Do I need a perscription for claritin d 24 hour? ## @big t, Even though the packaging says "prescription strength", Claritin-D 24 Hour is actually an OTC medication commonly found in many retail pharmacies and even places like Target, Walmart, etc; so you shouldn't have any reason to need a prescription for it in my opinion. However, if this is something that your doctor recommended for you, it may be wise to ask him/her any additional questions pertaining to its use. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Pseudoephedrine Details On a side note, filling out a prescription is your doctor's job (not the patient's) and it would be illegal for anyone else to try and put together a fake one. I hope this info helps!

Ask your pharmacist to check for any possible interactions and if you have questions, you could always consult with the prescriber. Is there an interaction with Tramadol HCL 50 and Pseudoephedrine HCI 120mg? ...or worded another way... I took a Tramadol HCL 50, 3hours ago. Can I now take Pseudoephedrine HCI 120mg (Sudafed 12 Hour)? ## Hello, JD! How are you? The only issue that I found listed was that the Tramadol increases sedation, while the Pseudoephedrine decreases it, but it should be fine to take, as long as your doctor approves. As listed by the FDA you may experience side effects, such as nausea, headache, dizziness, nervousness, insomnia and anxiety. Is there anything else I can help with?

Pseudoephedrine is a BCS class 3 compound. What is needed to get a biowaiver for an EU country (FDA has a more stricter view on BCS class 3)? Would dissolution data work? I can't imagine conducting a BE study for an OTC drug, but can't find justification to waive one. Thank you! ## Although I'm not totally familiar with this topic, I did come across a brief article of information that I thought could be of assistance. Unfortunately it's not European-based, but I hope it helps shed some light on the FDA's level of strictness: "Biopharmaceutics Classification System (BCS) is a regulatory mechanism through which drug developers and generic companies can obtain a waiver of clinical bioequivalence studies, also called a biowaiver.
