Heparin Lock Flush Heparin

Heparin, also known as unfractionated heparin (UFH), is a medication and naturally occurring glycosaminoglycan.[2][3] Since heparins depend on the activity of antithrombin, they are considered anticoagulants.[4] Specifically it is also used in the treatment of heart attacks and unstable angina.[2] It is given by injection into a vein or under the skin.[2] Other uses include inside test tubes and kidney dialysis ma...

I went for a root canal procedure and my jaws got locked and am unable to open it properly and am in severe pain. Visited a specialist thereafter, who prescribed 5 days medicine aciloc 2 times, ceftas as 250 2 times, zymogesic 3 times, and Thiopas a4. Inspite of taking medicine 3 days no relief, in very bad state am virtual on liquid diet.

I had severe fall from several feet to cement-multiple compound fractures-minimal insurance-regardless pain increased after approx. 3months.(M.D. was CERTAIN of bone infection-I believed him incorrect as I have medical background) I had MRI which stated no osteomyelitis and after reading report didn't return. Didn't have blood work(was just to check for infection) so redundant. Eventually returned as pain and pain meds were awful and he starts nearly screaming the fractures were back-screws broken and blamed me for not following up! Was I supposed to go to money tree and have MRI weekly? No way to know why this happened-but what would cause screw heads to break off? Wasn't exactly jumping up and down. (tri-malleolar tib-fib) Now using bone stimulator and switched Docs. Never sa

Need to no if there's a blocker in the methadone 10mg pills? ## No, at this time, there are no Methadone tablets that contain opiate blockers. The FDA classifies this medicament as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## If you are not on methadone do not start!! It's for us that are chronic pain patients and for those getting off opioids. It's a b**** to get off of. It is designed to keep you from getting dope sick which is as bad as my spinal surgery locked in a box with spiders or chronic pain.

Is narcotic pain medicine becoming a thing of the past? Why are doctors across America phasing out the practice of prescribing effective pain medication? Will big pharmaceutical companies ever truly understand what it's like to face the other side of the coin? Lately there's been a musty scent in the air surrounding the use of prescribed narcotic pain medication. Many doctors appear to be running scared as the DEA scours through fields of medical records, inspecting prescribing pads like a mouse scavenges for food in a dimly lit cellar. Should the day come when doctors recommend Ibuprofen to a feeble man who's been involved in a terrible car accident (breaking several bones / requiring extensive surgery), is this doctor at risk of malpractice when there are more effective op...

I am currently a 17 year old male and senior in highschool, and suffered from acne for over 5 years. In 8th grade acne started invading my face. Freshman year it continued, and would not go away. We tried creams, pills just about anything you could possibly try. My sophmore year is when it erupted. Acne started forming on my back and chest, and I literally had boils on my back and chest. It was very painful. I also play football, and it hurt very bad to put on my shoulder pads, and the embarassment to even take my shirt off in the locker room after practice. It caused me a lot of stress. It hurt to take showers because the water would hit these boils. I had cystic acne. I had over 15 large pimples/boils on my back and chest both. This continued for another year. As I still tried creams,...

The cost of my etodolac has suddenly doubled. Has this happened to anyone else on here? ## Is this your co-payment or the full cash price? If it's your co-payment, then it would be due to some changed made by your insurance company. However, if you pay straight cash for it, then something has changed at the pharmacy. They may be getting it from a new supplier that charges a higher price. In many cases, they have a contract that locks in a given price for a certain period of time, so if a price suddenly jumps, it means that their agreement was up for it and they were forced to pay a higher amount for it themselves. We did a locker search and came up with some marijuana, hydrocodone and a black capsule with a dark syrupy fluid inside. There are no indicators on the capsule to help identity the pill nor is the bottle marked. Can anyone help to id this pill? ## Hello, Lynn! How are you? Without any markings, it's hard to say, but it sounds like it could be something similar to Dronabinol, which is a derivative of the THC in marijuana that's used medicinally to treat nausea, vomiting and to increase appetite, as explained by the FDA. There have been some available on the street that match this description. As I said, I can't be certain, so this is just a guess, based on your description. Does anyone else recognize this capsule?

