The Drug Enforcement Agency is making it very hard on doctors to prescribe pain medicine such as oxycodone, oxycontin, percocet and even hydrocodone. They have set new rules that go into effect May of 2016, that's this month. Unless you have a serious condition and have been on these meds for the treatment of your pain it will no longer be easy peasy getting the appropriate pain relief you need from a general practitioner... I have been taking dextroamphetamine for several years .in dec 2011 I could not find any, I was told they were back ordered and that the drug and food agency had a limitation on how much could be sent to each state. now in 2013 they are back and the price has sky rocketed i think they created the shortage so they could raise the price ## You are entitled to your opinion, but such conspiracy theories usually have little merit and are rarely born out by research and time. There are limits on how much a pharmacy can order and stock in any given month of all controlled substances, it's not a limit placed on states, but on each pharmacy according to the size of their normal customer base.
