How do you know if you need to be prescribed adderrol? I am 47 yrs old I have a hard time staying focused and lose track of time due to being sidetracked. ## Hello, Renee! How are you? Only a doctor can evaluate you and your symptoms, to see if you have ADHD and need to be medicated to rectify the situation. The best doctor to consult is a psychiatrist, your PCP should be able to refer you to one. Adderall requires a prescription. The FDA classifies it as a stimulant that carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, insomnia and weight loss. Not everyone with such symptoms requires medications, behavioral therapies do help some people. Is there anything else I can help with?

Adderall XR Amphetamine + Dextroamphetamine

Adderall and Mydayis[4] are trade names[note 2] for a combination drug called mixed amphetamine salts containing four salts of amphetamine. The mixture is composed of equal parts racemic amphetamine and dextroamphetamine, which produces a (3:1) ratio between dextroamphetamine and levoamphetamine, the two enantiomers of amphetamine. Both enantiomers are stimulants, but differ enough to give Adderall an effects profile distinct from those of racemic amphetamine o...

Hi, I have recently moved back to the new orleans area and need a doctor who liberally prescribes adderall. Any suggestions in the new orleans/metarie/ westbank area would be great. Thanks in advance ## Adderall is typically prescribed by psychiatrists and pediatricians, while general practitioners typically prescribe the medication for certain off-label uses. That said, I would consider finding psychiatrists and/or pediatricians in your area as opposed to a regular medical doctor. Reason being is that they are better trained in the types of medications that handle these problems and many general physicians are reluctant to prescribe controlled substances due to abuse and the heavy regulations that they have to abide by from the government. I know this isn't a direct answer to your ...

trying to find a doctor who will prescribe easily in NJ, who wont ask any questions ## Hi lexie, To my knowledge, virtually any type of doctor can see you for ADHD (pediatrician, psychiatrist, regular MD). Whether or not they want to pursue treatment is up to them and if so they might go for another medication rather than Adderall. Chances are if you walk in and say you have ADHD, then ask for an Adderall script you won't get it because it is seen as what they call "drug seeking behavior". Also, you can't expect them to not ask any questions, because that is essentially part of their job in making sure they give you the right medication and aren't just handing it over to someone who only wants to abuse it. Depending on your approach, I'm sure Adderall will remain...

I have been prescribed Adderal EX 3;20mg a day for ADD) I also took Lortab 5-500 every 4 hours for pain, I take prozac 40 mg, bupropionHCL 300mg, levothyroxine 25 MCG, Estratest full strength. pain releiver lollipop for mouth sores, I might have also taken 2 Extra strength Excedrine. could this combo cause me to pass out and have no pupil response and disorientation? ## The symptoms you described can be symptoms of an overdose, and that might be what occurred if you took all of these medications very close together. Ref: Overdose Symptoms Even when everything you take has been prescribed for you, it is still possible to just end up taking too many medications at once, since they can all cause side effects, such as dizziness, drowsiness, lowered heart rate, and lowered breath rate. I am not sure what to do. My 12 year old son takes adderal once a day for his ADHD for many years now. 2 years ago moved here and the clinic he goes to the office staff is very rude. So i went to another doc. but they will not see him till his records are transferred. As soon as the doc. got the transfer request they called and cancelled his appointment with no explanation. (No surprise to me). He needs these meds for school, without them there is a very noticeable difference. They run out on the 26th of Feb. so i have been skipping weekends in hopes to have plenty for school. I am not sure what to do. I know the doc. has 30 days to transfer files, and than i have to make an appointment with the new doc. which could take time to get in. Normally if my son doesn't have the meds for t...

My daughter took Adderall for three days at hard summer concert is now in a psychosis she can't sleep what should we do ## Give her xanax.. depending on age you need to ask ur dr. ## Hi Red, Sorry to hear about your daughter's intense reaction to Adderall. If I may suggest, instead of introducing another potentially dangerous drug like Xanax to the mix, I would encourage you to go the natural route with medical cannabis in controlled doses in conjunction with weekly meditation sessions. I'd also recommend consulting a doctor who is knowledgeable of the effects of Adderall but still open minded enough to accept the notion that more prescriptions (with just as many potential side effects) aren't necessarily the best answer to her problem. A lifestyle change, among other en...

