Found these pills and im curious as to what they are. ## We've had some pills with the AARP marking come up before, but have never found positive identifications for them. The reason for this is because they are all over the counter products. It seems that at some point, the AARP was selling some supplement products to its members are discount prices and, since they are over the counter products, the imprints do not have to be listed with the FDA. I am not sure if they still sell them, however. Learn more OTC drug details here. Where did you find them?

White round pill with imprint on one side only AARP 562 not scored ## White Round Pill with AARP 540 on one side only. ## I have been trying to find out what this is also. These are white not real small but, not large either. Kind of off white actually, imprint AARP 562 only. Not scored. ## These tablets are list as containing 200mgs of Ibuprofen, they are a generic, or store brand of Advil. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, increased risk of bleeding, stomach irritation, and headache. Is there anything I can help with? ## Sorry, that should have read listed as containing.

Aarp Pill Formula 285 round white pill with 285 stamped on one side and AARP on the other. What medication is this? ## I can't find any specific details on what they contain, but this is listed as being some type of supplement formula provided by the AARP, they have the 285 formula and the 287 formula. You can try calling them to find out, they can be reached toll free at 888-687-2277 If you do find out what it is, can you please post back and let us know, for future users? ## Thank you for this reply. I have given up and just threw the pills away not know what they contained. Aarp Pharmacy is no longer in business and now uses Walgreen's instead of their own sources.

What type of medication/vitamin is the pill marked "AARP 371?" ## I'm sorry, but several that use the AARP imprint have been asked about recently and I haven't been able to find identifications for them. It seems that the AARP offers over the counter items to its members at a discount, but since they are OTC, they are not required to log the imprints with the FDA. I'll keep looking and post back as soon as I know anything. Does anyone else recognize this and know what it is?

AARP is not an organization looking out for seniors and getting savings on drugs. AARP should have the following information at their fingertips and I have brought it to their attention in 2 separate emails. Pfizer has revised their patient income limit. The new limits are $47,080 annualy for a single person. If your income is below that level you can get drugs like Celebrex, Lyrica and others for FREE. Previously, my prescription for Lyrica and Premarin put me in the donut hole by March. Now, since I get them FREE directly from Pfizer I am nowhere near the donut hole. Pfizer is a great company looking out for seniors. AARP should be ashamed to themselves for not getting this information out to their subscribers.l Go on the site Pfizer Pathways and you will get all the info you need to ...

I have Medicare and AARP to cover the cost of my Rx, but need help locating a pharmacy that carries the medication Verapamil made by "Caraco". I presently am taking Verapamil er 180 mg at night, mfg by Caraco and I have tried other brands/generics with too many side effects. ## Unfortunately, there is no directory of what pharmacy carries a product from any given manufacturer that anyone can refer to for you. However, if you can post back with your general location, someone might be able to recommend a pharmacy in your area. As to any other options, the only thing you can really do is ask at your various local pharmacies, if they don't have it in stock, one might be able to order it in for you. Verapamil is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure, and certain cardiac...

Wife uses Folbic and has for several years (colonectomy). I am retired and have been forced to change insurance. New insurance (AARP Medicare Rx) forces me to use selected pharmacies (for us Walgreens). Walgreens doesn't have Folbic and forced me to buy Vite-Virt Forte for 73.17 (90 Tabs). I think this is a lot more than I paid for Folbic. Can anyone else validate this? ## I am also a Walgreens customer and was told Folbic was no longer available. I was changed to Vert-Vite, but seem to be having an allergic reaction. It also seemed to be more expensive. Can anyone verify if Folbic is still available somewhere besides Walgreens? Thank you! ## From my findings there don't appear to be any official announcements stating that Folbic is off the market. However, a drug monograph by N...

My doctor changed my patch dose from every 72 to every 48 hours. 75 mcg dose. My insurance refused to allow it. I have AARP (united healthcare). For me it would have been much better as on the third day I get no relief.... ## Hello, Aaron! How are you? I am very sorry about what happened. Most insurances will not cover it being used every 2 days, instead of every 3, unless someone has intractable due to a possibly fatal condition such as stage 4 cancer. I know that isn't really helpful, or comforting, I am just stating the facts. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Has your doctor made any other suggestions? They might be able to prescribe an additiona...

i have taken lyrica for over 2 months with no results ## I have been suffering from severe nerve inflammation for years now. I am on Medicare/AARP and my rheumetologist put me on Lyrica. I knew I was not covered but Lyrica has this special coupon for a week free and then only $25 per month for 12 months. This drug is very expensive but I was desperate to try it. I tried it for less than two weeks and it did nothing for the pain - made me sick as a dog - exhausted, depressed etc. If I want to feel like this I'll stick with the narcotics which actually work. Has anyone had significant pain relief from this drug? I had no pain relief at all and felt just as drugged as if I had taken narcotics. I think this is a drug that is just a giant money maker and don't understand how it got b...

THIS GENERIC DRUG PRESCRIBED FOR EYE INFECTION WAS $4.OO FOR 90 CAPSULES UNTIL YESTERDAY -WENT FOR REFILL AND IT COST ME $107.32 OUT OF POCKET ( I HAVE AARP PART D) FOR 90 CAPSULES. IT SEEMS LIKE DRUG COMPANIES ARE TAKING ADVANTAGE OF US OLD FOLKS !! ANYWAY NOT HAPPY ## Hi, Joyce! Yes, I ran into that recently myself and there have been several other posts on here about it. Even the pharmacists at the pharmacy I use were unable to explain why there was such a huge price increase recently, but they said that it had happened with all manufacturers, the price between them barely varying by a few cents. The best suggestion I can make is to ask your doctor if there is an alternative antibiotic that you can use that may be cheaper. Does anyone else have any ideas or suggestions?

Yes, it's ridiculous that both medicare and united health care will not pay for this! Or the generic librax. I have both ibs and an ulcer. This works for me. I'm with aarp! Anybody else on here in the same situation? Let's contact them to get help! Isn't that what they are here for? ## I am a State employee with total coverage insurance as well as pharmacy coverage. We just had to change to a new company in January. Librax is not in their Formulary, and is not covered. 90 day supply of brand name is over $6000 and generic is over $900. Even with good wages it is not possible to continue on with the drug. I have an appointment with my doctor in several weeks to try to work on a new medication.

What tier drug from the drug formulary is diltiazem ER caps 240 mg - also what tier is Verapamil SR caps. Thank you. ## Drug formularies aren't universal, so I can't help you find any information, without knowing what health plan you use, so I can search for the correct formulary. Any given list and tier can vary from one to the other, depending on their internal policies and coverage. Can you post back with more details? ## I am going to be on Medicare effective June 1, and am considering AARP United Healthcare plan F. I will need RX coverage, and am trying to find what tiers my prescriptions are. The on I can't find is Diltiazem Er. Is there a difference in tiers per insurance companies?
