Hey guys. Most of us are probably in the same boat--our Adderall doesn't work and it's horrible and we can't function well and it's bull**** and we all know that, but there are other threads/forums to vent frustration. We need a thread with the basics to help us all get going again or to know what to avoid (even though that seems like all of them these days, ha.) PLEASE POST THE FOLLOWING: 1. MANUFACTURER OF YOUR RECENT ADDERALL PRESCRIPTION 2. XR OR IR? HOW MANY MG? COLOR/SHAPE/IMPRINT? (if possible) 3. ***PHARMACY NAME*** AND MONTH/YEAR OF SCRIPT 4. YOUR LOCATION (if you are comfortable with that) 5. SIDE EFFECTS/SYMPTOMS. GOOD? BAD? Generally speaking, chain pharmacies use the same manufacturer at all of their locations throughout the country and that will make it eas...

My name is Phil and I am 18 years old. I weigh 170 lbs and I am 6'3. At the beginning of my Freshman year of college I was diagnosed with ADHD and Social Anxiety Disorder. I currently take Adderall IR 10 mg (Barr Generic) once per day and Adderall XR 20 mg (Actavis Generic) once per day. I take Zoloft 100mg (American Health). My question is this: What are your experiences with the different generic brands? From what I have heard, for Adderall IR Sandoz/Eon has worked well with a lot of people, for Adderall XR Actavis (what I take) is really bad and I'd like to hear about Global and Barr, and I haven't researched Zoloft. Since I haven't tried any brands, I can't really compare these to anything. Here is the list of generics I have heard of (the asterisk means I'm ...

One of the worst generics I had at Kroger’s was Zydus. Switched to Walgreens and they have Teva. Kroger is cheap for everything else though. Xanax bars for 120 are like 12 bucks. Effexor is like 5 bucks. Cialis for 90 is only like 25 and it’s over 100 at Walgreens. So I get everything but my Adderall at kroger.

I need to find a coupon for 15 mg ## We've had several other people ask recently and, from what I can find, it appears that Shire no longer provides an assistance program for Adderall, since it is a controlled substance. Are you on the regular release formulation? If so, there are generics available that would be much cheaper, if you don't have insurance coverage. Also, have you discussed your other treatment options with your doctor? ## I need Adderall and can't afford it. I am jobless right now and have 3 children.

Has anyone used the Mallinckrodt. I have never even heard of it, and have taken the other generics with moderate success;. This brand is horrible. Very weak. Anyone experienced the same? ## Hello, Brian! How are you? Yes, several other people have complained about this one, though some have not had any problems with it. It really depends on the person. This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, anorexia and insomnia. Can anyone else chime in that's taken this one? ## Generic Adderall made by Barr,Teva, Eon all seem to be great! No issues for over 4 years. Now for the 2nd time in the past 3 months I filled my script at Walmart. Instead of the orange oval pills, my bottle contained white, bitte...

90 10mg generic are blue oval ## I have an extremely hard time concentrating on anything for more than a few minutes.(A very short attention span) ## Actually, there may be other generics 10mg tablets that are other colors, the size, shape and color are entirely up to the manufacturer, they do not all have to look the same. Timmy, this site is not medical professionals, so we cannot possibly try to guess at a diagnosis for you or suggest a treatment. Have you consulted your doctor? I have been taking the orange 20mg Adderall for almost a year now. I had my old Dr. retire and I got a new one. She kept me on it but as soon as I got my new prescription, the one I got was white R 351 pill. Is this the same as the orange or better? ## They have just been manufactured by different companies, which is very common with generics. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, and insomnia. How has it been working for you? ## These new white pills are awful. I just got mine from Walmart. They always carried the orange football- shaped ones until last month. These white ones do not work..make me nauseous and taste awful. ## Is Adderall in a very small dosage bad if you ...

