How does everyone find the Extended Release (XR, ER) version of Adderall to work when compared to the Immediate Release (IR)? ## Adderall XR, maybe I got a bad generic but it's crap, it does not reveal in your system. I hate all XR meds they are awful. My doctor put me on reg Adderall and the quality is night and day, reg last 4 hours that's okay. I take another one, and get the same quality. The xr is weak and seems to last a shorter time than the IR. Everybody is different I know, and I'm no doctor, so take what your prescribed, and please do not abuse drugs, take it like its prescribed. It works trust me. I've been diagnosed Bipolar II. Am currently on, and have been for a few years, Paxil, Lamictal, risperdal and klonopin. Taking the two together has made a difference in the longevity of the Adderall. My Doctor informed me that Zegerid OTC would enhance the effects of the Adderall and also help in the medication lasting longer and I've tried it, it's true, it does help tremendously. Zegerid is an acid reducer that is available OTC. ## Any acid reducer should help. Amphetamine are basic and less acidic digestive system increases absorption. Although I think Adderall is something on the order of 75% bioavailable typically. If the acid reducer also increases urine ph, making it less acidic, more is reabsorbed and less is excreted. And anything that can increase urine or gastric ph will have the opposite effect. Which can come in handy for someone who is still a little stimulated and can't sleep. ...

My daughter is on this medication and currently does not have insurance for the next two months. I was hoping to contact the manufacture so I can see if she can get it at no cost until her new job insurance kicks in. I took adderall xr 20mg yesterday at 11pm and by 11:30 it started to kick in but I felt tired and sluggish on the inside but on the outside I was shaky and energetic and my heart was going fast. I was diagnosed with ADHD as a child and took mostly Ritalin. I stopped somewhere around 4th or 5th grade. By the time college rolled around, I knew that my concentration issues were likely due to ADHD, so I got retested at a psychology facility (it was something like 6-7 hours of various tests) and was formally diagnosed with ADHD again at the age of 19. That was 7 years ago. I took amphetamine salts (short-acting) generic for several years with no side effects that I noticed. Does anyone know the color of the beads that are instant release in the Shire 30 mg. I am trying to find this out because the long acting beads stay active to long preventing sleep and the Shire Brand is the only decent Adderall. I believe the two colors are white and a orange lookin beige. Are these suppose to have the beads inside them or is it powder form? Theyre orange 30mg capsuls with R-3061 on them. Took one and immediately fell asleep? ## There doesn't appear to be any photos of this pill online, however, I did come across posts from others stating that this particular capsule imprinted with "R 3061" does in fact have beads.
