I have had adult onset narcolepsy/EDS (excessive daytime sleepiness) for 2 years and have tried almost all anti-depressants to try to alleviate the problem. I recently completed a sleep study and they found no sleeping disorders, so everything points to narcolepsy. My psychiatrist has been extremely unhelpful so it's time to find a new doctor. I live in northern Wisconsin but am willing to travel anywhere in the midwest to get real help. Please help if you can, need an effective neurologist or psychiatrist. ## Hello, Charley! How are you? I was taking 5 20mg generic Adderall for almost 10 yrs and then my Dr. retired. Do I have to go to a Psychiatrist for it? I have tried a couple of them, the same answer, no. I'm not asking for 5 a day, even 3 would be nice. I do not have heart trouble, never have had high blood pressure, etc. I took it for ADD and depression.