Navigating the maze that is Dexedrine Generics is painfully complicated. Here are some tips. Everyone has their preference when it comes to medications like Dexedrine and Adderall. I happen to believe that the Brand Name drug is preferable to the generics, but the price is just astronomical. Dexedrine ER Capsules (Amedra) are priced at about $1300 for a bottle of # 90. The right to manufacture generic versions of the brand medication is spread among a number of companies, and changes constantly as companies are sold and resold to different holding groups. As for Generic Dexedrine: in 2010 Corepharma purchased the right to make Dexedrine from GlasxoSmithKline. CP then offered Brand Dexedrine (made by one of their divisions, Amedra) and generic Dextroamphetamine Sulfate - under the CP lab...

Hello. I've been taking Sandoz Adderall IR for about 5 months now, so far so good. I am taking around 10mg x2 a day and it doesn't last long enough, and when the crash comes I become very confused and bored. 1. Does Sandoz make Adderall XR? If so, is it any good compared to other brands or generics? 2. If not, what is the best generic for Adderall XR? ## Hello Tyler, Yes Sandoz has been making an XR version of their Adderall since mid 2017. Due to the ingredients being different in the XR, as well as other generics, I wouldn't be able to tell you which one would work best for you. It's also worth noting that since you would be switching to the XR the medication may not have as strong of an impact as it used to due to the lower dosages of active ingredients in your system...

looking for free trial adderall xl ## We've had several people asking for these recently and I am sorry to say that there are no current coupons available, the manufacturer is no longer even offering their assistance program for those without drug coverage. Adderall contains Mixed Amphetamine Salts and is most commonly used to treat ADHD and Narcolepsy. Common side effects may include: nausea, headache, insomnia and anorexia. Learn more: Are there any other questions or comments? ## my son was prescrbed adderall xr and I wanted to see if there was a coupon for it. ## my dr gave me a prescription for a 90 day supply of the Brand name adderall xr 25mg because of the shortage on all the generics, and my insurance will not pay anything on the name brand medication. they rather me switch...

I have been taking Adderall IR 30mg twice a day for years. In the past, I've noticed that some generics seemed to work better than others but it wasn't anything I couldn't live with. On Friday, my pharmacy filled my RX with a generic I had not seen before. I noticed on Sat that I wasn't feeling well. I felt very fatigued, tired, no energy. On Sunday, it was worse. Then today it was impossible! I felt like I had taken a sleeping pill. I could not stay awake! I fell asleep, wherever and whenever I became still. I fell asleep, three times, at my kitchen counter. I woke up and my head was literally on the kitchen counter. I fell asleep on the toilet while going pee multiple times. It finally occurred to me to look up this generic adderall. When I saw that it's manufactur...

Has anyone who has taken Adderall IR for more than five years (or at anytime) experienced a severe skin ulcer? ## No I have taken it off and on since 2005, BUT different generics use different fillers so maybe you have an allergy? ## It is not listed by the FDA as a known side effect of taking Adderall, the typical ones include nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, mood changes, weight loss, and anorexia. This medication also carries the risk of being habit forming. Ref: Adderall Information Are you on any other medications? Did you injure yourself in any way that may have led to ulcerations?

My local pharmacy filled my prescription for Adderall ER 30mg. with the ACTAVIS EL instead of the TEVA USA brand, and I noticed that things were drastically different. First, I noticed mild radiating warmth in the left side of my chest… but, we all know that’s fairly common. Second, I had to constantly remind myself to stop grinding my dam teeth, “I’m a musician and always think of music as if I were playing drum parts with my teeth… f***ing annoying”. Third, was the need to crack every joint in my body such as ankles, toes, wrists, fingers, neck… you get my drift. Forth, I got far “DIZZY-UUUURR…….RR” than with other Adderall ER generics such as Teva USA or Shire. Fifth, I finally checked the label and noticed that it was...

