Actavis Aprazolam 0.25 round white R. This is the third prescription I have from Walgreens that does not behave the way it should. I took one: nothing. So I tried 2: nothing. Finally took 3: nothing. Is it bad? How do I find out and what to do about it? ## What is the Pill ID listed on the tablet? I have had no problem with Actavis products. ## I've been on xanax for years. All the professionals say there are no difference between generics. I just switched from Dava 1 milligram alprazolam to the same made by Activis. The Dava was putting me to sleep for 2 hours at the most. The Actavis just knocked me out for 9 hours and I still feel tired. Would someone explain that? ## Hi, Chris! How are you? I have taken small dosage of Alprazolam 0.5 ER in morning and 0.5 regular at bedtime for years. I have always had the generic Dava and it has worked fine. Now the pharmacy is changing to SunPharma. I refused it after reading about some manufacturing shutdowns. I am considering Costco shipping mine since it so much less expensive. They carry Boca generic. Walmart carried Purpac or Actavis. American generics in general have a pretty poor reputation in the rest of the world, and are priced higher than brands in almost any other country. Alprazolam has been removed from the UL NHS and is only available as Xanax brand - probably higher priced than in the US! We are forced to access our alps from other countries, the finest being found in Belgium, Argentina & Serbia. I have tried several US alps, kindly sent by kindred spirits there, but only one, the 1 & 2mg by GREENSTONE, were any good at all. Sandoz' GG249 are amongst the poorest I've had. Ok so a previous conversation I had with alprazolam user was with the newly approved Auribindo alprazolam ERs here in the US. They only make extended release here on US and they make instant release as well but do not believe they are approved in the US just the extended release ER/XR..and aurobindos is as follows: .5mg er- x 72 1mg er- x 73 2mg er- x 74 3mg er- x 75 I have not yet tried any of the auribindo alprazolam products. Anybody tried ALPROX brand 2mg bars? The ones I saw carried the same Actavis imprint (formerly Purepac) P039. When it comes to alprazolam from India I usually get Cipla TRANAX, the best pure alp (most alprazolam in India is in combination with sertraline) in India. When I take green stone it makes my right eye hurts and bursts my blood vessels so does sandoz 1mg alprazolam and the 2mg. I to my eye doctor my eye pressure is up. Started taking Mylan 1mg and 2mg alprazolam they worked until recently. They changed their ingredients pills r harder. Has sodium docusate in it...makes me more anxious stomach hurts. I have been getting the 2mg Greenstones the last few years and they work much better than the Actavis. Now i read that greenstones were changed back in early 2014. Is it people that take these to feel high or people who really need them for anxiety and nothing else? Regardless if they have been changed they're still much better Actavis and I have heard mixed results on Sandoz. Dava seems to be crap. Took it once (looks to be from Endo who bought out Qualitest). I am curious if there have been some reports about this generic I am prescribed and the pharmacy just recently switched over to these. I know they can vary slightly in the amount and their inactives are different, but this seems very strange. It's not helpful and it gives me a "dull" type of ongoing headache all day long. I have taken Teva brand alprazolam, 1mg, 3x's a day for years. I moved to Citrus County FL, 4 months ago, and I can't find a pharmacy that carries this, and they refuse to special order it. I am very sensitive to different medications and the other brands I've received are sub-par. Any suggestions? I've been getting Teva 10mg blues filled in the central belt of Scotland. I am prescribed Actavis 5mg valium from my GP and get 70 x 5mgs a fortnight, or 35 a week, 5 a day. I've NEVER seen or been prescribed blue Actavis and the people I know who work in the pharmacy have told me that they give out Teva for 10mg recipients. However, I take these Tevas and feel the same gouch on them as all other blue versions.....I really think the Actavis are snides and would stay well clear of them. Teva tastes, dissolves and react identical to the brand name. ## They are good. I work for Actavis the company that manufactures these and with 100% certainty the yellow R039 are not time release, instant release only. Hope this helps ## According to the U.S. National Library of Medicine, these yellow R039 by Actavis are in fact generic 2mg Alprazolam (IR) tablets. For verification, the National Drug Code is 00228-2039; and if you follow the NDC link there's also an image of the said tablet. i got omnes that were rounded at the edges and thicker than usual. i would like tooo know what they contain and if they have aNY alprazolam in it. i dont feel much when i take it ## Sounds to me that you have a counterfeit version of Actavis USA's Purepac brand 2mg alprazolam. These are branded as ALPROX (which I have never tried so can not give any opinions on strength or efficacy, although I have heard that they are indeed alprazolam but as with most Pakistani medicaments, are understrength.) Personally I would like, as an alprazolam user myself, to get hold of the real pill, whose imprint is 'P' (not 'R', though it is an easy mistake to make since the P for Purepac is a stylised logo with a small diagonal beneath the letter, which many mistake for an 'R') ...
