I'm from Texas and I'm wondering if any of you guys have been notified by your PCP about the new triplicate policy? My PCP's office notified me that I have to go in each month for me to get my prescription instead of every 4th refill and I also have to pay whatever amount I pay for co-pay+tripcate and on top of that I'm required to do monthly EKGs. Has anyone heard of such new policy for 2016? I called another office to make an appointment and I was also informed that I have to visit every month to get a refill prescription. ## Don't know about Texas, but in NJ I have to physically do to my Dr. Office every month to pickup the script. I'm supposed to take one tablet twice daily until finishing treatment. I was given 23 pills for a urine infection and 15 minutes after taking it I got a rash all over. What should I do? I'm diabetic. ## Have you consulted your doctor? Sulfamethoxazole with Trimethoprim is an antibiotic and a non-allergic skin rash can be a normal side effect, but you should talk to your doctor to determine what type of rash it is. Since it appeared in such a short time frame, it may be an allergy to the medication and you might need to try something else.

I began taking this medication on Tuesday. I understand it is the generic versions of Bactrim. I immediately felt a relief in the congestion and went on to take the 2nd and 3rd dose on Wednesday. While sleeping, I awoke with cramps up and down my thighs and calf. To say the least, that was a sleepless night. I telephoned my doctor the next day, on Thursday, to question with this could be a side affect of the drug. He did not believe so. By mid-day on Thursday, I could not stand in one spot for more than a minute. My legs and feet began to ache and forced me to sit. I have been in excrutiating pain.