I am very concerned and confused about why generic Adderall brands are so all over the place!! I usually get Aurora brand and I'm fine with it but last month I got this corpharma brand crap, it made my stomach ache and gave me a headache! It was terrible. Back on Aurora brand and I feel better again but wtf is up with this BS?! I'm thinking about having my dr write no substitutions on my script and just pay for the name brand adderall. I've tried it in the past and it is by far superior. Motivation, concentration, and energy are all together with minimal side effects. Anyone relate? ## Yep, it's a huge problem (variation in effectiveness) and it's gotten worse over the years. Main problem. With generics the FDA allows up to 20% difference in the "main", activ...

Does this generic version have the same effect as the brand adderall? Just doesn't feel the same so far. Should I take more to regain the normal effects? Or is it just hopeless? ## @Newton, Generics can be tricky with regards to their potency. Not many patients are aware of this, but apparently the FDA allows dug manufacturers to have a 20-25% variability in the amount of active ingredients that they put into their generic tablets. Although some generic versions can be better than others, I believe this is why many people don't feel like they get any relief from them. I'm not a doctor, so I can't recommend taking any more than you're already prescribed... but it sounds like brand name adderall would be more consistent as far as its overall efficacy is concerned. I ho...

Just wondered if anyone else has gotten a prescription filled with a round peach pill imprint U 31 on one side, and quarter score on the other ## Yes I got that generic yesterday ## @peter, Just to confirm, a round orange/peach colored pill marked with U 31 is in fact identified as a 30mg generic Amphetamine + Dextroamphetamine tablet. The manufacturer is listed as Aurolife Pharmaceuticals, based in New Jersey. I haven't tried them personally, but did come across a few posts on here stating that they weren't nearly as good as some of the other versions on the market. However, if you're not used to using other brands/generics, I'm not sure if you'd even notice any significant differences at all. I hope this info helps! ## They're horrible. I typically don't no...

I NEED A MANUFACTURE ADDERALL 20 MG XR VOUCHER OR FOR DEXTROAMPHETAMINE. I CANNOT AFFORD $186.00 WITH ALL THE OTHER MEDS I AM ON ITS CRAZY, I HAVE A HSA W/ A DEDUC. OF 4000.00 ## As of writing this there is currently no program available for Adderall and there never is for the generics, because they are cheaper by their very nature. Have you tried consulting your doctor about possibly using an alternative medication? There are some other options on the market for treating the same conditions and they may be cheaper. ## I'm also on this medication and found the price is drastically different from one pharmacy to another. my insurance won't pay for anyone over the age of 22 if treated for ADD. Camber's new generic for Adderall IR 15mg is no good. Prior to it I got 10mg Adderall from CVS and it worked great! Just got a fill from Kroger since CVS was out of stock. The brand is from Camber and not only does it not work, it makes me feel unwell, sleepy and super irritated. It’s crazy how companies are able to differentiate in their generics like they do. This Camber brand just makes me want to go to sleep but I feel so unwell it’s hard to. I can’t focus at all on anything but how sick I feel. Don’t take this new stuff people and if you have what did you think? ## Generic medication can vary up to 20% in strength from the name brand, so one could be 20% weaker and another 20% stronger than name brand, so that’s a huge difference. My usual pharmacy was out of the orange pills, forcing me to resort to the pink ones, a decision I regret and will never repeat. They're less expensive, which might explain why they opt for them. I've been on a routine of 30 mg twice a day for years and have never required an increase. Though there is another pharmacy within a 25-mile radius, I never felt the need to go there until now, realizing the pink generics are ineffective for my condition! I lack energy, struggle to focus, and am frustrated that I forgot how ineffectual these pink pills are for me. Despite taking three pills today, there was no improvement. I'm not seeking a high. I genuinely have ADD, and the upcoming month looks bleak until I can refill my prescription for the orange pills. Can anyone else relate? ...

white cylinder shaped pill with few numbers and letters on them. There is also a smaller brownish orange one ## When generic pills are manufactured, they can be made by many different companies and due to federal law, they will all have different markings. The shape, size and color, is, however, up to the manufacturer. That said, it would be impossible for me to post pictures of all the possible generics on the market to see if you have a match.
