I am trying to be supportive of someone who is addicted to pills (oxy, perc, vic-anything opiate). I thought I had an addictive personality until I watched him self destruct and lose everything for these things. He went to a 7day treatment center. And is now taking Suboxone. I used to do a lot of diff. pills when I was younger. Not even sure what they all were, I'm thinking mostly nerve and muscle relaxers, boyfriend used to just be like, here take these. I know we did somas, zanis and klonipin for sure, otherwise, don't really know. Took zanis about everyday, then we made a baby :) lol. Accident of course. Anyways, I am tempted just to try a Percocet just to see how it makes me feel. I just can't imagine losing everything I ever had for those things. At any rate, he is on S...

Hello! I’m a pharmacy technician trying to help a patient afford this and she’s tried many different insurance companies and coupons but the lowest she can get it is $141. Does anyone have any advice on the cheapest place to get it, good insurance that covers this, or good coupons? Anything would be greatly appreciated as she has tried so hard and I’m just starting to look around. Thanks I’m advance. ## Has she considered asking her doctor to prescribe a cheaper alternative? It might be cheaper for her to take a different one and just add an additional iron supplement, but only her doctor can help decide if that's safe for her to do. NDC code: 0430-0420 The FDA lists is typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, weight changes, mood changes...

Hello I'm trying to find out the new pain medicine that kids are taking today that replaces the pain pill oxycontin. I saw a show on TV about this but I can't remember what It's called? I think it starts with the letterA? It's the new drug craze today. ## The only one I can think of offhand that starts with an A would be Actiq, it contains the narcotic Fentanyl, which is over 80 times stronger than Morphine and is available as a lollipop, it's a formulation used for slow release of the medication. Does this sound familiar?

I would like to know how many Oxycontin brands and types there are. ## at least 8 i believe ## holy s*** lol woow that many i thought it just be one because i never really heard about it lol,, well any one knows any of their name, which be great, if i ever see any of my friend or some random ppl , i probably could notify them or try stoping them, and thanx for the reply. and Thanx again ## Yes, there are many different kinds out there because it is manufactured as a generic. This means many companies sell different doses of OxyCodone. Always a good idea to be very careful when there is a pill in question, especially with something as strong as this. Mixing Oxy's with alcohol can be fatal. Feel free to post back if you have any other questions or information to add.

Trying to get off Subutex and get on something stronger for my back . I have rods and screws in my back. I also have other problems with my back, but have horrible pain and need something stronger can anyone help me with an easy way to get off this medicine and fine a stronger medicine that will give me some relief. Thanks ## The only thing I can think of that may work better and be a little stronger would be Fentanyl, which is available in a lollipop form and as a patch that you can change every 48 to 72 hours. Learn more Fentanyl details here. It is over 80 times stronger than Morphine and most people go experience effective pain relief with it. Has your doctor suggested any other options? ## can't believe they gave u subutex for your back pain! why not morphine? hope they explain...

QI am looking for a good mild/moderate narcotic for break through pain . I am allready on hydro/norco 10/325 and it only las about 3-4 hours and thenn wears off. Any sugestions. Three bad dis in neck and fibromyagia with severe migranies i think being put out of me out misery would be better lol. ## Hi vonda, Based on your description, I get the sense that you may want to ask your doctor about trying an extended release pain medication, for something that lasts a lot longer than 3-4 hours. A few different options in that category are: AVINZA capsules are a modified-release formulation of morphine sulfate indicated for once daily administration for the relief of moderate to severe MS CONTIN (another variation of morphine sulfate) is an opioid agonist product indicated for the management ...

I have been on norco 10/325 for about 5 yrs now and have had some issues with it working and talked with my pain dr and she took me off it and gave me oxycodone hcl 5mg and was wondering if there is a difference and if the norco was stronger or the oxycodone and I have heard that oxycodone was very addictive is this true ## Oxy's are a lol stronger and I would say there bolth as adicting. The morbid was a higher mil. But perks are a lol better would try to get them in 10th nil. Tho if if tolorance is up from bein on em for that long. ## @Eric, I think ash answered your question pretty well. I just wanted to reiterate that every single one of these medications can effect you and I, and ash differently, despite being regarded as better or worse for the vast majority of people. I have ...

I have about 8 of the sulfameth/trimeth that were left over. I've had a horrible sinus problem for years and my Dr wont give me antibiotics, only gives me Fluticasone. Looked up my nostril once that's it. Fluticasone is useless. Very thick mucus, smells bad. Green, yellow, even kinda gray. Maybe I need a specialist I don't know but I will try anything to get rid of this. I have to blow my nose so hard I'm afraid I'm gonna have a stroke Lol. Seriously though, I can't handle this anymore. ## I think it might be time for you to see an Ear, Nose, & Throat specialist to try and get to the root of the problem. While discolored mucous does not always mean an infection is present, contrary to popular belief as documented by the NIH, sometimes it means your body is fi...

I personally don't have much experience with narcotic pain medications, but it sounds like you may want to speak with your doctor about trying an extended release narcotic pain medication such as Opana ER (ER stands for extended release), Oxycontin, or Morphine ER. Also, I do know from personal experience that exercise can really benefit those with fibromyalgia. My father has fibromyalgia and whenever he starts back on ...

