Hi, I have recently moved back to the new orleans area and need a doctor who liberally prescribes adderall. Any suggestions in the new orleans/metarie/ westbank area would be great. Thanks in advance ## Adderall is typically prescribed by psychiatrists and pediatricians, while general practitioners typically prescribe the medication for certain off-label uses. That said, I would consider finding psychiatrists and/or pediatricians in your area as opposed to a regular medical doctor. Reason being is that they are better trained in the types of medications that handle these problems and many general physicians are reluctant to prescribe controlled substances due to abuse and the heavy regulations that they have to abide by from the government. I know this isn't a direct answer to your ...

Just moved back to New Orleans. Have been on Adderall and Clonapin for 8 years recently got off and need to get back on. Have PTSD and ADD. What's a good doctor that will prescribe me this if I am legit and have paperwork? I don't need a hassle. I know what works for me. Thanks. ## Hello, Robert! How are you? Due to the new regulations that were set forth by the DEA last year, you'll need to see a specialist to have such medications prescribed, so in your case, that would most likely be a psychiatrist. The FDA lists Adderall as being a stimulant that is most commonly used to treat ADHD and narcolepsy. I'm looking for a compassionate doctor that will prescribe methadone in the New Orleans metro/Metairie area. Currently being treated at the UMC Medical Center in New Orleans for HIV. I'm prescribed Stribild, Adderall & Buprenorphine but I want to switch from Buprenorphine to Methadone. Please help!!! ## Hello, Nolaboy! How are you? Under current law, Methadone can only be prescribed for addiction treatment in a clinical setting by those specially trained in its use for such, thus it would be illegal for a private doctor to prescribe it. Thus, a clinic is your only option. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is ther...

Hi, does anyone know of any doctors in New Orleans that will prescribe Adderall IR 30mg? I used to get it when I lived in Manhattan, NYC from my regular physician. Since moving out here to NOLA, the doctors treat everyone like a drug addict making it very hard for people like me who aren't drug addicts and actually need the medication. My current Psychiatrist will only give me Adderall XR 30mg. It's doing nothing for me. The Adderall IR works better and is something like $40 cheaper than the XR. I don't have health insurance, so I use a discount card. If anyone knows of any physicians in New Orleans that will definitely prescribe Adderall IR 30mg, PLEASE let me know.
