1.5mg/5ml of liquid hydrocodone, how many ml of this to make up one 5/500 Vicodin? And does the liquid stuff really expire? ## Hello, Joe! How are you? Yes, it does really expire. Liquids degrade pretty fast, so they are only viable and effective for a short period of time. As to the dosage, you didn't provide details on the amount of Acetaminophen, so I can't provide you with an accurate answer. Can you please post back with his additional detail? Thanks!

I had this bottle of liquid hydrocodone/acetaminophen 7.5-325 mg since 2014. I just want to know if it's still safe to take? ## No, liquids can go bad much faster than other forms and it could actually make you sick if you take it. The FDA warns that these medications also carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

IS IT SAFE TO INGEST APAP/CODEINE300-30MGTAB AFTER TEN YEARS ON THE SHELF? ## They don't get dangerous, after the expiration, but they do start to lose effectiveness, so being that old, it is highly doubtful that they will work very well for pain. If they were in an original factory sealed bottle, they are usually good for about 3 years or so and in a pharmacy bottle, they are only good for a year, after you purchase them, because that is when they are exposed to heat and light. Storage can also have an effect, if they have been kept somewhere warm and moist, then they will degrade much faster. Are there any other questions? ## APAP/CODEINE 120-12 Prescribed on 1-30-08 liquid, to help to sleep . Would this be any good? ## I found a prescription of mine of Acetaminophen 300mg/Codeine...

Is it OK to take...it exp in 2016 it says hydrocodone and acetaminophen. Barbiturate 7.5mg ## Hydrocodone is not a barbiturate, it is an opiate. And no, liquid medications tend to go bad much faster than solid formulations and, once expired, they may actually make you sick, if you take them. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