Hi gals :-) Just sharing my experience with all of you. I had the Jadelle implanted a few months after I had my daughter about May 2011. I was having a period as normal once a month differing in length but nothing abnormal and much lighter flow than what I was previously use to.... I thought wow I'm lucky , ofcourse i was not lols I started to bleed a full week than stop than two/weeks later bleed another full week this carried on for two months I saw my doctor and was told its just my body trying to get use to the Implant and let it be for atleast 6-7 months (from my calculations this was about my fifth) so idid I waited a full two months and it got completely worse I bled constantly for that whole two months no breaks or anything somedays it would be verry light so ithought it may...

we have round (white) pill NA one side, RB the other side on the pill. very small pill. not sure... ## The small white pill with an NA on one side and an RB on the other side is a Capstar Pill. Capstar is a flea medicine for dogs from 2 to 25 pounds and it is an oral medication. ## Thank you for providing that information! ## You're welcome! It was driving me nuts trying to figure it out myself until today when I went to give one to my dog... no wonder the drugstore didn't have any information on it! lol

Then went to my liver lung and brain. I take methadone 10, Oxycodone 5 and after January 1st,2013 I won't be able to get my hydrocodone 750`s. I have constant pain. Do you have any ideas to get rid of this pain. ## Hello, Lola! How are you doing? I am so sorry about what you've been going through. You might be able to just get the lower dose and take an additional Acetaminophen tablet, or half of a table with it. Have you checked with your doctor, yet? They will be able to let you know if it is safe for you to do that. ## Have you considered alternative treatments? Try the Jim Kelmun baking soda and molasses recipe for pain reduction. My Methadone dose increase was stopped by my counselor at 85 ml. I'm on week 5 fresh off Fentanyl and Hydromorphone. The crazy thing is my counselor looked pleased that she stopped my dose as if she caught a drug addict trying to use drugs lol??? So I was told to see the doctor, I entered the office and my counselor came in with me she jumped on the patient's bed Indian style and a smirking grin as my doctor asked what was my issue? I said I'm trying to get to a blocking dose of methadone like 120/140. The doctor says there is no such thing as blocking does of methadone and told me No. What do any of you think about this? Feedback is appreciated good and bad thanks. ## I'm on my lowest dose of 120 since 1970. They said then that 40 was the blocking dose and you couldn...

Our dog had this pill in his mouth after coming in from a walk. Luckily he did not swallow it. It was white and octagonal shaped with CGV on one side and CD on the other. Any idea what this is? ## Well, his trying to eat it is actually completely understandable, this is a Sentinel tablet for dogs and it's beef flavored. LOL It contains Mibemycin and Lufenuron and it's used to prevent heartworms and fleas. I actually just saw the title to the post, so when I first did the search I though what an odd pill to find....then I clicked and read the rest of the post about your dog having found and was cracking it up, because it suddenly made sense. Is there anything else I can help with?

What do you do when neither Oxycodone or Dilaudid work for severe lower back pain, due to disc & nerve damage from a fall. I was on Oxycodone for quite some time but apparently built up a tolerence for it, so my doctor switched me to Dilaudid...I have felt like crap all month because I am still in excruciating pain...is there anything left to try that is better than these wo? ## You might want to ask about trying the Fentanyl patch (Duragesic) or lollipop (Actiq). It is pretty much the most potent narcotic available, since it is over 80 times stronger than Morphine. Learn more Fentanyl details here. What was your dosage of Oxycodone and what is the dosage you were given of the Dilaudid? ## my oxycodone dose was 30mg 4 x a day for breakthrough pain. When that did not work anymore the...

All who read this.. try changing your diet, eating fresh seasonal foods, Juice and smoothie often. get your heart rate up by spending 30 min a day (up to 3 times a week) doing physical activity (. walking, riding a bike, or kung-fu lol) Meditate and calm the mind, drink water, laugh, have safe intercourse, try something new... Because if you think taking drugs to ease pain is the only answer.. your dead(early)wrong. Dont spend your time on earth in a chemically induced haze. Not preaching just saying ## And just to add the specifics, Lyrica is not a narcotic, it is actually an anticonvulsant that has been shown to help with certain types of nerve pain and mood disorders. I am trying to understand how beneficial it is to work with a height-adjustable radiology workstation. Any Radiologists willing to help me? ## Well, I'm not the one that works in radiology, it's my husband, does that count? LOL Anyway, if is always better if you are able to work with a surface that can be customized to your height to prevent excess stooping, or excess stretching for someone that may be shorter... and it is even better if it is fully adjustable, so you you can stand, as needed. The NIH has several research studies available on this. The stooping and stretching due to the height of a surface being inadequate for the user can cause strain on various joints, the spine, and neck. Can anyone else chime in? ## Verwon, Thank you very much for the insight. It is very hel...

I'm prescribed 1mg k pins 3 times a day and I been trying to switch them to Xanax and the dr says they don't write prescriptions for them bc people were fighting each other for their scripts. So what she did was lower my dose til next month and said she'd give me value. Anyways I went to the pharmacy and filled my pins. I got outside and checked them and these yellow football pills were in the bottle, 90 of them lol. How does a pharmacy mess that much up and how am I going to get my dr to believe me? I was on Hydrocone for my migraine/tension headaches for 3 years my dr decided to stop prescribing pain meds to her patients. Now I'm at a loss NJ Is really cracking down. My new GP referred me to a neorologist and I was thinking about asking him about Fiorcet not Hydrocone but how do I ask without sounding like a addict? ## Hello, Lola! How are you? Fioricet contains a barbiturate, not a narcotic. It contains Butalbital, Acetaminophen and Caffeine. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, insomnia and nervousness. There should be no reason to worry about sounding like an addict. Just be honest about how bad they are and don't try to demand that he prescribed something. Is there anything else I can help with?