I recently was prescribed aderal for my ADHD It seems to be working very well I take 10 mg about 630 am & then another at 2 30 pm But i seen to crash on it .Is this normal ? ## It does happen to some people. However, the operative question is, how soon after you take each dose do you crash? You may need a dosage adjustment, or perhaps the time released formulation.

I was taking Adderal IR with good, but odd results. Crash worse on 10mg twice a day than on 15 or 20. No irritability at 10, but frustration at 15 and very irritable at 20. Doctor put me on Adderal XR. Benefits seem much less...even feeling depressed today (the Adderal has really kept anxiety and depression in check), but very irritable. I don't crash like IR (sometimes even getting sleepy at 5), but I don't have the drive to get things done either. And irritability is very noticeable, sometimes pretty bad. Two weeks now and if anything, getting worse. Anyone else have these experiences? ## Hello, James! How are you? It may take a month or so, for your body to get used to the medication, so some of the side effects wear off and it reaches its full therapeutic level in your body....

I'm from Texas and I'm wondering if any of you guys have been notified by your PCP about the new triplicate policy? My PCP's office notified me that I have to go in each month for me to get my prescription instead of every 4th refill and I also have to pay whatever amount I pay for co-pay+tripcate and on top of that I'm required to do monthly EKGs. Has anyone heard of such new policy for 2016? I called another office to make an appointment and I was also informed that I have to visit every month to get a refill prescription. ## Don't know about Texas, but in NJ I have to physically do to my Dr. Office every month to pickup the script. I do not necessarily have to visit, just pick it up at the front desk. Although I was told I would need to visit every 3 months, and t...

i am trying to identify a small light blue pill with N008 on one side and a score in the middle of the other side. I was told that it is a 20mg Adderall. I have seen blue Adderall but they are 10mg. ## Hello, Stephanie! How are you? The round, blue tablet with the N008 marking actually contains 20mgs of Propranolol, which is a beta blocker that's most commonly used to treat high blood pressure, certain cardiac conditions and some migraines. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain, hypotension and dry cough. Is there anything else I can help with? ## d amphetamine combo salts and name brands are SO effective at 20mg. Generic Adderall and brand names are "Orange book's" - 99.5% in efficacy. SHIRES Adderall is still superior. But the generic versi...

I agree with you all in the difference between the peach oval generic pills vs. the orange round generic pills. The oval ones - I stay focused throughout the day at my job with almost no side effects. Recently, my normal pharmacy who I have picked my prescriptions up from for the 7 years switched to the round orange ones. Assuming they were the "same", I took them. The first day I already could notice a HUGE difference! My biggest complaint was the headaches! Not to mention very irritable, fatigue, weakness. I am not sure what the difference is in these two pharmaceutical companies BUT something is not right with those orange round ones. ## There can be some slight fluctuations in generic medications, they are actually allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus or ...

Can you please post back with them? If so, I will be happy to research this tablet for you. Just moved to santa ana orange county area. Seeking doctor who will prescribe me adderall ## Hello, Sunny! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. And due to the new regulations that have been put in place, if you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a specialist, so a psychiatrist would be required. The best thing to do might be to set yourself up with a new PCP and then have them refer you to someone that can help. Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area? This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, nervousness, anorexia, weight loss and insomnia.

I recently got the pink round 30 mg tablets and I find they make me tense up a lot more... sore muscles, shaky, hard to get motivated because I'm so distracted from the negative side effects... The only way I like this brand is if I take a Benzo with them to counteract. ## Hi, I think because there is a shortage right now, they are giving out corr brand vs teva(the orange ovals). The only thing I DO like about the pink ones is that they work super fast, like in 10-15 min, where the orange ones take around 45-1 hr. But yes the pink ones are a bit ruff. ## From what I could gather, it looks like the only differences between these two medications are found within the list of inactive ingredients. I went ahead and posted the list for each tablet so you can see for yourself what changes ...
