So I never really thought this could be a problem with me but I think I may have ADD... i dont know aboutADHD. First let me tell you I am addicted to Opioids. However, have been going to a Dr for 2-3 years. In that time i have been onSuboxone. Only one relapse in that span which is actually amazing.. Anyways I recently hired an employee who has ADD...ADHDand we kinda played around joking about him burning food or what not and then really got into the conversation of howAdderallchanged his life.. and now that I know all these uses forAdderalland what it help I actually fit into alot of the reasons people take it. I finally convinced him to let me try a couple. . Rather than going to my Dr for fear he will think I am trading one addiction for another. And it really helped me.. not only in...

My Mother was down with acute bronchitis. Doctor prescribed her Omnacortil 20 MG for 4 days, then 10 mg for 4 days and finally 5 MG for 4 days. After completion of the medication, she completely recovered but as a side effect of the medication, it seems she is not able to smell anything or tastes any food. Initially she lost her ability to smell anything completely, however now she is able to smell sometime, erratically. So please help me understand how long it will take to completely regain her ability to taste and smell. Doctor said, she will gradually recover in 2 months time, but even after 2 months she has not recovered completely. It has been little over 2 months now. Please advise. ## Hi, my mother also is facing the same problem with the same reason... Did your mothers problem i...

I've been on the clonidine 0.2mg transdermal for almost a year with very good results. For about 2 wks now my bp has been around 150/90. Could the clonidine be losing effect on my bp? Before starting clonidine my bp was 200/110 and hr was 140 for weeks. Lisinopril 40mg did nothing but give me severe nausea and diarrhea. ## Hello, Buffy! How are you? Yes, your body will eventually get used to anything that you ingest for a long period of time and it will no longer be as effective. Sometimes it takes years for some people, but for others it may take only a few months. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and insomnia. Have you informed your doctor?

Have happily lost 20 lbs but is there a woman on earth who wdn't be thrilled w that? The downside is an already aching back becoming horrendously painful crying out for painkillers ! Also, more frequent need for real bathroom breaks. A difficult choice to make.....has anyone tried going on and off the drug in some organized manner.I went off it for 1 wk but the elephant became intolerable so I put myself back on .Now shall see what ensues re side effects previously experienced.s ## Hello, Congrats on losing the 20lbs! Although I just read that roflumilast can cause weight loss as a side effect, I can only imagine how great that might make someone feel if they felt the need or desire to lose weight. :) But while I don't have any personal experience on this medication, I did want ...

I've been on 1mg of ability with 50mg of pristiq mainly for PTSD purposes and my and some of my symptoms have worsened anger, hyper arousal, nightmares etc. I have tried other medications such as Zoloft,Prozac,Welbutrin all with no success or symptoms that became worse. Is there anything else that I could ask my doctor about? ## Hello, Cliff! How are you? Have you ever tried Risperdal? It has successfully helped many people for a variety of mental health issues, including depression, PTSD, schizophrenia and etc. It's very potent so tiny doses are often effective and the FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, somnolence and weight gain. It's an idea to ask your doctor about. Does anyone else have any ideas that may help? ## Try 2 m...

taking 2 mg of Ability with 100mg Pristiq for severe depression, with weight gain and fatigue now. On this med for 1-1/2 years, not happy with side-effects. Took prozac, cymbalta, and others a they ran their course. Depression better, but not happy with weight gain and tiredness. any other options available now?? Thank You- ## Pretty much all the medications used to treat such conditions can cause weight gain as side effects. Have you discussed the issue with your doctor? The only thing you might be able to do is up your exercise and cut down on your calorie and fat intake. ## Sandy I am also on 2mg. of ability, and 100 mg of pristiq, and am gaining weight, but depression is so much better, and doing more now, talking to people, and ect. So I will try to just control what I eat, so hung...

My pdoc prescribed 5 mg of ability twice a day, but when I mentioned an antidepressant he said that would not be a good idea....now he feels I have bipolar disorder but aren't individuals with bipolar normally on an antidepressant along with mood stabilizers or antipsychotics? I'm just confused......any input would be greatly appreciated Thanks ## In my honest opinion, a good doctor won't prescribe anyone more medications than they have to. Reason being (from my perspective) is that prescription drugs in general are only made to cover up (treat) the symptoms and emotions associated with the condition. But they do not help the patient fix the underlying cause of the condition. I'm stating this based on personal experience with severe depression for over 2 years, and cover...

Glyset Miglitol

Miglitol is an oral anti-diabetic drug that acts by inhibiting the ability of the patient to break down complex carbohydrates into glucose. It is primarily used in diabetes mellitus type 2 for establishing greater glycemic control by preventing the digestion of carbohydrates (such as disaccharides, oligosaccharides, and polysaccharides) into monosaccharides which can be absorbed by the body.[1] Miglitol, and other structurally-related iminosugars, inhibit glycoside hydrolase e...

does morophone alter your ability to think clearly? ## Are you possibly referring to morphine 200mg? I haven't found any medication at all under the name "morophone". To answer your question though, there are a number of potential side effects associated with this medication (i.e. lightheadedness, dizziness, nausea, headache, etc) that could probably alter your perception and thought patterns in a way that may interfere with your mental clarity. A complete list of side effects can be viewed here: nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/druginfo/meds/a682133.html#side-effects I hope this info helps!

I need to get off of cymbalta because I no longer have an ability to feel life. I no longer feel like I have what it takes to grow as a person and continue building myself. I feel stumped and I feel like my body shakes and aches because I am so frail. My life on Cymbalta is pure laziness and sleepiness. The problem is over-sleeping and not feeling active enough or energized enough to get out of bed. The active and energized person who had an ability to feel things and follow his drive has been completely tarnished by an over-use of this horrible daily drug. My brain has been zapped and "blocked" I guess you could say because this is a dopamine uptake inhibitor. I feel like there is a cloud in my head, almost like a little visor, or massive shield of blankness and loss of ability...

After a 9 month course of IV Amikacin, I have lost almost all of my ability to hear. I was not only not alerted of this risk by my physician, I was told by him that my amikacin was not causing my gradual hearing loss. Finally, when my hearing was permanently & profoundly lost, they admitted the amikacin was the cause and immediately removed me from this medication. Would love to hear from anyone else with a similar story. ## My sister has lost her hearing due to taking IV amikacin. She is very frustrated and very depressed. We hope that some of her hearing will come back. Have you had any treatmrnt or do you know of any to help this hearing return? ## I'm a 14 year old boy who was on Amikacin for 10 months, at about 8 months of using it I started to notice gradual hearing loss. ...

don't know much about it. Was given after cervical fusion c6-7, curious about its ability to reduce withdrawal after use of months opiates, either oxycodone or hydrocodone for neck and arm pain, for me it had some benefit in that it stopped anxiety enough to rest post surgery but I was getting low dosage opiate and was slow to come out of anesthesia. This was 15 years ago. Is this still used? are there better ways? It seems like I was angry to reduce so quickly since I was cooperative and congruent with goal of opiate free but It seemed like a very difficult process anyway. Almost cruel in a way but it did get me out of the hospital quickly. At time of surgery I was working up to 2 weeks before surgery in an ER at major hospital in Psych ER and using 80-100 oxy qd to manage. Post su...
