Whether or not they want to pursue treatment is up to them and if so they might go for another medication rather than Adderall. Chances are if you walk in and say you have ADHD, then ask for an Adderall script you won't get it because it is seen as what they call "drug seeking behavior". Also, you can't expect them to not ask any questions, because that is essentially part of their job in making sure they give you the right medication and aren't just handing it over to someone who only wants to abuse it. I'm from Texas and I'm wondering if any of you guys have been notified by your PCP about the new triplicate policy? My PCP's office notified me that I have to go in each month for me to get my prescription instead of every 4th refill and I also have to pay whatever amount I pay for co-pay+tripcate and on top of that I'm required to do monthly EKGs. Has anyone heard of such new policy for 2016? Perhaps the Adderall is to help you with ADHD? That is typically the only reason one takes Adderall...if they have a focusing deficit and need the mediciine to concentrate. Some people who have ADD are very wired and excitable so doctors put them on things like Clonodine, (but usually not Xanax), to help calm them down. Why are so many responders referring to Adderall as Speed? From my understanding, speed is a methamphetamine? I need input from anyone on how to store generic Adderall. Lately I've had big problems with their longevity and am not getting much help from the pharmacist or drug information which says to keep it within room temperature. The present mfg CorePharma are horrible in this respect. I've been diagnosed Bipolar II. Am currently on, and have been for a few years, Paxil, Lamictal, risperdal and klonopin. Certain types of 30 mg adderall (mainly the big, pink & as of recent orange round ones cut with a cross imprint), tend to not work as well 4 me as the 1's I always used to get orange oval-shaped 1's that read 30 & split in the middle; & kinda tasted like candy). I got my prescription filled today for Adderall 15 mg and Aurolife was the generic they used because they were out of their normal one. I have taken Adderall for years & even gone down in dosage with no problems but today after of 2 hours of waiting for the pill to work I took another. I can't tell I've taken anything. I've called the pharmacy twice about this plus a separate matter(a mistake they made in submitting to insurance) and questioned the pharmacist about this drug. Hello I need help in deciding what would be the best course of action for me to take. A year ago I started getting prescribed Adderall 20 mg that I was suppose to take once a day. It was really working for me for a couple of months but after three months after an eight hour day I started to feel myself getting tired. I told my doctor this and he changed it to 15 mg twice a day. This seemed to be working, but I usually do not take two in one day. Most of the time I take one by 10 am and I don't want my body to build up a tolerance or a dependency on them so I usually only take the second one if I am having a long day.
