Amneal mfg, hydrcodone- apap 5-325 doesn't work as well as V 3604 or Watson 349- why? ## Hi Jane, I think I can help answer your question here. One of the primary factors that doesn't seem to be well known to the public, is that the FDA allows active ingredients in generic meds to vary by as much as 25% from the actual listed dosage. This could potentially mean that a 5mg hydrocodone may actually turn out to be 3 to 7 mgs depending on the manufacturer. Aside from that, subtle differences in the "inactive" ingredients (binders/fillers) could also impact the absorption/overall efficacy of the medication. Put two and two together and you pretty much have a different medication than what you may be used to taking. I hope this info helps! Have you tried any of the brand-name ... ...

white oval and with the letters watson 329 on one side and a line in the middle of the other side ## I believe the marking on this tablet may have actually been WATSON 349, which contains 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Lortab, this is a narcotic pain reliever. As such, it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more Lortab details here. An additional note I would like to add is that as of the end of 2012, the FDA requested that the dosage of Acetaminophen in all of these combination prescription products be lowered to only contain a maximum of 325mgs, due to the risk of organ damage associated with long-term use and the risk of overdose toxicity.... ...

i need to know what is watson white oblong scored pill # 859 used for ? ## I think the marking on this tablet may have been WATSON 349 and it contains 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen, the active ingredients in Vicodin, which is a narcotic pain reliever. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation and dizziness. Learn more Vicodin details here. Another note that needs to be added here is that as of 2013, the FDA has made a request that all manufacturers lower the amount of Acetaminophen in these combination prescription products to no more than 325mgs per dose. There are many concerns about the dangers of liver damage and failure that can be associated with long-term use of high amounts, as well as the toxicity of overdose. Some manufacturers have ... ...

The original prescription filled Hydrocodone 5 500 TAB MLKCM. imprint M357 They refilled with Hydrocodone/APAP*** (WATSON 349) and now I sometimes have blood in stool. Does the APAP have aspirin which causes internal bleeding with me, and caffeine, whcih the M357 does not seem to have that effect. What should I do? ## Neither of the tablets you mentioned contain Aspirin or Caffeine, they both contain Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen. (The Acetaminophen is what the APAP stands for.) It is not common, but it can cause stomach irritation and thin the blood, especially if you are taking 3 to 4 of these tablets a day. Learn more: Are there any other questions or comments? ...

half pill, white oblong with son 49 ## Based on the description provided, the closest match I'm finding is a white oblong pill marked "Watson 349"; identified as Acetaminophen and hydrocodone bitartrate (500 mg / 5 mg). There is also a score line in the center of the pill (where it may have been broken in half). This score line divides the "3" from "349" and also leaves the word "son" remaining from "Watson", when cut in half. Manufacturer: Watson Laboratories, Inc. oblong white watson 349 ## THIS IS A NARCOTIC!!! THIS IS NOT VISTARIL! And taking it as such would be VERY DANGEROUS! THIS IS A NARCOTIC!!! This tablet contains Acetaminophen 500mgs and Hydrocodone 5mgs, this is a generic for Vicodin! This is a very potent narcotic analgesic. This is used to treat moderate to severe chronic pain. It can cause many side effects and has high addictive potential. So this IS NOT VISTARIL and is in now way relate to it and acts in the body in a completely different way!!! ## LOL! I got U15 scored on back instead of A scored 349 for pain. What's the difference ? ## Hello, Jim! How are you? Both of these tablets are listed as containing 5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, so there is no difference other than the fact that they've been manufactured by different companies. This is very common with generics, they are usually made by multiple companies, because it creates market competition to help keep prices down. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Actually, U15 is oxycodone/APAP 5/325 MG's and not hydrocodone. ## Tracy is correct, my apologies. They both contain 5mgs... ...
