Hello! I bought diane 35 today..i have my period last july 23..7 days ago..so i skip 7 tablets on the pad..is it right where i start? ## Hello, May! How are you? No, you shouldn't skip any tablets, unless your doctor has given some reason for doing so, but if they haven't, you should start with the first tablet in the pack and take one a day, every day, around the same time. Since you are not on your period, when starting, it will take 7 days to reach its full level of efficacy in your body to prevent pregnancy. The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, spotting and PMS-like symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with? ## hello mam.. I stopped taking it as my body cannot adapt its effects. so in the end my p...

After three highly painful acid in the throat episodes, including a trip to the emergency room, I found this site and realized the problem. Three doctors and one pharmacist had never heard of the problem. Bless you Dr. Google! The Blue pills should be reserved for torture purposes only. ## It is amazing that people are complaining about the different types of generic, Prozac. I know the generic, fluoxetine, is made by many drug manufacturers. The generic brand, depending on the manufacturers that make or provide, fluoxetine, do not seem to work well for some people, while the other people using the same type of generic fluoxetine works great. I know I am one of those people. I just read that one person cannot stand the blue generic fluoxetine made by NorthStar, but the 40mg blue generic...

I have taken Chantix for 3 months and I haven't had a cigarette for 94 days but I'm having horrible side effects. Aggression, trouble breathing, nervous and irritable. I took my last Chantix about 3 months ago, will this go away? Should I seek medical help? ## If it has been 3 months since you last took the medication, then chances are very low that this is being cause by it, it is long out of your body by now. I would suggest seeking medical help, at least a phone call to your doctor. It could still be issues from quitting smoking, but smart to consult them just to be on the safe side.

Hi guys hoping to get some advice here, I was out on lexapro after a pretty bad pannick attack from medication in as given by a doctor that dehydrated me and put me in the ER. I took 10mg of generic Lexapro at 10mg for a bit over a week and was so tired that it was hard to stay awake, spoke to the doctor and he said to switch to 5mg which I did for about a week the we cut down to 2.5mg for about a week then cut it down to half of that pill for about 4 days. After doing this I cut it down to half of that pill for 3 days. During this time of cutting down each dose I had a few symptoms as In slight anxiety not much, nervousness, minor headaches which got stronger for a few days then went away, brain fog, depersonalization and just a alone feeling. Within the time I had been on it I have lo...

I found an unopened bottle of Diovan (90 tabs) in my medicine cabinet. It got pushed back by my more current orders. It expired 5 months ago; are they still good? ## Hello, Ann! How are you? They don't get dangerous once past the expiration, but they do begin to lose effectiveness. Are they in a factory sealed bottle or one from your pharmacy? The factory sealed ones usually have a longer expiration date. ## Thank you Verwon. I was told it is still good until the end of the year so I started taking it right away. At least my 3-month supply won't be wasted.

I had a procedure done and was given 1 vicodin I am on suboxone and i had stopped 2 days prior to the procedure. Well it is all done and it was 7 to 8 hours ago i took the vicodin. Can i take my suboxone now or do i need to wait? ## Hi, Ashley! What did you end up doing? In that case, I'm not really sure how long you would need to wait and your doctor would probably be the best person to advise you. It doesn't seem that there would be a lot of withdrawal problems caused from someone taking just one Vicodin, but the human body can be funny and the Naloxone in the Suboxone can be tricky, so it's best to play it safe. You can learn more Suboxone details here.

My Caresource Insurance Stopped Paying For Strips And Now My Pharmacy Gives Me 8mg White / Round Generic Pills Which Insurance Covers. Is There Any Way I Can Get The Orange Octagon N8 Pills? Does Anyone Know What Pharmacy Might Give These And Will Caresource Pay For Them In Ohio. Are They Better? ## I'm on the films and I prefer them to the pills. And no you can't get the stop sign shaped pills by reckitt anymore as they phased them out a few years ago due to "children safety" when there is no evidence backing this up which is why they are facing a mega legal suit from the FDA. You can get generic pills however but not generic films as those are only brand name. I tried the generic pills and didn't care for em so I take an 8mg strip a day and have for years and never...

I have an old script of expired Lorazepam from 4 years ago. Is it still safe to take? ## It doesn't become dangerous, once expired, but it may start to lose effectiveness. If it is in a bottle as dispensed from you pharmacy, it would have expired a year from the date it was dispensed. If it's that old, my suggestion would be best to dispose of it and obtain a new supply, if you still need this medication. However, on the contrary, according to Harvard University’s Medical Center, “Most of what is known about drug expiration dates comes from a study conducted by the Food and Drug Administration at the request of the military. With a large and expensive stockpile of drugs, the military faced tossing out and replacing its drugs every few years. What they found from thei...

I have breast cancer and was asked by my doctor to be in a study currently going on in the US for cancer patients who smoke and want to quit. It's a 1 year double blind study that involves counseling and either 12 weeks of Chantix or 24 depending on which group you are randomized to. I am being followed by a doctor and psychiatrist and have to check in every 2 weeks for counseling. I am very concerned about all the negative feedback regarding this drug. I don't think doctors are interviewing their patients properly before prescribing this drug. I was told if I had a history of depression or mental illness I could not take this medicine. I was also told if I had elevated blood pressure I could not take this medicine. Please make sure your health history is reviewed before taking ...

I stopped taking Belviq 2 weeks ago after being on it 6 months. I have been sick (scary sick) since coming off of it. Nausea, not being able to eat, diarrhea, muscle pain, and headaches. How long before the drug is out of my system and is this normal? ## It may take a month, or more for things to settle down so you start feeling better, once your body adjusts to no longer having the medication added. Those can be normal withdrawal effects, according to the NIH. If they don't improve, of they worsen, you should consult your medical provider. Are you on any other medications? Has there been any change, yet? Why did you stop taking it? ## Stopped taking Belviq after taking for over two years. How long will withdrawal symptoms last?

I took my first dose of Belsomra 10mg last night. I was awake all night. I had shaking and twitching all over. My legs were the worst, but I could also feel my stomach quivering! It was the most miserable and frightening experience. I'm glad I was given samples. ## Wow! I am very sorry about what happened to you, that's terrible. Belsomra side effects are listed as possibly including daytime sleepiness, sleep walking, dizziness, depression, and abnormal dreams. DailyMed does warn about some possible nausea, but given how miserable you were, and the fact that you didn't sleep, it doesn't seem that your response to it was typical. Are you on any other medications? ## Yeah, I'm one of those people that Dr's look at and say, "Oh my, what have I gotten myself into...

Today is day 3. Haven't had any reactions or any listed side effects but I know over time drugs build up and can then cause trouble. Anyone have any advice? I'm a type II Diabetic that takes (Lantus long acting Insulin at night). ## Hi Peter, It's good to hear that you have experienced any side effects thus far. Unfortunately there's no way to know what's going to happen, until it happens. That's just the nature of many medications these days. I would just take note of how you're feeling right now- and if you experience any changes in your mood or overall well being, write down exactly what you're feeling. By doing so you'll be able to track any changes that might occur, just in case the medication does start to create problems. You can learn more abo...

What happens when you take expired bactrim that is 2 years old ## Hello, Rosy! How are you? This medication does not become toxic, once expired, but it does start to lose effectiveness, so it may not effectively eliminate the bacteria, which creates the possibility of your developing antibiotic resistance. Thus, if you think you have an infection that requires an antibiotic, it would be best to see your doctor for a new prescription. This medication may also cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Is septra. Safe. If its been. Expired.
