I had no idea there could be a difference between the different colors of generic adderall. This explains why I find the pink ones less effective than the orange. Need to know the bead color of the 3061 capsule ## @jake, I'm not sure about "R 3061", but "R 3060" contains WHITE beads and is the 20mg extended release version from the same manufacturer (Actavis)... So odds are that the 30mg 3061 capsule may have the same color beads as the dosage below it. The only differentiating factors I'm aware of are the imprints and the capsule color itself. Why mix amphetamine & dextroamphetamine as ingredients? ## According to Standford Medicine, Adderall's duration of action lasts for around 6 hours. They go on to state that the extended release version lasts for 10-12 hours. Source: stanford.edu/medications/adderall.html Additionally, Adderall's peak effects reportedly take place within 1-3 hours - but I'd imagine this figure would vary for each individual. As to your second question, I don't know why they would mix the two different types of amphetamine salts. In my regular prescription for Adderall XR, I opened a few of the capsules and found only white beads. (They've always been orange/white.) Also, they were much larger in comparison. My usual pharmacy was out of the orange pills, forcing me to resort to the pink ones, a decision I regret and will never repeat. They're less expensive, which might explain why they opt for them. I've been on a routine of 30 mg twice a day for years and have never required an increase. Though there is another pharmacy within a 25-mile radius, I never felt the need to go there until now, realizing the pink generics are ineffective for my condition! I lack energy, struggle to focus, and am frustrated that I forgot how ineffectual these pink pills are for me. Despite taking three pills today, there was no improvement. I'm not seeking a high. Hi. I have ADHD along with depression. I use Escitalophram 10mg at bedtime for depression, also along with 5 mg. Ambien. I used to take Temazapam 10 mg before I saw studies associating it with either dementia or Alzheimer's, from which my father died. I also have sleep apnea. Understanding that one's ADHD is not effectively addressed until the depression is first being addressed, my psychiatrist is prescribing 40 mg generic ADDERAL (E 401) x 2 in the morning and generic Ritalin 20mg in the afternoon, though I suspect at least 40mg would work better since Ritalin is not as strong as ADDERALL and even theoretically 20mg Ritalin is only 10 mg of ADDERALL. I agree with you 100% about them not seemig to work. I thought it was just me. I've been presiscribed for 10 years and the meds have always helped. They turned my life around. Until my pharmacy started carrying these weird crescent symbol 28 pills. I agree with you all in the difference between the peach oval generic pills vs. the orange round generic pills. The oval ones - I stay focused throughout the day at my job with almost no side effects. Recently, my normal pharmacy who I have picked my prescriptions up from for the 7 years switched to the round orange ones. Assuming they were the "same", I took them. The first day I already could notice a HUGE difference! My biggest complaint was the headaches! Not to mention very irritable, fatigue, weakness.
