I have done the one thing I say I will not do every month with my vyvanse. I got 2 prescriptions filled this week one for 50 and one for 60. Now here it is day 4 that I have almost taken all of it. I am always looking for that ultimate high but it always ends up like this. The initial high is gone and now I feel like crap. I have barely slept or eaten and I am trying to get get past this stage of the crash. I am trying to hydrate and I am taking my normal meds prozac, lunesta, xanax. I do not want to keep with the cycle of smoking all day not eating and then having to take extra xanax and drink to go to sleep knowing I will feel worse in the morning. I am so uninterested in anything around me but I feel I need to be doing something. Any stories or advice would be much appreciated. *please... ...

My 8 year old daughter is on 40 mgs of vyvanse it helps her focus but makes her head hurt and if I don't feed her before she will not have a appetite all day.The first time today I gave her cereal and milk and about 4pm she through up ## Hello, Worried! How is your daughter doing? This is a stimulant drug, so loss of appetite can be a normal side effect that some people experience, when taking it. The headaches are also a common side effect, along with the nausea. She may also experience dizziness, nervousness and insomnia. How long has she been taking it? Most of the typical side effects will wear off, after about 4 to 6 weeks, once her body gets used to the medication. However, if they don't, or if they worsen, she may need to be switched to a different medication, as this mig... ...

However, when certain inactive ingredients are present, I hear that it may actually come off as being sweet. Does anyone else find this to be true as well? If there aren't any markings on the capsule or some other feasible way to identify the substance and dosage, your best bet would probably be to have the contents... ...

I have also lost a good portion of my appetite (which is okay, as I'm somewhat overweight. 6'5" 280 lbs, though I am also an offensive lineman for the high school). How long do these effects last? Do they wear off the longer I take them? ## Hi Cameron, I'm glad this medication is working well for you. Over time, the effects you are experiencing may level out some due to an increased tolerance and may not continue to be quite as strong. Vyvanse Regrets

About five years ago, I started Vyvanse 30mg for depression. For the first couple of years, I felt wonderful. I seemed to have more energy, felt more social, and lost weight effortlessly. What wasn't to like? Then, the med became less effective and my dose was increased to 40mg. I struggled along for another year and a half, with some benefit. Then, the bottom fell out. I began to experience the very opposite of my initial effect. I'm tired all the time, irritable, argumentative, and have gained back all of the weight I had lost, PLUS some (despite no major change in my eating habits). I made excuses for why I should keep taking the med, hoping it would be good again. Now, I've had to admit that this is no longer the med for me, and I'm in the process of being tapered of... ...

Vyvanse gave me my life back! I have nothing bad to say about it. I didn't feel I was depressed, etc......I just had no motivation because I was so tired all the time. I KNEW I was sleeping my life away and was not happy with that. It's been 3 yrs...and i feel vyvance is not working as well as it was. I'm sleeping again. I tried a generic of Adderall in the evening, until that no longer works. Today, the doc gave me fetzima to go with my vyvance. Haven't started it yet. Does anyone have feedback or any suggestions as to what to take to feel the way i did with the beginning of vyvance?? ## Hello, Sally! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems you're having. I got a prescription for Vyvance for BED about 6 months ago and never started it. Do you think it's expired by now, and won't work if I start it? ## Hello, Amy! How are you? No, it should be fine, if your doctor still approves of you trying it. Tablets and capsules are usually good for at least a year from whenever you received them from your pharmacy. The FDA classifies Vyvanse as a stimulant, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as dizziness, headache, dry mouth, insomnia, nervousness and anorexia. I'm a 17 year old Junior in High School and I have been taking 70 mg of Vyvanse for longer than I can remember, even before 7th grade. Recently my boyfriend has been telling me it's making me depressed. I can usually tell when my medicine has worn off and one night I was acting happier than usual because of that. He told me I should just stop taking it, but my mother who's recently been very controlling tells me otherwise. Would it really be that bad to just drop it? Also, out of curiosity, i often forget I take my pill and end up taking a second one. How much is too much? ## Hello, Himeko! How are you? i know one of the side effects of vyvanse is insomnia. i can't sleep at all on this stuff, usually i get four or five hours of sleep per two nights. on a good day i'll get six or seven but again, that's over the span of two nights. i take vyvanse every morning except for the weekends, and it gives me enough energy that i can function mentally as though i've gotten all the sleep i need, but my body is achy and sore, and it's starting to make me feel a bit ill. Not to mention i have trouble getting out of bed at all on the weekends when i don't take it. all i'm basically asking is this- people with 60-70mgs, if you have the same problem, how do you get to sleep? is there any way to combat the insomnia without nullifying the medicine? I already take Olanzipine (... ...
