if he still has a fever take him to the hospital since the doctor is not open but I'm not sure. tell your doctor about it first. I hope he feels better!

I BREAK OUT HORRIBLY ALL OVER MY BODY. COULD IT BE THE HYZARR I TAKE DAILY? I ALSO TAKE TRI COR. ## I have been occassionally taking Tadlafil (Megalis 10) for many years. I feel this caused red patches appearing over the skin on my hands and legs. I have discontinued Megalis since last one year and the patches have now darkened and not going off even after using Candid B or Candid cream. How can I get rid of this patches. ## Yep, it's the meds. I finally figured this out on my own after 5 years of misery. I now have meds compounded and my skin has cleared. Is Losartan HCT safe if I have a bad allerigc reaction to sulfa? ## Though it isn't common, Losartan can sometimes cause an allergic reaction in some people that have sulfa allergies. Learn more Hyzaar details here. Thus, you may want to ask your doctor about prescribing a different medication. Many people can take this class of medications, without a problem and I can use myself as an example here, but it really depends on how allergic and sensitive that you are. Are there any other questions or concerns?

Looking at all the allergic reactions to Bactrim. If there is any way you can use another antibiotic, do so. This medication is seriously dangerous. I say this as a nurse, and also as a victim of a sulfa allergy. I was put on Bactrim for a MRSA infection. Long story short... Developed aseptic viral meningitis for the Bactrim. Ended up in the hospital for four days. Worst illness ever!!!! Look for fevers, severe headache, stiff neck. It will also cause "thrush" or yeast in your mouth. Painful. Rashes, vomiting, and loss of appetite are also common side effects. Avoid this medication if at all possible. Especially if you are immunocompromised! ## From what I've researched online, Bactrim does have quite an intimidating list of side effects / allergic reactions associated with ...

If you are allergic to codeine would you be allergic to tramdol? ## Hi Vanessa, According to addictionblog.org, Tramadol does not contain codeine. "Tramadol is a synthetic drug. This means that Tramadol is created in laboratories and is the result of chemical reactions. It is NOT a natural product, like codeine, and is called an opioid due to its chemical make up." That being said, you shouldn't have an allergic reaction to Tramadol, but everyone reacts to medication differently so I would definitely speak with your doctor before taking it. I've been on Linzess for constipation for two weeks. While it has only produced one bowel movement during this time, I was still hopeful. However, I woke up on a Wednesday with a swollen face and a bump in my eyebrow. I thought I had gotten bitten by something and didn't attribute it to the Linzess. Took Benadryl but didn't get any relief. I woke up with my eyes swollen almost shut on both Thursday and Friday morning and the bump in my eyebrow began to itch. By Saturday morning when I awoke to a swollen face and eyes again, I knew it was the Linzess. I am bummed since I was so hopeful that the Linzess would help me with my constipation. ## Oh wow! I am so very sorry about what happened. Did you consult your doctor? Has swelling gone away, yet? It is always possible to find o...

allergic to diclofenac can i take chlorzoxazone ## Hi rich, From what I could gather, Chlorzoxazone is in a class of medications called skeletal muscle relaxants. Diclofenac on the other hand, is listed as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). So if you are allergic to one, there shouldn't be any problems using the other, since they are not the same type of medication. I would however recommend discussing this with your Dr first, just to be on the safe side; as some people may be allergic to more than one type of substance. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Chlorzoxazone Details Is this your first time taking either of those medications?

Dimetapp Allergy Brompheniramine

Dimetapp is an American brand of over-the-counter cold and allergy medicines that is manufactured by Foundation Consumer Brands. At one point, Dimetapp as a household word referred to a single combination preparation marketed to relieve symptoms of the cold, containing brompheniramine (an antihistamine) and phenylephrine (decongestant replacing the formerly used pseudoephedrine, which itself replaced phenylpropanolamine). Variants were created, including Dimetapp DM with the addition of dext...

Does warfarin contain porcine intestine products? I was just diagnosed with alpha gal allergy and need to know if it will be a problem? ## What are the markings on the Warfarin that you have? I want to know the differnce between Stahist and Respa AR. I have taken Respa AR and have had excellent results. The pharmacy was out of Respa and gave me Stahist. (per the doctor of course). What is the difference? They both have the drying agent (which is very good) but they are differnt drugs. Are there different side-effects? ## Stahist contains Pseudoephedrine and Chlorcyclizine. Respa AR contains Pseduoephedrine and Chlorpheniramine. They both can be used to treat the same issues, and have very similar side effect profiles, which the FDA lists as possibly including nausea, headache, dry mouth, nervousness, and stomach pain. I am concerned because aspirin is constantly touted for chest pain, especially to be taken before getting to the ER. My problem is that until recently the color of the pill I was taking was a light coral. Recently the pharmacy where I was getting the pills told me the coral color was no longer available. It was replaced by a blue color. I think I have an allergy to the blue dye as since the change I have had extreme dry and red rash on my lips that will not go away.