I was having some tooth ache. Apparently 4 roots were isolated and i was on antibiotic about 8 days later i had slight swelling (right side) of my face and unable to open mouth fully (jaw got locked). i took this drug after a radical hysterectomy and removal of lymph nodes for bladder infection from 01/27/12 til 04/19/12. i quit taking after an allergic reaction. now have severe pain in hands, and in am or after periods of rest or not using hands fingers lock, i have to move with other hand. pain is severe. is there a bad drug suit? I have worked all of my life and want to continue working but hand pain is severe ## No, there is really no bad drug suit, so to speak. As long as something is warned about as being a possibility, in the side effects, regardless of how rare the possibility, then there really isn't much you can do if it happens to you. I'm sorry you're suffering, but that is why few lawyers will bother to pursue these types of cases, there just isn't much g...

I'm only on day two of zoloft. initial side effects are immense. I have been monitoring severe anxiety attacks with xanax for years. It is really the only way I function in society. I found out a week ago I'm pregnant and had to stop immediately. They prescribed zoloft. I am a bit familiar with antidepressant side effects and know that two days is too soon to give up. But the past two days have been so intense and scarey. My panics are through the roof. Trouble typing the shakes are so immense. Very hard to eat or sleep. And I'm getting lock jaw from grinding my teeth. And of course I'm worried about my pregnancy. I will certainly speak with my Dr about this but want to get through 72 hours or a week first. Anyone willing to talk any advice appreciated. Pregnant or not. ...

I have been prescribed Crosuva 20 (also known as Rosuvastatin). Anyone have side effects with this med? ## Medications in the Statin class, such as Rosuvastatin, are very well known to cause side effects in many people that take them. As a matter of fact, many have had to stop taking them due to the severity of them. The FDA lists the side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and joint/muscle pain. Have you started taking it, yet? ## Anybody suffering from Crosuva or Fluoride 250 meds? I have COPD emphysema. Thanks, Lou ## Hi ,you seem very knowledgeable , with the lockdown in Australia it's hard to see a dr these days plus no way would my dr admit that Crosuva (ROSUVASTATIN) may have neg effect IV been on Crosuva must be 7 mths by now,I'm 68yrz old since s...

I've taken celestamine before due to bad allergies. However I'm aware that it makes you drowsy but why does it make me very aggressive x 10. I would snap at any one I lock myself in my room to avoid people as I'm afraid to snap at any one. Does any one know why and is any one experienced this. ## Yes, some of them can cause irritability as a side effect, according to NIH reports. You may also experience dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. Are you on any other medications? How long have you been taking it? Have you considered talking to your doctor about trying a different medication?

By Rimsa of Mexico, capsule, 25 gm. Told was good for arthritis pain. Any info...ingredients, effectiveness, etc.? ## DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS WILL WORK FOR GOUT? ## Is it safe to take Artridol if one is a diabetic? ## I just picked some up during a lockdown flareup in my right ankle. The kind that feels like a car was parked on it. The Mexican pharmacy did not have indocine but they had ARTRIDOL. The attack was over in about 12 hours and 4 tablets. I went back and bought every package in the store. This has steriod so it is not a daily drug. It comes in blister packs of 10 in boxes of 20. It is worth a trip to Mexico and pick up some colchicine there as well but watch the dose. I take two Artridol with a flare up and one at 4 hour intervals with the last one before bed with plenty of w...

I have been in soma for a long time on and off. I have tried every muscle relaxer/spasmodic out there. All of a sudden my dr won't prescribe soma anymore?? I have a disease that has no cure and I know what works for me. I have given an honest try with all the other muscle meds, but I am at my wit end. It is ok to give me oxycodone and fentanyl patches but the soma is a no? I don't understand. I would need less break through pain meds if I still was in the soma. I was doing so much better. I am disabled and I am having a hard time with going to urgent care whenever I'm having spasm or my muscles are locked. Any suggestions? ## Hello, JJ! How are you doing? What happens if this stuff is swallowed? What could this cause? How would it make someone feel if they were to swallow it? ## Hi Jenny, The product combination you're referring to is reported to be a topical pain-relieving cream for external use only. If it is accidentally swallowed, I would encourage you to contact poison control immediately as well as the prescribing doctor for any safety advice. The "American Association of Poison Control Centers" is available 24/7 at: 1-800-222-1222 RE: "How would it make someone feel if they were to swallow it?" - I'm sure it would make that person feel very ill and depending on the quantity may be fatal, but I would not recommend swallowing it to find out.
